One word.....OAKLAND !

This is not good news. Security personel on the field were EXTREAMLY rude and demanding after the game denying access to the field even with a TSSAA field pass. This included families of players and coaches. Perhaps Nissan Stadium would be better.

For the love of Pete, someone from Maryville complaining about officiating AT home. If not for your homers calling the game Oakland could have been in a couple more final games. You got a butt kicking so man up and take it !

Go ahead, make fun, in your usual ARROGANT Maryville way. Funny how your last 2 beat downs came AWAY from home, one to the GOD of Maryville football . Karma is a b***h dressed in red, white and blue !

Just a few points I would like to make about the game last night. I now fully understand how it has been 19 years since a home playoff loss at Maryville. Now you folks may THINK your team is beyond reproach, but some help in a tight situation doesn't hurt either. Can you HONESTLY think that a team in a game such as last can commit only 2 penalties ? These officials were from the Athens area and they were I am sure in awe at what the normally see. As for the player in motion on the field goal, you can spew all the so called rules you wish, it was an ILLEGAL movement. Finally why was it deemed necessary to send a car containing 2 people to Oakland this week to film practice from the parking lot? A parent witnessed the vehicle with Blount county plates and alerted the staff. When they were about to be confronted, the left in a cloud of dust and gravel. This is the truth and it CAN be proven. This is no sour grapes or "whine" as you like to say. This is what you do when all else fails. I hate to see what kids have worked so hard for be taken from them by underhanded methods. So in closing, enjoy your trip next week and may you all have a long ride back to East Tennessee !

I think that the boys from Sequoyah have begin to learn what it takes to win.The improvement from last year has been obvious as well as the overall attitude of the players.In look for this bunch to be fired up and ready to go Friday night and expect to see a win against Kenny Chesney High.Our "Boys of Fall" are better than theirs!!

I know Coach White personally and it sounds to me that you might be one of those who were behind him not being around any longer, typical bleacher coach.Trust me, Lenoir City has MORE than it's share of folks like you, never put on a jock strap but have all the answers.In case you haven't noticed, Sequoyahs colors are red too! What is the talk going around about a NEW COACH after the loss to Loudon (again)? As for middle school championships turning to high school championships, that seems to only happens in Blount County doesn't it.Finally, turn on your spell check, you're making your English teacher un-happy. I agree with you.Lenoir City could have much better teams but they have too much ouside distractions in the form of moms and dads and bleacher coaches.Coach White wasn't good enough to coach there but was hired immediately by Maryville after leaving.That being said, the kids from Sequoyah have just a little different swagger about them now and Friday night just might be the night to add to that.I myself would rather see the panthers lose than eat when I'm hungry reguardless of who they play. I'll take the Chiefs 20-14. GO BIG RED!
