One thing I am curious about is that all these media people that are saying this game is a toss up if I am hearing correctly needs to just listen to the Freepress so called experts who did not have the Pirates in there top 10. If anyone has disrespected us it is them. They want to cover the Pirates especially at the end of the year when we are usually the only ones still playing but they pull something like that. Big Bad mccallie gets beaten by Tyner who the Pirates beat the last 2 years. Signal Mountain ranked that high after the Pirates waxed them last year and lets not forget North Jackson who always are ranked ahead of us until the same team who they are supposed to beat every year knocks them out of the playoffs. This is just something that kind of burns me. They keep Stephen Hargis under control up there but we need someone fighting for us.

Well it is time and I am glad. Both teams have been picking on teams that could not beat them with the Jets D. The best thing about this game will be the atmosphere and can I say without sounding to bias that the game of the year is going to be between 2 of the smaller schools not the big ones in Tennessee. The only thing SM is going to find out is that is is tough coming to the BURG and having the fans right in your face going crazy. They have not experienced anything like it and it could be disturbing. I am glad everyone is healthy and I hope the refs let them play. 6 touchdowns called back of an average of about 50yds per give me a break. See all of you at the game.

Why does it not surprise me that Mr Chubb from South Pittsburg is on this list. Well we will wait till the end of the year and see then. Typical early season list. All that needs to be said is the PIRATES is the only team in Marion County and will destroy Jasper this week. I would almost bet we will not even get the jasper fans to come down the road to even set through this beat down. Do you think that coach up there in jasper is thinking it was better to be a assistant for the Pirates than the top dog for jasper?

I hope everyone is healthy and hope Jasper wins but I am not convinced they will but no matter what it is about that time for the warriors and the PIRATES to meet. Only bad things can happen then to bad all the bad things will happen to the purple and white guys.

I think it is so funny that the freepress pole never has us rank up near the top until the end of the year when we are usually the only one's left. It is always Red Bank, Baylor, Mccallie, Boyd, The georgia teams and even North Jackson. But as usual we will be there at the end and ahead of Signal too.

We have always had competition from the usual suspects form Trousdale County to even Jasper back in the day when they were Single A. We are not afraid of that we just don't appreciate someone who hasn't done anything yet thinking they are comp for us because we are going to be there year in and year out. That's not bragging, that's the facts. The reason you will find us support Trousdale and them support us is because we both play hard nosed football and respect each other. RESPECT a word some people do not understand and in the playoffs which I know you will make and do well in I hope you get to play Trousdale so I can sit on there side and wear my Pirate shirt and know you have been beaten by 2 teams that will always be there. The question is Will You?

7 on 7 is retarded because there is no rush. Throwing a football on your back but of course you have probably never played in your life and think 7 on 7 really tells your where you stand. Brag about that thumping you got from The Pirates last year because if Vic hadn't called the dogs off it would have been worse. The one thing I wish we would kind of get away from is all the show boating before warm ups. It just takes away from the hard nosed Pirates of the past.

Obvious your idea of success and our idea of success is a little different but us being different is obvious. You can take it anyway you want it just do not act like you do not know what people are talking about when they say you are recruiting because I know you are not that in the dark.

I really do not care if you recruit or not. The problem is you talk too much and so far haven't done anything. You started last year with the whole you are going to show us something we haven't seen before bull and it just keeps getting worse. I could let that slide if your coaches were not big mouths as well. We are just a simple hard working single A school who have to compete against bigger schools to fill our schedule out and we will COMPETE! Sometime we win sometime we lose but we do it with the kids who have come up through our school system not new guys who show up and take a hometown kids place. Enjoy your success and support your kids but if you lose keep your mouths shut because your coaches did everything and I mean everything possible to win. PIRATES FOREVER

I'm pretty confident to say that you will see a lot more than 4000 especially if we are both undefeated at the time. I'm just curious how many of the more than 4000 will be yours.

Wait till you come to South Pittsburg this year so you can see what tradition and fan support really is because we have been doing it a lot longer and so far a lot better than you have.

The train whistle at Jasper and going to play at a Private school and on there campus there so called football field and stadium is worse that your practice field at home with less places to sit. Sound familiar Boyd

I can't believe I am saying this but I can't wait for Jasper to get back to where they use to be so I can hear how good South Pittsburg and Jasper both are instead of having to hear constantly about Boyd and Signal. It is enough to make you sick. Those two schools have no tradition and not a lot of class. I've always heard the expression you can fight your brother but no one else can. I don't consider Jasper, South Pittsburg's brother or anything like that but I would give money to see us both destroy Boyd and Signal and I will go see both teams play them if there is not a game conflict of course.

Thank you OLD PIRATE for this topic because it sure has brought back some great memories. I was thinking the other day that a bunch of the best games, simulations, competitions, and events were not even up on the main field but was down in the hole. I mean the hole before it was fixed up and looked better than Boyds field. I mean where we would go down and learn how to play and scrimmage. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. This was beat into our heads and in my mind and in many other players there greatest moments came sweating down in the hole and busting heads down there so it was always a little easier up on the big field.
