...certainly try to feed it back to you if "their" team wins. By the way, the Alcoas Painted Bridge guy is the radio announcer for Alcoa. Good luck. (Hope to see you in Cookeville next year as we plan on beating Alcoa next year--they lose a LOT of their playmakers this year.)

Finally, a word of advice--I have no idea how good Goodpasture is--obviously pretty good. However, I have been watching HS football for going on 30 years now--I've seen teams all over TN. This Alcoa team is EASILY the best HS football team I've ever seen; doesn't mean they can't be beaten, just means it's not likely. So be careful how much "crow" you toss out to these Alcoa guys because they'll.

...that most of us grown-ups do. They have a successful football team to "attach" themselves too, and anybody who says anything the least bit critical is the enemy. They act like they're such big fans of CAK (my son's team) now, but before the CAK games (more so before the reg. season game), they were giving us CAK fans the same sort of crap they're giving you....

Good luck against Alcoa. A word of advice--don't let these Alcoa jokers on here get you riled up; they actually revel in getting people all worked up, then they act like they "got" you. No amount of logic will convince them that you're making valid points; it's like arguing with a child. The most prolific Alcoa posters on here don't live by the same moral compass...

It's like arguing with a brick wall. They are so caught up in "their" team that they refuse to acknowledge an Alcoa player could possibly do something wrong. And if you point it out they simply label you a whiner. Don't let these jokers get you too riled up. They truly are irrational people.

You're not going to convince any of the die-hard Alcoa posters on here about the flagrant nature of Tallant's hit on Mead. They are so blinded by loyalty to their team that they simply can't acknowledge that one of their players committed made a cheap shot. You counseled me not long ago to shut up and let these jokers say what they want because their team is king of the hill. Change your mind?

I enjoyed your post about APB, but it will fall on deaf ears. He, along with BCSportsfan and F5seekshelter, are so obnoxious they can't even see how obnoxious they are. If you guys beat us (CAK), I would encourage you not to visit the inevitable "Polk v. Alcoa" thread next week. Those guys will just make your blood boil. Have a safe trip if you're coming to the game tonight.

Wow. I didn't realize there were so few teams in D II. I saw a little bit of MUS's game on TV against Christian Bros. but didn't see the ending. Hopefully CAK's strong showing against Alcoa will give them some confidence if they're lucky enough to face Alcoa again in the quarter-finals. Good luck to your Owls! Who is their first round opponent?

Thanks a bunch. Hopefully if our guys are lucky enough to make it far enough to play Alcoa again in the playoffs they'll have some confidence knowing they can hang with the Tornadoes. I've decided to take your advice from earlier and not let these Alcoa "fans" get my blood pressure up. I haven't seen the whole brackets yet; did MUS qualify for the playoffs?

Your scold only encouraged them to pile on me even more. That's the kind of folks you're dealing with. The Alcoa program is classy; the handful of jokers on here just enjoy being mean and rubbing everybody's noses in the success of the Alcoa football program. But I'll try not to continue making a fool of myself by butting heads with them.
