Game is televised here locally on the Knoxville CBS station in HD. They actually spoke with ESPN about covering the game, which seemed to be a strong possibility in the near future...according to GQ himself (and Alcoa AD) today at Rotary club. Well, I hate your pulling for the F5, as this ole Milan boy is now living in Maryville and is a Rebel! (By the way, Alcoa is good again this year, but not as stacked as last year...the Purple Pride needs to step it up and end the gold ball streak at 7!!)

I'll second that...the boys looked very sharp! I was expecting it to be a little closer, but we dominated the entire game. The future is very bright indeed!

Heard Alcoa will be on the visitors side for this game...is this correct? If so, I guess that may help a little with the seating situation on the home side.

just got back from the carson-newman fca middle school 7-on-7's...blount county represented well! 12 teams competed...8 varsity (A) teams and 4 junior varsity B teams. Overall placement: 1st - Maryville A 2nd - Alcoa A 3rd - Maryville B (1st among jv teams) Congrats to all the boys! Even better than that...my son said almost 1/2 the Maryville kids committed or rededicated their lives to Christ last night!

STARS - Are we working on bringing him in for the Foothills Fall Festival this year!?!

You may be right. Until someone knocks off the Tornadoes, it's theirs to lose again this fall. I'm hoping there is a chink in the armor this fall...as they will lose some studs to graduation. Just not sure it's enough, as the young 'uns got a lot of game experience in all those blowouts they had this past season. Does the cycle continue...or does the tide turn? Here's to hoping the tide turns west in '11...at least in 3A.

I sure hope so...I'm ready to see the Purple Pride win it all again. It's been way too long!
