I think mtp has the best chance of slowing Huntingdon down on the corners than any team they've faced but Huntingdon will still come out on top.

I was trying to say the best team doesn't always win, coach Rice and coach Crews are the best in the buissiness at breaking down film and getting a game plan together. Back when these two teams were in the same region Cville had some good teams but hardly ever won. I know you can't compare any of those Cville teams to this Cville team but you can bet that even though WC may be outmatched they won't be out coached and if there is any weak spots then WC coaches will find them and put a game plan together that will give this WC team the best shot possible. I'm one of the biggest WC fans that's ever been a WC fan but at the same time I happy for the success that Cville has found, its well deserved for a great group of fans. Cville may win by 50 and they may continue their streak of scoreless games but there's one thing for sure, WC will show up and play good old WC smash mouth football mixed with a little finess and give the Dawgs all they got, it will all be left on the field!

I agree, on paper it shouldn't be close, but won't be surprised if it is. Coach Rice has a pretty good record against Cville

And by the way, it was 26-13, hard to figure a way that could be down to the wire

I haven't missed a WC game in 15 years

I started posting in 07 but got off awhile and had to change my name and password when I came back in 09. Used to love going at it back then with Guru, Shep, Moto and the Jo Byrns faithful. Later it was always fun with the NCS bunch, now I'm more into the serious side and let the youngsters do the fighting but things have sure changed!

I agree, it doesn't matter at all, except to the young man who intercepted it and ran it back, but from what I heard and read the penalty's were after he crossed the goal line

Mtp is one of those teams that has always give WC trouble no matter what kind of season each team is having. Take 2011 for instance, I don't think mtp even made the playoffs and WC went undefeated and won the gold ball, mtp was the only team to even come close to beating WC and was only about a foot short on a 2 point conversion from winning

The first thing one of WC coaches told me after last season ended was it's time to start getting ready for Cville next year, as this year got started I didn't think our boys would make it to Cville but they've surprised us their whole lives and they are clearly the underdog but they will show up and give everything they have to give

I'm still not sure what happened on that first score but the second one was enough for the win. Hats off to Huntland on a hard fought game, probably the best defense WC seen all year except maybe Riverside. If Huntland had a passing game at all they would be much better but it was terrible.

+1, if mtp plays up to their potential they can keep it close, if the other mtp shows up it will be ugly

A late score by Stown after a WC penalty fest caused WC to turn the ball over on downs late in the game is far from getting dumped, your eagles wouldn't want to take the field against WC at this point in the season! Who y'all got next week?

Not that I'm aware of. Cville is defiantly having a season for the record books but don't sleep on WC, the boys are playing better each week and the defense is defiantly getting better. I for one have been hoping for this game, I can't wait. Much respect for Cville and their fans! As for the trick plays someone mentioned, won't happen, coach Rice will line the boys up and run right at the Dawgs

WC and Cville played in the same region for years and there was always good sportsmanship

As for mtp, you never know what your going to get out of them, one night they're good enough to win state and the next week they play like they're the worse team in the state

There's no doubt Huntland will show up and play hard, I don't think Huntland or WC is on the level as Cville but not bad teams either. I'm looking for a good hard fought game!

There's roughly 60+ on the roster but a lot of freshman and sophomores. As for losing to mtp, we just lost and that's all I can say but will add that WC is a whole lot better than the way they played in that game. WC has dealt with injuries across the board all year but have almost everyone healthy now

Once again every kid should be able to compete and go to camps or whatever they can to improve their game! It's a whole lot better than drinking or doing drugs during the off season when there's nothing more to do! This chaps me in a bad way, the tssaa is scared that schools will start pulling out and an independent league of some sort start up, they need to take a step back! If mine had been invited he would have played in it if he wanted to(except for the broken leg) and I could care less what tssaa thinks about it!

I don't want to see Huntland play Cville in the 2nd round! I want to see WC play Cville in the second round, win or lose it would be smash mouth and great to see them lock up after several years of not playing each other.
