anyone know,if Ooltewah-db scrimmage is 7 on7 or full scrimmage?

Huge game right out of the gate for both teams.Probably give Riverdale the edge on offense (for now)....learn a little more after Friday and then the jamboree.DEFENSE-All owls,but I'm pretty sure Riverdale will be no slouch there. My prediction(and I know its very early)Ooltewah will win a very close ball game because its a home game and our defense is very,very good. score could be 17-14,14-12 etc...maybe lower than that,unless special teams do some scoring.Good luck to both.......GO OWLS!!!! all thoughts welcome?

Saw a group of boys from central other day....they said they where all linemen for Central,do not know,if they were seniors or what,but very small for linemen and linebackers.They had a good attitude,said they've been working hard.Maybe they will surprise some people?

No problem with rooting for our team! Ooltewah has a chance to be so dominate on defense,if they can move the ball at all.,. 4 yards per down,big play here and there,they can do a lot this year,but anything can happen.......do I even need to say it? (rhea).Oh and I forgot...we need a kicker.

Im not saying owls are going to go out and play WITHOUT a qb.....I just saying they have a senior that actually started the beginning of last season,so no big scare there.,.just saying he didn't get a lot of time under center.,.and replacing a couple of o-linemen isn't a bad thing.Offense will be better than first expected just a few weeks ago.And I stand by the Ooltewah defense(I don't go overboard just for sake of causing a stir)....9 seniors that have all started for 2-4 years.,.and 2-3 running backs that are bad to the bone.I don't know,if Owls will win a state title or even make to cookville,just saying,they are going to be very,very good.

Owls defense will be one of ,if not the best in the state(totally my opinion).,.but I really believe it.Offense will be pretty good...going to have to find a QB and a O-linemen or two. All friendly comments welcome...hahahahaha ok 1,2,3 GO!!!!

I'm not delusional about anything when it comes to talent,coaching etc....but my 2 cents is this:Ooltewah's defense is no joke,period.They have been one of the best for a couple of years around here and in the state,when all or most of them where freshman n sophmores and now they are seniors.They are no joke,the offense will be subject to rebuilding in some spots,QB,O-LINE a couple of recvrs,but the defense will be no push over.If anybody thinks Riverdale will come to Ooltewah and mercy rule them is absolutely insane.14-17 points could win it for Ooltewah.Riverdale will be good,Even when some of the middle tn teams are down,they are still good competitive teams year in year out.If Riverdale is as good as they think they are,then this will be a good game either way.I don't care what anyone from rhea county says about last years playoff game,it happens.....Owls were not ready for anything that night(the cold,or the option/veer)they thought they were,but they were not.,.last year is over and done with.Anybody can beat anybody on any giving night.21st will be a good game,ONE GAME,WIN OR LOSE DOES NOT DEFINE A SEASON FOR EITHER TEAM.Doesnt matter its how you start,its how you finish.GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS

I was just reading up on Cathedral hs.....good lord,they are the real deal.I really hope rhea co.gives a good showing and hopefully wins.(probably not going to happen).but,if they did win that would be awesome.

That's what I thought.You cant do it.Simple question.And you think the irish will dominate and make another deep run?They lost just about everybody from the best team they every had,and you want me to answer my own question.you are supposed to be the insider,the expert,the know it all and you cant tell me who is going to fill in 19-20 positions?

ok...boog,if you know more than everyone else(and you should)make a list of all the returning starters from last years team.,.and/or the projected starting line-up of this years explosive,dominating irish squad.

I forgot about Ballard(RB),but it will not matter.

Irish loses everybody on both sides of the ball except QB and one LB.....they beat Howard and East Ridge that's probably it,maybe Central,too.Last years team was the best team ND ever had,period.,.but that was last year.The irish will revert back to the same ol irish of years past and end up 2-8/3-7 maybe.

Just curious about any good teams in the area I have 2 nephews playing this year(one at Ooltewah,other at Notre Dame)....what district or region are they in(they didn't know) and are they supposed to be good at all.? and any really,really good teams to out and watch beside these 2?

ND lost their starting running back last night left with his foot/ankle in a boot....so what now?

This game will be closer than you think for maybe the first half maybe into the 3rd,but irish pull away big.

Rhea-County was more than ready....for this game!!! Now grant you Ooltewah did everything they could to give it away from the opening kick off to last play.I love the fact rhea didn't wear 20lbs of clothes under the pads like Ooltewah did.rhea looked old school-no sleeves,no socks(and played like it)owls looked like the lil kid from Christmas story that couldn't get up!!! You know its your night when you fumble,owls pick it up,fumble it and da eagles recover on the 4 yd line going in. Ooltewah's qb had his worst night ever(at the worst time)some of it was his fault,some goes to the o-line and a lot goes to rhea's defense.Thing is,when all you do is pass and its freezing outside,its sometimes hard to throw,which was the case tonight.,.but when all you do is run the football as good as rhea can,it doesn't matter if your in a foot of mud or the rain or the frozen tundra,you are going to be successful.Cant get over how bad Ooltewah played and how good rhea played.Rhea should beat the snot out of oak ridge......feel sorry for Ooltewah they had high hopes.Good luck to rhea county for the rest of the way,they hae something good brewing over there.

My 2 cents-notre Dame will beat every team the next few weeks. notre Dame has the best team,they have ever had. Notre Dame fans are very excited about their football(and they should be) .......but there are a lot of very delusional ND fans as well. I also heard nd fan own our local radio last Friday and for him to say nd has NO WEAKNESS is a very comical statement at best.Nd is lucky enough to have the right team at the right,this year.(a squirrel has to get a nut sometime). With that being said......to beat a pitful team like CSS in the first round(a team they beat a few weeks before by 40 pts in 1st half ).to come out and say "NOBODY CAN STOP YOU AND ND HAS NO WEAKNESSES"is bold and boldly stupid. the irish will get a very,very RUDE awakening,IF they make it to ALCOA(and they should). I always pull for local teams come playoff time....but ND fans need to never look past your opponent for that week(trust me,I know).and with no back up qb,better hope nothing happens to the starter,because he is very good and makes the whole offense click.Good luck to the golden domers.......
