  1. WH has to play much, much better than they did Thursday night. WH showed no effort throughout but still had chances to win. Macon is gonna line up and run it right at us! BDP needs to toughen up, man up, and wake up if they wanna give themselves a chance Friday and the rest of the way. The winner stays alive for a wild card; the loser can play for a .500 record and their own pride but will be at home week 11. WH has the players to make it happen but do they have the heart..... White House 24 Macon County 21
  2. Sticking with my prediction of 28-7 WH. I know it's a short week but we'll be ready!! White House needs this win worse than Smith County does. Blue Devil offense will be too strong.
  3. Smith County comes in with the better record but really hasn't played anyone like BDP. I see White House having a breakout game and moving above 500. After three tough losses, WH rolls, 28-7.
  4. Eers, what is wrong with looking ahead to the future?!?! I'm sure you do the samething with the Ptown job. Saw you have had a lot to say in the Portland Panther Football thread. You seem very knowledgeable in the area of Panther football.
  5. One question....why in the world would you post this question on your team website?? Secondly, why has the coaching staff not ordered it to be taken off?? Very disturbing if you ask me.
  6. After back to back losses, White House returns to district action as the Cougars visit BDP country. With a loss, White House will fall to at least third place in the district and their playoff chances will take a severe hit. The Big Blue will have the advantage of being at home but with Fall Break beginning Thursday for Sumner County, their schedule will be off and it could effect their play. However, White House will pull it all together this week and take care of the ball, which they haven't done the past two weeks, and win a huge game, 21-14.
  7. I think eers is beginning to picture himself on the sidelines in blue and white as a WH assistant coach. He puts on the act as if he hates the Big Blue but deep down inside he loves em!! Remember though, he may have a better shot at Portland...
  8. I hope the Blue Devils aren't still worried about the loss to Greenbrier like the people on this thread are!! If that's the case, it'll be a long night tomorrow night. I'm diehard BDP but I've had to let last Friday's loss go and get ready for Beech. I won't be easy. Homecoming games are never fun for the coaches because of all the off the field distractions throughout the week. Bottom line, WH needs to get better and get ready for a huge district game next week against Goodpasture. As for Greenbrier, I hope we meet again...what an atmoshpere that will be!!
  9. The loss to Greenbrier makes it even more difficult for WH to make the playoffs. However, I still like our chances. I think playing Beech this week will help us get ready for a real good Goodpasture team next week. I also believe that Greenbrier will slip up in the district somewhere along the way against Goodpasture and another team. WH spotted them 13 early points within the first 4 minutes of the game so that certainly didn't help WH. The Blue Devils D will certainly be tested this week. Beech has some big backs and a huge O line. I'm still sticking with my prediction 28-17 Beech.
  10. 42-10?? Have you seen WH play this year? Well, that's a dumb question because I'm sure you got film on them and you're probably studying it as I type. Beech is a great ball team but WH has a pretty good defense and won't allow 42 points.
  11. I am huge WH fan but Beech is too strong, 28-17. Check out the WH/Beech thread in 3A/4A section.
  12. It's Homecoming in BDP country. White House can't feel bad and down after the tough loss at Greenbrier. If WH plays feeling sorry for themselves, it could be over early. Beech is a veteran team and is for real. White House played a great game at Beech last year but this isn't the same WH team. I think White House will keep it close but our inexperience will eventually catch up and take over. I'm saying Beech 28-17. At the same time, White House and Beech always play each other close. I wouldn't be surprised to see it finish closer.
  13. Geeze, you aren't kidding. I've seen a lot of WH games and this has to one of the toughest losses in awhile. Greenbrier made the plays when they had to and won the game. Number 8 for the Bobcats was a player...it was great to see the GB #8 vs. WH #8. I'm not one to blame the refs for a loss so I'm staying away from that. The two personal fouls on the last drive killed WH, just as they would any team, and WH couldn't recover. WH did well to make the comeback from being down early, showed heart, but couldn't pull it out. No excuses here. WH has two very, very tough games the next two weeks. As bad as it hurts, we are looking at 3-3. Anyways, Go Big Blue!! Congrats Bobcats.
  14. I hope you aren't calling me Murphy!! Maybe you are talking about eers...he seems to be the Sumner County Murphy Fair.
