Great game Canes. Playoff games are hard to win no matter who you play. Page played very hard and have some really good players. #19 and #6 took over the running game from Logan Jackson and did very well. You could tell they were a little nervous at first but as the game went on gained confidence. The defense was great. They only gave up one TD. The other score was a 90 yrd fumble return. 55 on defense with 2 sacks. Page has good defensive backs. #81 and #10 really played well. Good luck to Page next year. Now lets go to Giles and bring home a win

Good luck to the Canes. We will miss # 18 . He is not only a great RB but a huge leader on the team. His replacements have lots of talent and can break a run on almost any play. Defense has been really tough against the run .The key is keeping Page big gun Qb from throwing deep down the middle. Weather will be great and hope the game is to. Nobody hurt and no fights. Safe travel for Page. Canes defend their home field .

Good luck on the mri. This kid has worked so hard and has overcome injuries before. He is as tough as they come. Hurricane nation is behind you.

I hope the Canes learned their lesson from last year.Never under estimate your opponent lest you go home . They remember the scrimmage before the season and have seen the film from this year. Canes were more physical in the scrimmage . They have blown teams out in the first half of games but their emotion was at its highest against Signal, and that emotion has not been matched the rest of the year. They have taken on a[ take care of your business] emotion. New season and health of the team is good. Gatewood will have them ready. Weather should be good. Obviously I like the Canes in this one

24-6 canes final. Hard fought game. #7 for red bank was a one man show . He kept them in the game and lions defense shut down the run better than anyone all year. Goal line stand by the canes in the fourth put it away. Next week Howard

East Hamilton will be moving to 5a next year . This could be the last meeting between these teams for a long time. I like the Canes in this one , to many horses for the Lions to stop. Canes District Champs.

Hixson can not sneak up on anyone the rest of the year. Everyone know they play the whole game and never give up. Just ask Red Bank and Marion Co. Those games had some heroic efforts by the cats in the fourth qtr. It also make you ask why they can't play like that the other three qtrs. Now that they have beaten Tyner I bet their confidence is through the roof. ( bring on Alabama ). I am glad they are having such a good year and a inspiring coach ......... However..... I think they are running up against a team that will bring them down a lot like Dekalb did. Everyone knows EH will run the ball right at you until you can stop it. Their big line will lean on you all night and by the time 4th qtr comes around your probably out of gas. So if EH is way up in the 4th I don't see a miracle comeback. Eh should physically win the field and go on and take the win. stay healthy everybody . Go Canes

EH has had this game circled along with Signal ,Oolt, BC, all summer. I know they all want to re establish the king of the district. { or Walls of the city }. Little payback time. Seniors on this team had better realize more students and size does not overcome heart and Brainerd had that last year. Always hard to beat a team twice in the same year, and EH has a problem with becoming overconfident when they should simply take care of business. Remember Lancaster Christian few years ago? Brainerd last year, Ooltewah already this year. EH needs to watch last years playoff game and interviews for even more motivation. Need a big crowd Cane Nation ! I think the EH defense shuts down Brainerd.

Could not agree more with you chattacane. EH should be in good shape being competetive in 5a for the next several years. Winning in high school football is not everything . Gate , Sponsors , parents , school support are the keys to any traditional successful program. Bradley last night was a good example, Huge crowd , big band, radio , and great facilities. Play them anytime . Also I am proud of the Cane nation for the way they travel. I know Bradley was glad to see those visitors stands full.

Great Win Canes. What a difference a year makes, last year was 42 -12 Bradley {i think } now this year 41-7 Canes. Who would have thought that score. Canes won every phase of the game. I thought the defense really stepped up and bottled up copeland and the gang. 4 interceptions . and Bradley only had 31 yards on the ground. I still think this is the Canes biggest win to date. Bradley is a good team with a good coaching staff. They will win many more in their 6a district they just ran into a Canes team that is hitting on all cylinders. Now get ready for Brainerd

