I feel Blackman has the best chance to beat Maryville. They could not stop Bryson last year and I do not think they can stop Mathers. That is what it is going to take to beat Maryville clock control smash em out football. Plus if they can pass like they did on Riverdale in the first game just a plus, spread em out for Mathers. Also it is going to take a defense that covers the pass well. I SAY GO BLAZE

YOU GUYS GET ME You think it is funny to teach these young men that it is alright to break the rules to have an advantage? And yes that is what was taught! FRANKLIN's Coach knows the rules! Did we not already play a double over time game this year? Let me tell you what. I got there real early Friday and we walked around the school, I was impressed with your school. But this just proved to me you can not judge a book by its cover!!!! This HA! HA! HA! is not only bad show of class but also immaturity. Is this what you Franklin fans want to be known for? You asked for the rules and once they are posted, laugh!!!! Knowing that the rules were not followed!!!! I would hope and pray no adult would teach my kids this lesson in life!!!!

It will not let me print, copy or link it but here it is. Winner of the toss chooses offense or defense and the loser chooses the side of field. Before the second overtime the "loser" of the coin toss before the 1st ot then chooses offense or defense so forth and so on. Only one toss, and the roles reverse each period. Winner of the toss gets the O or D choice in odd numbered overtimes and the loser of the toss gets the choice in even numbered periods.

It is clear you guys do not know your high school football, and if somebody told you that, then they do not know their football!!!! No sore losser here, just should of had a chance to play by the rules!!!! Do you not think that call changed the game. You like that he gave his opinion (I like that you point out the correct rules the officals followed) maybe, but not the CORRECT RULES!!!!

Well there is no defer call in the overtime toss. Winner chooses offense Defense or end of field. And the announcer clearly stated Franklin won the toss and has elected to go on defense. Think you can not have a deferred call because there may not be a second overtime. They would not get their choice in both overtimes no matter what!

I am sure your coach would of been upset to if he would of lost due to officials that did not know the rules! and yes there was interference. You can not run over the receiver going for the ball! DUHHHHH

I agree 100%! It is sad when the fans know more about the rules then the officials. My point TSSAA could remove these officials from the playoffs. Not like all the fans were not yelling at the officials, telling them and like we do not know the rules, our 5th overtime game of the year. Yes, Franklin played a great game and congrats to them on the win but to loose because the rules were not followed is crazy. Not to say we would of won had the rules been followed but the kids did deserve the chance to finish the game with a correct chance by the rules. I am sure the Franklin coach knew the rules surely the fans do not know more then the coaches, and to put winning above teaching the young men to do the right thing is a tastless show of class. SORRY just how I feel, I am sure that is why not many people from Smyrna have come on here and congratulated Franklin we feel cheated at least to have played by the rules. Yes Frankilin sent their defense on the field to start the second overtime and this is when the Smyrna coaches and fans became upset. As a matter of fact I think we played then a double overtime game in the first meeting so yes they knew the rules!!!! My understanding these officials were from the Memphis area!!!! Like I said CONGRATS TO FRANKLIN your QB played a GREAT GAME!!!!

Well you have several games you can schedule each year. Riverdale went to St. Xavier (KY) and Smyrna played Olive Branch, MS this year so if you want some get some!!!!

GAME DAY LETS GO Dawgs But do remember this is not the same team we faced in the first game! They have improved, you know they scored a whole 3 points in thieir loss to Independence so we better watch out for that powerful offense! And Siegel only scored 28 on Independence.

Well still waiting how many 6A teams did ya play this year? They have 1 6A state championship out of the 2 that have been played and NO 5A state championships get that NONE!!!!And the one they won 2010 was because Smyrna's center rolled the ball back to the holder with 1 minute left in the game for a 14 yard go ahead field goal. Yes they won not dominated at all like you all think. Yes there is no dought, Maryville has a good football program but it is not as dominating as you make it out. I made no excuses last year when they beat Smyrna I congratulated them and asked them to grill my crow and will do the same this year if they win!!!!

It would be nice to see Maryville play a D7 schedule all year!!!! Not going to pick any winners but it would be very interesting to say the lest!!!! How many 6A teams did you guys play during the regular season? Just asking!