  15. Gameday is here folks. White House has a chance to take a big step towards the playoffs with a big district win tonight! To start 4-0 would be a huge confidence booster with Beech and Goodpasture coming up. BDP will reign in Greenbrier...Go Big Blue!!
  16. BallFan44, that's what I like to hear!! I was beginning to think that I was the only one on here that really cared about BDP. I'm so glad to see that someone else thinks that eers is totally outta place with his comments on White House! Go Big Blue. Let's run that record to 4-0 these week.
  17. Atta boy eers....It's about time you got on the BDP train. Possibly a volunteer assistant down the road in BDP land???
  18. Running my gums...now that's a new one!! I don't really see it as "running my gums" so much as just trying to state what I believe and how I feel about the topic. I do agree, however, we do have some fans that all they are good at is being mouthy and such but I don't see that being the case here. White House got a big win in which many didn't give them a chance. I personally did and had to try to convince many why I did, with you being on of them. Thanks for making it a great week on CoachT! It's people like you that make me enjoy doing what I do. Keep up the good work.
  19. Coming off a huge road win at Station Camp, can the Blue Devils continue their perfect road record at Greenbrier? The stakes are higher this week with it being a district game as WH tries to continue its dominance in one of the state's oldest rivalries. It's going to be a defensive battle that I give White House the edge in 17-10. Go Big Blue!!!
  20. Huge win in BDP land!! White House made the plays when they had to to pull out the win. West is a playmaker in the making if you ask me, eers...! Station Camp, I'll admit, outplayed WH but we did enough to go to 3-0. That 8-2 record is within reach now for a WAY down football team. Stay in the bleachers Coach or send the resume to Ptown!
  21. All emotion, no thought...I'd like to say you're wrong with your statement, at least with me. I've been a WH fan for a long time now and I like to stay realistic about everything. I agree with you that this isn't the best WH team that Porter has put on the field. And yes, they don't have any Brian Jones' or Jon Finch's or even a Kyle Levering. I must say the McEwen is a playmaker for WH. He can catch anything and isn't afraid to hit you, just ask the DB from Goodpasture. McEwen laid him out last season! White House will have a winnning season and will make some noise in the playoffs. I must ask though...have you ever considered going into coaching?? You seem to be interested in high school football so maybe it's a career opportunity for you. Or maybe you think you can coach but you're better off in the bleachers thinking you're a coach. I always love the hundreds of coaches in the stands just trying to live out their dream. So eers, I think there maybe an opening at Portland next year with your name all over it. Go get it boy!!
  22. What the heck is a tread??? Maybe you mean a thread...And about Coach Aric, why else would he go to Portland to be a assistant on an 0-10 team. He knows it's his next head coaching job if he does well as an assistant. He's been head coach before and like I've heard here, no one wants the Portland job, so Gideon will turn to an assistant to take the helm.
  23. cough, cough 0-10 last year.
  24. The attitude is changing...not sure I agree. Coach Bever and Co. at least won 5 ball games in three years. I don't see how starting 0-13 and a very possible second straight 0-10 year can change an attitude for the better. Another Sanders 0-10 means Coach Aric will be at the helm next year. It's harsh talk but true!
  25. Well, I'm gonna need you to define WAY down?? White House has a very tough schedule but hasn't missed the playoffs since 91. They sit at 2-0 with the big one this week. It is big in that with the win, they could go 3-0 and it could propel them to a 8 win season. Ok, Goodpasture and Beech are better teams at this point so that could be two losses. We should be able to get Greenbrier, Sycamore, Smith Co, Springfield and Macon Co so even if we lose to Camp, we still finish 7-3. Yes, Springfield is undefeated but I like our chances based on our coaching staff. If we lose at Springfield, that gives us 3 loses if we beat Camp. Last year White House went 6-4 and got killed by Whites Creek in the first round to finish 6-5 so what was last year, WAY, WAY down?? Just because you don't care for a team or don't like them because of some unknown reason to me, that doesn't mean you have to call a possible winning season a down year! Yes, I'm a White House fan so I'm on their side but I also like for people to explain their posts. Look forward to your response. A 7-3 or 6-4 seaspn is considered a down year in WH but a "WAY" down year to me is a losing season or missing the playoffs. At this point, I like our chances of both a winning season and a playoff berth. With what I saw in the August scrimmages from the Blue Devils, those two accomplishments aren't a WAY down year at all. Hope it's a good game Friday.
