I am still in shock. I thought he would stay till his daughter graduated. Then to read that he had been thinking about it for 2 yrs now. He did not take this step lightly but he is still the athletic director & will choose well. Sounds as if he has some thoughts already in mind if he said the person will be in place by Feb.

I am going to miss seeing Vic out there. I look forward to the next SP chapter..

Well 4th - now that the 2012 season is over, it IS time to begin thinking AND preparing for the 2013 season. Of course, we have some that also play basketball so they are getting their running done on the hardwood court right now. If you don't want to read what Roy has to say, just don't open the thread. I agree with BabieC re: the attitude needs to improve for some. There is no need for senseless unsportsmanlike penalties.

The young Fitz will show us what he can do next season & I am looking forward to it after seeing him in the Columbia game. It is also encouraging to know that our 6,7 & 8 year olds are racking up wins as well. We will enjoy great Pirate football for many years to come! Go P!!!

OP - we all just were licking our wounds after the loss to Gordy, but are slowly recovering. As for 2013, the remaining players learned a whole lot about how to play in tough games in the loss to Gordy & this WILL make them better - the loss of our seniors however will offset this gain. At least Gordy is losing that big bunch of seniors too so if we meet them come playoffs I expect a different outcome! Go P! I feel a heap better after seeing OP's lineup! Thank ye OP!!

When you have a winning program for as many years as we have it's hard NOT to be a bit arrogant. That's the TRUTH.

Troll - I enjoy the matchup with you all but there is a good point here - we cannot sub in fresh legs like y'all can all the time & because so many play both ways makes it more likely there could be injuries due to fatigue. We can hang with y'all but at what cost to us for the rest of the season? And yes, it's a great gate & we DO need to fill our schedule.
