  1. ...certainly try to feed it back to you if "their" team wins. By the way, the Alcoas Painted Bridge guy is the radio announcer for Alcoa. Good luck. (Hope to see you in Cookeville next year as we plan on beating Alcoa next year--they lose a LOT of their playmakers this year.)

  2. Finally, a word of advice--I have no idea how good Goodpasture is--obviously pretty good. However, I have been watching HS football for going on 30 years now--I've seen teams all over TN. This Alcoa team is EASILY the best HS football team I've ever seen; doesn't mean they can't be beaten, just means it's not likely. So be careful how much "crow" you toss out to these Alcoa guys because they'll.

  3. ...that most of us grown-ups do. They have a successful football team to "attach" themselves too, and anybody who says anything the least bit critical is the enemy. They act like they're such big fans of CAK (my son's team) now, but before the CAK games (more so before the reg. season game), they were giving us CAK fans the same sort of crap they're giving you....

  4. Good luck against Alcoa. A word of advice--don't let these Alcoa jokers on here get you riled up; they actually revel in getting people all worked up, then they act like they "got" you. No amount of logic will convince them that you're making valid points; it's like arguing with a child. The most prolific Alcoa posters on here don't live by the same moral compass...

  5. It's like arguing with a brick wall. They are so caught up in "their" team that they refuse to acknowledge an Alcoa player could possibly do something wrong. And if you point it out they simply label you a whiner. Don't let these jokers get you too riled up. They truly are irrational people.

  6. sorry never ment it that way...just ment to be a tip since they dont stop

  7. You're not going to convince any of the die-hard Alcoa posters on here about the flagrant nature of Tallant's hit on Mead. They are so blinded by loyalty to their team that they simply can't acknowledge that one of their players committed made a cheap shot. You counseled me not long ago to shut up and let these jokers say what they want because their team is king of the hill. Change your mind?

  8. See Warrior 11's post above--If a CAK player made that kind of cheap shot against a defenseless Alcoa receiver after the ball was already past him, and the receiver had lowered his hands because he had no chance of catching it, and there's a good chance the ball wasn't even intended for him anyway, I would acknowledge that the player made a cheap shot. If you look around, you might notice that some of the staunchest defenders of Alcoa on here are not jumping to 16's defense on this one. But if you watched the same play that I saw and don't think it was a cheap shot, then we live in two different realities. I will tell you though, that I've spoken to literally dozens of people who watched from the CAK bleachers and haven't found one yet who thought it was a clean play by 16. So if I'm "ignorant" on this issue, I'm in some good company among many people whose opinions I respect highly.
  9. It's advice, not advise, and I actually represent paramedics rather than chasing ambulances. If you're going to be such a smarty pants telling me what to do with my time, you ought to do a little research and find out what I do. Also, it's definitely, not definately. You need a dictionary or a spell checker more than I need a rest.
  10. Just because you say "that is the question" doesn't really make it "the question." Stick to your day job, if you have one; rhetoric is not your cup of tea, Mr. Popcorneater.
  11. It's quite sad that you have to make things so personal. Does it make you feel better about yourself? Stop and think before you answer that. All I did was come to the defense of one of our boys who was being, in my opinion, unfairly picked on by the guy who takes his name from your football field. I obviously am not as much of a football expert as you; you seem to believe that you know everything. I'm beginning to realize that APB has a little class, even though he and I might have different views on some things. I can't say the same about you. Your posts are just not nearly as funny as you seem to think they are. So, whatever your job is, you might ought to stick to it and spend a little less time telling me what to do. Have a nice day.
  12. It did not look like you were throwing stones, and you don't owe anybody an apology. A message board poster who wasn't on the field with you last night is trying to be picky with your wording to distract from the fact that the shot was indeed ridiculously cheap and unnecessary. The insult was made worse by the fact that none of the officials saw it or, if they did, had the guts the pull their flag. Kind of soured the end of an otherwise exceptional ball game by both teams. Hold your head high, Warrior, you fought the battle well.
  13. I enjoyed your post about APB, but it will fall on deaf ears. He, along with BCSportsfan and F5seekshelter, are so obnoxious they can't even see how obnoxious they are. If you guys beat us (CAK), I would encourage you not to visit the inevitable "Polk v. Alcoa" thread next week. Those guys will just make your blood boil. Have a safe trip if you're coming to the game tonight.
