  1. Coming off a huge road win at Station Camp, can the Blue Devils continue their perfect road record at Greenbrier? The stakes are higher this week with it being a district game as WH tries to continue its dominance in one of the state's oldest rivalries. It's going to be a defensive battle that I give White House the edge in 17-10. Go Big Blue!!!
  2. Huge win in BDP land!! White House made the plays when they had to to pull out the win. West is a playmaker in the making if you ask me, eers...! Station Camp, I'll admit, outplayed WH but we did enough to go to 3-0. That 8-2 record is within reach now for a WAY down football team. Stay in the bleachers Coach or send the resume to Ptown!
  3. All emotion, no thought...I'd like to say you're wrong with your statement, at least with me. I've been a WH fan for a long time now and I like to stay realistic about everything. I agree with you that this isn't the best WH team that Porter has put on the field. And yes, they don't have any Brian Jones' or Jon Finch's or even a Kyle Levering. I must say the McEwen is a playmaker for WH. He can catch anything and isn't afraid to hit you, just ask the DB from Goodpasture. McEwen laid him out last season! White House will have a winnning season and will make some noise in the playoffs. I must ask though...have you ever considered going into coaching?? You seem to be interested in high school football so maybe it's a career opportunity for you. Or maybe you think you can coach but you're better off in the bleachers thinking you're a coach. I always love the hundreds of coaches in the stands just trying to live out their dream. So eers, I think there maybe an opening at Portland next year with your name all over it. Go get it boy!!
  4. What the heck is a tread??? Maybe you mean a thread...And about Coach Aric, why else would he go to Portland to be a assistant on an 0-10 team. He knows it's his next head coaching job if he does well as an assistant. He's been head coach before and like I've heard here, no one wants the Portland job, so Gideon will turn to an assistant to take the helm.
  5. cough, cough 0-10 last year.
  6. The attitude is changing...not sure I agree. Coach Bever and Co. at least won 5 ball games in three years. I don't see how starting 0-13 and a very possible second straight 0-10 year can change an attitude for the better. Another Sanders 0-10 means Coach Aric will be at the helm next year. It's harsh talk but true!
  7. Well, I'm gonna need you to define WAY down?? White House has a very tough schedule but hasn't missed the playoffs since 91. They sit at 2-0 with the big one this week. It is big in that with the win, they could go 3-0 and it could propel them to a 8 win season. Ok, Goodpasture and Beech are better teams at this point so that could be two losses. We should be able to get Greenbrier, Sycamore, Smith Co, Springfield and Macon Co so even if we lose to Camp, we still finish 7-3. Yes, Springfield is undefeated but I like our chances based on our coaching staff. If we lose at Springfield, that gives us 3 loses if we beat Camp. Last year White House went 6-4 and got killed by Whites Creek in the first round to finish 6-5 so what was last year, WAY, WAY down?? Just because you don't care for a team or don't like them because of some unknown reason to me, that doesn't mean you have to call a possible winning season a down year! Yes, I'm a White House fan so I'm on their side but I also like for people to explain their posts. Look forward to your response. A 7-3 or 6-4 seaspn is considered a down year in WH but a "WAY" down year to me is a losing season or missing the playoffs. At this point, I like our chances of both a winning season and a playoff berth. With what I saw in the August scrimmages from the Blue Devils, those two accomplishments aren't a WAY down year at all. Hope it's a good game Friday.
  8. White House gets to hit the road to play in the Homecoming for the Bison. On paper, I give the edge to Camp but this White House team is buying in to Coach Porter's philsophy and off to a good start. This is a big non-district game for both as they both compete in tough districts of their own. I'm saying White House in the upset, 21-10.
  9. The sad thing is that Portland is headed to another 0-10 record this season!! But maybe he'll at least out coach them though.
  10. I was blown away today while reading the Portland Leader at lunch. I was reading about the White House 21-7 win over Portland last Friday. Coach Gary Sanders, head coach for Portland, says that, "they (Portland) outplayed and outcoached White House." If my career record at Portland was 0-12, I wouldn't be saying that I "outcoached" anyone!! Very unprofessional.....
  11. I would like to think that most would want to root for their own county. I wouldn't be upset at all if Gallatin got the W. It would make White House look a little better if Gallatin did win. I know MJ is always ready to play and their defense looked great against McGavock.
  12. MJ is just that good. Their coaching staff will have the Golden Bears ready for Friday. MJ will pull off the road upset 28-24!
  13. Andy James is a beast. I'm sure Coach Grantham will look to the TE Hot route down the hashes for James. Yes, White House may be down from recent years but the coaching staff always finds a way to get the most out of their teams. I find it hard to believe White House won't be heading into week 3 2-0. I'm going with White House 28-10. With their extremely tough schedule, BDP needs to win the games they should.
