  1. na na na na, na na na na, nay hay hay, GOOD-BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I know what you did last summer!

  3. I think that farragut has the better team on paper but McMinn does seem to always play them tough. In the end though, i still pick farragut by 17
  4. Central 20 Loudon 17 Go Chargers!!!!
  5. I'm afraid that this same stuff goes on everywhere Canadian. Just come back home, central needs faculty coaches!
  6. I understand what you are trying to say, but I don't think combining the two leagues is as easy in football. Actually they don't really combine fully in other sports. Each town still has their own rec league basketball and baseball programs. They do have the McMinn Fire for basketball and the Knights baseball but these are chosen teams. It would be great for the junior teams from both towns to combine but it is nearly impossible to do so. I believe the SETAC and the Sequoyah conferences both require that a program field 4 teams in order to participate in their conference. But let's say they change their rules, there is no such thing as AAU football where you can just throw a team together and play a schedule. All other junior high teams in our extended area from chattanooga to knoxville are actual junior high/middle school teams where they have paid coaches that are actual teachers just like it is in high school. To join their league, you have to be a part of the TMSAA (the TSSAA of middle schools) in order to compete. Yes it is best if the juniors could ever combine but unless our school system changes our k-8 schools, then it probably is not likely that it will ever happen.
  7. I believe this is one of the reasons that Derrick left.
  8. Just as I thought the refs couldn't get any worse, I saw that Garren (local ref from Cleveland who shaves his legs) was reffing the game after ours!
  9. Englewood High School- Mascot: Rams Colors: Orange & White Etowah High School- Mascot: Pile Drivers Colors: Red & White ( I believe) These schools merged to make McMinn Central High School in the late 60's
  10. Our district 5-AA can't compete with you guys (exception of Polk) but try the AAA district in our area: McMinn County, Cleveland, Walker Valley, Soddy-Daisy, Rhea County, Ooltewah
  11. Who did they schedule? Last I heard, it was still up in the air.

  13. Wow! what a 1st round game. This seems like a quarterfinal matchup Polk is more physical and Tyner is more athletic. The deciding factor is the discipline and the heart and desire that Polk brings. Polk by 14 And I'll say it 1st...Polk beats CAK next week too!
  14. Wow with this supposedly being a hated rivalry, I would think this thread would be multiple pages. I think McMinn is much better than their record shows and will finally put a game together and upset the overrated bears. McMinn 24 Bradley 21