Both Teams have size speed and talent. Both teams have a tough loss on their heads where they did not play to their potential. Both have big lines and great running backs. Bradley wiped out EH last year and should be the favorite this year. EH. has to come out of the gate like they did against Signal . Keep momentum as long as they can. I think if Bradley gets up early with a huge home crowd they could roll. Obviously stopping Bradleys run and then containing the scramble of the QB is the defensive goal. Stopping EH. run has not happened this year so Bradleys defense will crowd the box. Will be the biggest victory for EH history with the win. This one will be fun. Homer pick : EH 25 BC 21

One of the best high school games you will see. Huge crowd ,great rivalry and great game. This was a much better game than last years 41-12 blow out. Congrats to the Owls on the win. The two minute drive all the way down the field was proof of how bad you wanted the win. Congrats to E.H for a great come back effort. It also showed how bad you wanted the game. T. J. Davis had a great performance best of his career. E.H. Logan Jackson was also a MVP 249 yards. Only thing that gets me on this board and in the paper was how did EH become the big favorite for the game? Just by them killing Signal the week before ? Owls killed Brainerd 32-0. Last years blow out and Owls being a 5a school should have made them the favorite . Right? E.H team was over confident and the Owls were mad for lack of respect. So from the score and how the game was played has E.H. gotten much better from last year or has Owls gotten worse? I think both teams are very good and the old if they played ten times it would go 5-5. Never let the paper tell you how good or bad you are. Play every game like its you last. Ows have been here before so they should act like it, right now you sound like you just upset the super bowl champs. Both teams win state is what I am for!!!!

This one will be fun. I still thinl the Owls look at Eh as little brother. No matter what EH did to Signal the Owls think they can easily win. Owls have never played Signal so they do not respect EH victory. What they do remember is last years beat down . I am sure EH does to and that should be plenty of motivation. Revenge is on their mind. Both teams are talented and I can not give the edge to Owls speed or the power and physical play of EH. Think its a classic [ who wants it more.] Friend vs Friend Backyard brawl. Braggin rights for the neighborhood.

Canes need to come back down to earth and get to work. Signal game was their night. I do not think things will go that easy this week . However the Canes owe the Owls a beating for last years game. Owls speed vs Canes power. Turnovers and sacks killed the Canes last year . Canes should win this one.

Good luck to Signal friday. According to the article in the Chattanoogan Phillips and Turnage can win the game by themselves. I am all for promoting kids and getting publicity for their talents, but the timing of this article is about as bad as it gets. Chattanoogan gave East Ham. no chance to beat Signal. Now they are not giving Tyner any chance. My point is Signal needs to buckle it up and play harder this friday than they did last friday. Stop reading how great you are and show how great you are on the field,or you will be 0-2

The Canes have all the talent and no more excuses. They need to bring the swagger and take care of business. They won the disrict last year and got over confident and lost to Brainerd in the first round. A team they had already beaten. They still need to learn how to win and move on to the next goal. Winning is still not a habit, it is still new. Give Signal credit for owning the Canes. If the Canes pull off a win against Signal this year they should Roll over the rest. Owls included.

Owls win 71-70. They win the regular season championship and a bye in the first round of tourney. Mcminn played out of their mind. If they play like that in the tourn. they will be a tough out. Owls still are the class of the district. They need to step up more on defense and run their offense through #3 setting up on the free throw line. District has more talent in it this year than I can remember.

Congrats to the kids for their football skills.The recognition is well deserved. My only question is with all the awards now and all star games who makes these decisions? Some kids made best of preps and did not make all district? Some kids did not make all star game and were all-STATE? Four kids all state on one team and many an entire district has zero? Some teams have two or three stars of some kind and their record on the field was a loosing one? Just scratching my head on a few of these.. Wish the coaches could vote on officals good and bad...that would be interesting.

Owls coming off a hard fought loss the night before to Tyner. Its hard to get up for a mid afternoon game against a ND.team. I think if Owls played ND. Wednesday night They would have beaten them by many more. The problem is fatigue in the fourth quarter . In both of their losses they were leading going into the fourth quarter and seemed to run out of gas. They need to rotate more players at least in the first half to keep players fresh. Tyner played 10 players in the game and just kept coming.
