Outside of that YOU are irrelevant! History does repeat itself........in Jasper and SP....We win EVERY decade and always have....MC DOES NOT!! Like ole TT has already said the TRAIN is coming!!!! Wow wow wow! It's unfortunate that this has turned south before it ever got started but honestly Grider should have done his homework better. He had Wilson, Stone and Heath all there under his noes. Not to mention Tom Moore... Any would get the job done. Although, I loved the hire lets be honest here any new blood is a upgrade and u can keep the TRAIN rolling from within. Rocky best hope not! SP needs "The Train" to return to his Soph form. Lost some hunger after early success but will step up this year as a SR. This class has always been dubbed "The next great class" and they have yet to win one. Time is ticking... Him and Mitchell will be hard to deal with in same backfield no matter what offense they run though.... That is all

Too many women on here that wears their heart on a sleeve....Now I read all the new coaching suspense and even though my post never saw the light of day and this one may mot either but the hire didn't surprise TT...Not one bit...Grider said he was going outside SP to hire somebody and thats exactly what he did...Some questioned the hire but really why would he give up the job to Stone when he has things going so good in baseball? D Wilson is back making girls bball relevant again and now Grider is going to do softball. If Rocky Ross is able to live up to his billing its a big upgrade in football too. Grider set the bar sure but everyone knows 1A is weak as water during SP's most recent run. We won 2 of last 6 but dont let your memory fool you SP was the favorite EVERY year of those...The program needed some new energy honestly...SP now has potentially the best set of coaches in place it's EVER had....No idea who is going to run the ship but I'm sure the 4 wise men in place will handpick them a Cpt soon enough...That is all....Little Monday afternoon Venom for those who has missed it.......

Man The Law dogs only let me see light when they choose. Glad to see someone finally opened the door (after knocking for months) and threw me some table scraps! You guys finally got over the SP hump then took care of bidness...Where do u rank this team in comparison to 83,84 teams? I thought last years team as well as this years from what I saw was similar from a talent standpoint as 88 team which some still say is your most complete team. Secondly the RB returns but do u think he can carry the burdon next year? Seems like alot of simalarities to me between next years team and 89 team. Both lost alot but both bringing back a big piece of the TRAIN.. I know some SP folks def still have nightmares about Jamie AngelÂ

Anthony Martin was one of best and helped carry the team when Westmoreland couldn't in 95 season.....I would have to say he is in top 10......Wasnt Jamel Coffee a 2 time all state runningback in late 90's? He never did much against SP but how many can say they was all state 2 years from MC at RB? Janeway has to be top 3 behind Westmoreland and Brown as well

He will have to be without Johnson!! They won't have Lil Johnson next year to have everyone's attention so he will be asked of ALOT...Now I doubted the kid early on but Stone ended up being SOLID......That kid along with Johnson answered the bell this year when they were needed most..Both had big years....I will say this though he was a better spread QB than WingT though...He threw for a buttload of yards in 2011 with a injury plagued WR core and then really took a backseat this year in the T without any playmakers at WR....Fitz will be a dandy too though! However the spread is not the answer as they do NOT have a Johnson or R Hale coming back....Lankford is more power than speed and needs to figure that out....He doesn't have it laterally like you need to make cuts out of the spread....You gotta have Mitchell back there as well! He was more dynamic to me this year of what I saw than Hale....Maybe a Shotgun Veer look like they ran in 2011 and run lots of option but if not stay in the WingT......All those guys are back up front and what was a big weakness this year SHOULD be a huge strength next year.....I never saw the young wing play so I can't comment on him...His last name is Fitz? Are they brothers? Personally I think 21 could see some action at Wing....He reminds me alot of a Ronnie Griffith/David Cagle/Parker type player....He should be involved as well...Pirates will be scary next year...Anyone thinking otherwise or in for a rude MERCY awakening! First I will say Grider does leave his guys in too long at times....Some years more than others but I do understand like this year u leave them in...Very young and green team you need them to get the most live action as they can....You dont get better sitting on sidelines and until the other team takes out their guys and says ok I've had enough let them play but with that being said.....Grundy,Whitwell,Sequatchie and every other team in the valley was much stronger in early 90's.......The Valley as a whole has never been better.....You didn't run it up cause the weaker teams you played still wasn't very weak and the ones you did like Tyner you put 60 plus on.....That is truth and that is all

Most I have spoken with feel that way. It could always be worse but def could've been better. Bad luck? Uncoachable kids? Who knows....2004 &2005 teams would've also been loaded but the kids flunked out and went down wrong path...Thats what I was getting at when people talk about 9,10,11,12 yr olds...They haven't had the choice to choose yet...Hopefully they keep them together and on right paths but its to early to tell. This past 7 is close to the 7 in 90's (93,94,95,96,97,98,99) but 90's played much harder competition 96&97 lost in 2&3rd rounds like 08,12...Won in 94,99 and I doubt anyone would disagree if it was like it is now like it is now 93,95,98 would've atleast made it with TC and BGA out of the way

SP has been the odds on favorite to win it all the last 6 years and have won it twice. I think this years team was close to 2010 just not as good on defense. 08,09,11 were all stronger in my opinion than 10 and lost. We aren't the Buffalo Bills but we aren't the Bulls either. I do not think we will ever see 7 years of talent like the last 6 plus next years team. MC will be improved next year but they are delusional if they think SP wont be overall stronger than this year. I'm not sure about the little league stuff. I hear great things but that's always been the case. Getting them to stay in school and stay together is the hard part. As for this past weekends game.......Gotta respect or when a coach always goes for the win....Unfortunate that it never works for SP

Pirates lost....Could they have won? Should they have won? Bad calls by refs? SP should be used to playing with the latter by now...Hargis even said in article in Saturday he appeared to have never gone down but it is what it is...Just part of high school football....They played a great game and just came up short..Next year the real TRAINTRACKING begins...Until then...Congrats and get ready!
