  1. Glass houses friend. Glass houses.....
  2. Pay him no attention Sparty!! The ol' boy is just getting it all stirred up for the playoffs. He knows the record just like do. Can't wait!
  3. Kind beyond words and thanks. The Spartans left it all on the field for sure. I think my jaw is still somewhere in the stands after watching Robinette and Prevo just do their thing all night long!
  4. Another one is Springfield High. Last time I checked they played at their old field which is now the Middle School.
  5. Zion Christian Academy comes to mind.
  6. I post the below out of complete respect for The Big Red. Your athletic program is beyond compare. Your constant contribution to big time Division 1 football programs is very, very impressive. I implied nothing what you have clearly inferred. I am correct as to from where we start. And that is at the sole judgement of the TSSAA. After that, a realistic assessment of our position size and depth must be taken into consideration. It makes for difficult football if you play every week teams that dwarf you in both categories. I guess Sugar Ray Leonard (welter weight boxing champion) could have boxed Muhammad Ali or Big John Tate, but does that make SRL less of a champion? Again, nothing but respect for MBA. I have too many friends and kinfolk from there to consider otherwise. If I lived in Nashville, that would be the school of choice.
  7. I hate that for DCA. I have read that this board for some time. Don't forget about playoffs. Webb plays Division 1 quality athletes that time of the year.
  8. They can play anybody for three quarters (too bad the game as the extra 12 minutes!). Depth is the issue for the Spartans particularly at very key positions. There is one boy (who says the Maryville v Alcoa game is the finest game he has ever seen) who played 46 minutes in a typical 48 minute game. Well condition? You bet. A machine? No way. Such is the case across the board for many Spartans. And size? That is another thing..... See you in Murhvul RebelRon. I hope this inaugural game has many more to come!
  9. May I suggest Webb School of Knoxville? 44 wins; 14 losses; three state championships (2006,2010,2011), one perfect season, average scoring differential the last two years of 4:1 and 5:1 (approx). I am very much aware of the classification issue (2006-2009 was a different the "larger school league"); unfortunately Webb has no input on classification. It would be interesting if all of the listed teams could play in a "super classification" if that were an option. And for what its worth, the Spartans are stepping into a lions den with Maryville and Ensworth as their first two games in 2011.
  10. And Aaron Blance is the Prextra Sophomore of the Year! http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2011/jan/18/no-headline---011911pxsophomore/
  11. Predictions confirmed: http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2011/jan/19/2010-prepxtra-football-team-prepxtra-second-team/
  12. Here is my prediction: Aaron Blance Caleb Blance Hunter Little Parker Wormsley Patrick Daley Great football players. VERY Spartan
  13. I found the article today. Like you, I confirm that I could not find a link. And to answer your question, if you were considered "the best" state wide and the selection process was consistent, wouldn't reason have you conclude that the same were the best locally?
  14. TSWA Announces DIIA All State Team here
  15. Ahhh. The secret is out? Is that official? Maybe we will be worthy to the others that post on the board!
  16. I am afraid you will have to wait til next 2012. But why bother? Or spend the money? I would suggest you go to the other area schools that night. Surely it will be be more competitive. We are just a weeeee private school. And while we are at it (and I will stop here), why do we not hear about Alcoa playing up? Surely you want some more competition in your region.
  17. Here is the latest and greatest on the 2011 Kickoff Classic
