  1. "Champ?" Gotta be Ryan...haha yall might win it I guess, I haven't seen any of them play in camp so you probably know better than I do. What grade will Shannon be in this year?

    7A/7AA

So why does nobody give Macon a chance in 7AA? Yea, it's probably the toughest district in the state, but they have a great point guard and a lot of heart...

    7a

Yall think this year's Macon/RBS game will be as good as last year's?
  4. I don't know which Sleeper it is, but ain't no way Smith County is winning this district, Macon probably won't either but still, no shot....and hey devilfanatic...we'll see, you may be right but we'll see...
  5. Haha, nobody knows, but Macon is the sleeper this year. Call me bias, but with 3 new starters, no one in the district is going to know what to expect. There's also a new coach, but there won't be a transition period since he's been working with these starters since they were freshmen. Don't be surprised when they beat Cannon, Upperman, and Smith County.....
  6. November 17th: Macon County @ Station Camp 6:00 November 19th: Hartsville @ Macon County 6:30
  7. Jeff Beam at Macon County, taking over for Gary Carter after 30+ years.
  8. Yea you can definitely play at a school nearby that has a team...I'm not sure if there are rules about how far you can go though...However, I know our team has players coming in from across the county next year...if that helps at all.
  9. Great game between FCS and Macon Co...it went to a shoot-out. FCS led the whole game and Macon Co score with less than half a minute to play. They played 2 ten-minute overtimes, and it was still tied. FCA scored 2 in the shootout and Macon had none...2 shots hit the bars. It was so intense! FCA won 3-1.
  10. White House definitely wins, especially if they are trying to spell something again...does anyone know what the story behind that is?
  11. True, it wasn't a good game, Macon couldn't get an offense going all night! All 3 captains and another good player were pulled midway through the second half though, so the score doesn't reflect the game...It was 3-1 when players started getting pulled. White House kept all their starters in because they were trying to spell something....don't know what the story behind that was....

    Best Golfer

Somebody asked about female golfers...Chelsey Key from Macon Co. She won her regional and beats a lot of guys...good luck at state Chelsey!!
  13. Six goals? Harsh! Not so fast though, I'd say it'll be a little closer than that, Macon tied Greenbrier and White House only beat them by one....it sounds like White House has a great offense without too much of a defense...if that's the case then the two teams match up pretty well....should be a good game....
  14. Sounds like some people on here have had some pretty bad experiences heading the ball...I've been playing for 7 years and I never headed the ball until a few years ago, but it's not so much the fear of injury as lack of control. As bad as it sounds, I've just recently found the spot on my head that let's me get a controllable shot on it. I think if players are taught HOW to head it correctly, you'll see it a lot more in girl's soccer...we're not as big of sissies as a lot of people think, we're just as ready to take a shot as the guys if we can get it to go where we want.

    Macon Co.?

They've already overcome: being only a second year team. having to fight the school board to get any home games. having only two healthy players on the bench. having only one senior and three juniors (all of which play defense). playing in a pretty tough district. They still went on to win the Cumberland Classic and are undefeated. (4-0-2) Still no props?
  16. Hume-Fogg, they're gonna be on, I can feel it. When they play their game, they're pretty good.
  17. Who's gonna come out on top?
  18. Colby Stinson from Macon Co. is really good, but since their record isn't too great and it's such a small school, he doesn't get recognition. He has one of the best pull-up jump shots I have ever seen.
  19. Larry White and Michael Owens at RBS are both dual coaches. White does girl's high school and junior high and Owens does the same thing with the boys. But I guess it's easier for them since Red Boiling is a K-12 school and they don't have to drive from one school to another.
  20. The whole toilet paper and bouncy ball thing was just for fun, its tradition, its just usually done on our home floor. Nobody could've gotten hurt, we were throwing at the ground, ...they make those things for small children anyway, they're rubber! The chants got a little out of hand, but somebody from RBS side threw a bouncy ball back and hit one of our fans in the head, that's how people get hurt by them. It was a good game, but they didn't shake our hands. I can understand them being mad though, when our fans rushed the floor, I wouldn't have wanted to stand around watching that if I had been on the other side, so that's alright. Maybe next year RBS will be on the other side of the win.....
  21. Macon is just too big. There's alot more size for them than there is for RBS. Plus Larry White runs alot of Carter's plays so you know the defense will be ready. All Macon has to do is shut down W. Jordan and RBS has no where else to go.
  22. Has East Lit. improved alot or did Macon have an off game?
  23. Friendship kills Westmoreland, Mo-town's got no heart, they can't handle the pressure.
  24. Holly Compton from Macon Co would give any of em a run for their money, but she doesnt get the recognition because she goes to a smaller school.
