  1. Why do you need game film? It's not like you don't know anything about CAK - you've already played them once this year. This going on about the game film is ridiculous! Just watch your own film from earlier in the season when you played CAK.
  2. Starting 4th quarter - CAK - 48; Sweetwater - 7. it is on the radio on 106.1 in Knoxville (although hard to get some places) or online at http://community.loudcity.com/stations/wuc...ut-tn/tune_inrd
  3. This is all true. You all would croak if you could see how small most teacher/staff/coach salaries are at CAK. The "unlimited resources" do not apply to coach salaries. A few other clarifications: CAK can offer scholarship assistance, but if a student receives financial aid they can't play a varsity sport. Only D2 schools can do that. Since CAK plays in division 1, they can't offer "scholarships" to athletes. Not all of the parents or students think Gum is great. He has run off many good players in the past, the most recent being at least 3 or 4 seniors who could have made a huge difference in this year's season.
  4. And where is he playing next year?
  5. It is my understanding that seniors can't sign for a football scholarship until national signing day in February
  6. Can someone who knows compare South Greene to a team CAK has already played this year? Who would they compare to?
  7. * It appeared the reason the ball was given back to CAK was because a whistle blew while the ball was "squirting" out - therefore, the ball is dead and goes back to the team that possessed it. I think the whistle was blown too quickly and may have even been inadvertent, but it blew nonetheless. The only reason I can think that the refs changed the call is because one of them admitted that he blew the whistle. I can see why the Loudon fans/coaches/players were upset about it! *No, that sack probably shouldn't have been a personal foul. It was a great game - although CAK didn't play their best, the best team won Friday night. Loudon has a great team - very well-coached and looked like nearly-perfect execution. They seemed to never miss a beat even after Hawkins went out with his injury. Hope we can meet again in drier conditions! * It appeared the reason the ball was given back to CAK was because a whistle blew while the ball was "squirting" out - therefore, the ball is dead and goes back to the team that possessed it. 8. I don't know who is writing these posts, but I have never heard anyone associated with CAK have an attitude like this. CAK is regularly complimented on their sportsmanship and hospitality to visiting teams. Forgive the idiot who is writing these and know we are looking forward to a good game with a good Oliver Springs team who has our respect.
  9. I got one at the Borders by West Town Mall in Knoxville on Friday for $10.00
  10. BHS, You can't judge Harb's arm by what you saw at a camp last summer - he had spent his previous year (which was the ONLY year he had ever played h.s. football) backing Cunningham and had never played QB in his life except for a few plays when CAK was blowing someone out. See below: [/b]May 19, 2005 Oxford NIKE Camp: Top players by position -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greg Biggins StudentSportsFootball.com Recruiting Analyst Camp MVP Terry Grant Over 250 players from 15 states gathered on May 15th to learn and compete at the NIKE Camp in Oxford on the campus of the Ole Miss Rebels. Here is a look at the best-of-the-best at each position, based upon performance in position drills, one-on-ones, position coaches' feedback and testing performance. --OXFORD NIKE CAMP POSITION-BY-POSITION REVIEW-- QUARTERBACKS: Mitch Mustain (Springdale AR) 6-2.5, 190 lbs, 28.1 VJ, 4.22 shuttle Very good looking pocket passer and had arguably the best day of any quarterback we've seen on the Nike tour this year. Has good feet and vision and can make all the throws. Has plus arm strength and accuracy and should be considered among the nation's top three quarterback prospects. Earned Student Sports Junior All-American honors after throwing for 2,169 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushed for another 14 scores last season. Broke his arm in the state semi-finals but is now fully recovered. Has close to 30 scholarship offers and is open among Arkansas, Iowa, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Texas. Richard Harb (Christian Academy, Knoxville TN) 6-1, 188 lbs The lefty showed off a big arm and can really spin it. Was consistent all camp long and looks like a definite Div I signal caller. As a junior, threw for 2,208 and 22 touchdowns. Didn't have much of a buzz about him prior to the camp and should be considered among the biggest sleepers to emerge following his strong performance. Others who impressed: -Clay Jones (Bibb County, Centreville AL) - 6-1.5, 196 lbs., 4.84 40, 13 reps, 31.7 VJ, 4.75 shuttle, 65.25 SPARQ -Andrew Calatone (Captain Shreve, Shreveport LA) - 6-2.5, 217 lbs, 11 reps, 4.75 shuttle -James Patterson (Noxubee County, Macon MS) - 6-1.5, 217 lbs, 4.79 40, 8 reps, 30.2 VJ, 4.66 shuttle, 59.56 SPARQ

    Oxford NIKE Camp

You can go to studentsports.com for Nike camp results, but you have to be a member to get full results, I believe. It is a part of the same network with volquest.com.
  12. CAK also sent our softball team to state, plus some track and tennis players
  13. First of all, Coach Logan is right, novi will not go up against any good posts if the CAK players count their chickens beftore they hatch. I was told that CAK fans are worse than Catholics, is there anyone who can support that?
  14. I thought the refs were very good, much better than I expected. You just cannot beate Cosby in their gym letting them have open threes. They will hit them time and time again as they have proven for the last decade. This game on a neutral floor in blount county will be an outstanding matchup
  15. Should be a good game, Geist better keep Meyers from scoring 28 in the first half, again. If the warriors can keep him contained it will be a win for CAK
  16. Should be a dandy! Look for the seniors on both teams to show up
  17. QUOTE(TheChsnOne2223 @ Dec 14 2004 - 10:07 AM) What about Michael Hermosillo from Karns and Walt Jordan from CAK because I know if Jamie Hackler from Rockwood is on there we should be mentioned to because we are both better than this guy. What about the three juniors who START for CAK (unlike Jordan, who isn't a starter)?
  18. Any reason why there were no players from CAK? I know they weren't the best team in the region, but teams such as Sunbright and other teams with worse records had players on the team. Any insight?
