  1. No BS here. just stating some simple truths. And I am going to go C'mon man to the blue colored glasses too LOLOL I know you wear them
  2. I like Scott, I have been in the press box beside him and saw how hard he works to do the stats, and then analyze the plays and he does it well. His refusal of say the name of Bradley or the Bears is a bit comical and I just laugh at his ways of describing "that team across town". But he does whine excessively even when it is clearly a correct call. Were they questionable calls made? yes. Were there calls missed? yes. I work hard at not letting my allegiance to interfere with what I say about the game. I saw things that should have been called not and things called that shouldn't. But let's get by that, and recognize one thing about that game last night. A TREMENDOUS effort by both entire teams. All the players last night laid it on the line and played a game that will be talked about for a long time.
  3. Cleveland has always had great athletes. But the interior line play has been abysmal for several years. Coach Wheeler has gotten that turned around and they played the best game I have seen from Cleveland in some time. Boyd was a load all night. I don't see Cleveland losing again this season, unless they just mess up.
  4. Yeah he got the ball in. I was right there, but it was close.
  5. Bradley was out played and out coached in the first half and Coach Floyd admitted so on the post game radio interview. I told those sitting around me, after Cleveland scored to end the half that if they come back out and scored it was over. The Bradley team didn't fold their tents and played hard, to get the comeback.
  6. Well we put that idea to bed. Although I was beginning to think it was going to a close wild ride.
  7. Like Cleveland's announcer has never said anything that could not be annoying to a visiting team, and we won't even discuss Scott on the radio broadcast lolol
  8. Hope the Maryville faithful have a safe trip down and home. I also think we will be locked into 3rd place because we did not take care of business against an Ooltewah team we had on the ropes and should have beat, even without Tray Curry in the lineup. Too many mistakes on our part, and giving credit where credit is due the Ooltewah QB played a great game. Quinn got stuffed no matter what PA wants to declare. That said I know our boys will go out and play hard, and see if we can pull off the upset of the year, at least in our District, if not the state. I would suggest us to be at least a 28 point underdog, but we don't play the games on paper. Our biggest issue has been playing 4 full quarters. If we do, I think we can at least put a fight.
  9. Stadium BBQ now has two locations. One in the Bradley Square Mall that opened early summer and the other on Keith Street going to Bear Stadium if you come down I-75. If you come down 411, and cut over on US64 the one on the south end of town is only about a block north of the intersection where you turn south to get to the school.
  10. Going to be a TALL order for that Cagle Man to beat up on the Cummings Man, but it can be done. That Cummings man has lot's of athletes and speed to get the job done for him.
  11. The old 'what have you done for me lately?' mentalilty…. But the Bears had better not take WB lightly.
  12. Have to agree with that. He does a good job there.
  13. I peek onto the Boards and what do I find? 5 pages of posts about Bradley and Heritage... And not one even mentions the Bradley Bears. While I do think that there will be a running clock in the second half and Coach Floyd will pretty much play everyone, the game still has to be played, and you never know how that ball will bounce. Go Bears (had to say something about Bradley to give lip service to the title)
  14. Never ever take anything for granted in Athens, except for lot's of flags.
  15. Bradley played 4 Quarters for the first time this season... Big difference in production. Standifer 21 of 25 for over 350 yards, mostly long throws, and the Bears put up 523 yard and held SD to a total of 166. (only 23 yards of total offense in the 2nd half) 3rd Quarter was marred by an ugly penalty situation, which I will give kudos to the refs for taking the time to get it right and explain it all to the coaches.
  16. Considering what happened to Cleveland in 2016 Cummings should get a bye on that season
  17. I presume, (since I don't know what the ref's think sometimes or what they are told the interpretation should be on anything) that is was a violation of celebration rules. Frankly, from what I have seen over the years, you CANNOT do ANYTHING to celebrate, UNLESS you are in a group of your team mates. Anything else other than running back to your huddle like you did nothing good is a penalty. Frankly I am not a fan of how celebration rules are handled, because if you do something great, through talent or effort one should be able to be excited when one makes a great play. In this case I think the ruling was he drew attention to himself. I actually disagree with the ruling as it was made but I have no control over that, but then any officials on here would tell me I don't know what I am talking about. :)
  18. Well Bears get the win, by a handy 41-2 score. First off, the Bears did not make the mistakes they made last week. They controlled the game, and executed much better. Still it's a inexperienced team for the most part, even tho they have performed well at times. Still too many little things... missed tackles, assignments, blocks not made as they should be. those little things cause you trouble against good teams. Standifer played well at QB, running the offense, hitting his receivers and picking his spots to run. Impressed with McCleary running the ball. Shows patience and seems to have good vision, and what I really like is that once he spies a hole, he hits it and goes. 140 yard rushing and 1 TD last night made for a productive evening for him. IF the OL keeps getting better this will be a huge part of the game this year. Saylor Clark and Trey Curry showed flashes of what could be a twin headache for opposing teams in time. At time the defense showed some mettle, sometimes they show the inexperience of needing game time. This unit could be very good, but it's not there yet. Both weeks they bowed their heads and got stops when it counted and I like that.
  19. I am happy with the way our defense has played thus far. lot's of new kids and been pretty solid. That saidm Sincere Quinn is very good and if the Owl Line does it's job it could be a long night.
  20. I am watching but doing most of my talking on WOOP's Good Sports
  21. Don't know DaBears1976, but glad he is a poster and a great Bear Fan. But I knew the Original DaBears sitting with him at games for 40 years. Sadly we sat together in Maryville last fall for the last time. While he didn't frequent the football boards as much in recent years, he was a great Bradley fan, and supporter. No matter the situation, we had a great time following our Bears wherever the schedule led.
  22. Maryville fans rooting for the Bears? Now I know why the world shifted Friday night 4 Starters returning for the Bears, and a whole new OL. Knew this would be a questionable game to start with, but we really helped Farragut with the turnover bug. That said at times the Bears looked good with so many new faces in new roles. Actually was a bit encouraged by the overall play despite the end result. Sometimes you just gotta shrug and say ok, forget that one, and let's move on.
