  1. Centennial should have put 35-40 on the board, maybe more. Too many dropped passes and a couple of mental mistakes that cost them. RHS was very undisciplined and had way too many cheap shots with only a very few getting called. Shame to see them playing like a metro team, but without the speed and athleticism. Their line is huge but they are doing nothing with that size.
  2. Centennial is quietly going about their business. Everytime someone tries to say something positive about CHS, the naysayers get on here and try to tear them down, or accuse them of being a coach or someone that goes by taco. So what's the point of saying much on a message board? Centennial has something special building, both with the football program and with the school, and anyone with an open mind and an iota of sense can see it. There is no point of talking about it on a message board where clueless people on the outside ignorantly take potshots at a school they know nothing about. Have fun with that one.
  3. Having seen both teams play, a few observations; Franklins offense is easier to shut down, as it is one dimensional and that one dimension cant throw well under pressure. Independence has a weak offense too, but they have different things to run/throw at a team. While Indy gave up more points to CHS, their defensive players are stronger and more disciplined than Franklins. Franklin plays with great attitude and the expectation to win, even though their talent is not as good as many of the teams they play. Independence is the better team, but they may not believe in themselves yet. A weak schedule has hurt them. This should be in interesting game. I give the nod to IHS, but wouldnt be surprised if FHS wins.
  4. huh? what in the world are you talking about? Back to football now, please.
  5. I appreciate your response and I know schools have the majority of their kids doing the right thing. But when you have 400 kids who are doing the wrong thing, you have a major problem. My assumption has always been it good kids getting caught up and doing the wrong thing. But when you have that many good kids doing the wrong thing, you have an instituitional problem that in this case looks to be condoned or ignored by both school and community. On top of the post game bahavior, you have the smoke bombing and water ballooning of CHS students by FHS students that we have all heard about. We have the FHS student who threw paint on a couple of dozen CHS students that we all heard about, and then you have the slip and slide poo behavior that we have all heard about. Heck, thats just the stuff that is common public knowledge. There is no way at all that those are the only problems at Franklin. Added all together and you get a zoo. Plain and simple. Franklin HS is currently an embarrassment to the community. I'll get off my soapbox. Lets get back to football. And yes, Franklin beat Centennial, lol. This wasnt about the W/L column, it was about ongoing classless and out of control behavior of a school that should know better and act it.
  6. I dont need to tell what school I played for, thats just a dumb argument on your part. You need to get your head out your backside and help clean up an embarrassment to the entire county. This isnt about winning or losing, its about behavior that is unacceptable in any other community, except, apparently Grassland. Keep enabling the behavior and entitling the kids...great job. That is what i have against FHS and any right and civic minded adult would too. FHS is a zoo and the community is either blissfully ignorant of it, or intentionally ignoring it.
  7. Who is represented by the actions of the entire student section, storming the field to charge across it to the visitors side to cuss, taunt, and shoot birds too? I was there for that one. 400 Franklin students, not celebrating their victory at mid field, but showing the worst case of sportsmanship I have ever witnessed on a football field. So the parents of 400-500 students are represented? Or is it an out of control school, that like you tries to ignore the problem and shoot the messenger? How long have you been on the FHS payroll? Those students represent you as well. Nice job. Lack of instituitional control = Franklin High School. Your students taunt and berate visitors and they poo and pee on each other. That place is more of a zoo than a school, and everyone keeps trying to hide the problems instead of just dealing with it. Throw in the racism of the "rebels" and you have a very embarrassing school, existing in an good old boy town where such behaviors are condoned instead of condemned.
  8. I went to a private and Franklin never had a prayer beating us. From what I understand, Centennial tackles their problems head on, not hiding them. Franklin HS is a disgrace. When the Centennial student section charges the field at the end of the game to go to the visitors side and cuss and shoot birds, then you might be able to say Centennial is worse than Franklin. Until them, you probably should stop defending horrible, classless behavior. Charge the field to celebrate a win with your team, but to go to the other side to behave so crassly is pathetic. Franklin High School is out of control. I believe the NCAA calls it a lack of instituitional control. The inmates are running the prison at dear old FHS.
  9. Don't you need to be out making another poop slide for your girls to go down? I am making that up? Nope. Franklin HS is a disgrace to the community and all the administration can do is lie and cover it up. The Franklin Cotillion really represents the community well. The parents and boyfriends should be so proud. Innoculations for staph anyone?
  10. I have never been beaten by Franklin. I am not a player for CHS. I am a team player in supporting them. Franklin was the homecoming game for my high school and we never lost. The wind blew it over?? Thats too funny and too stupid to believe. To be that dumb and blind, you are qualified to be an administrator at Franklin. Huk, maybe you are.
  11. It says "huk yeah for homecoming" as in combination of he(( and fu *$ = "huk." Typical Franklin classless behavior that the administration turns a blind eye to and says doesnt exist. Worst behaved school in the county by far...well, not by too far. Several others are right in line with them. Good find.
  12. For both teams, the outcome will be determined by which of their bipolar personalities shows up. If Indy cant score, which is always a possibility with their offense, they cant win. There is no doubt about their defense or their kicker. For Centennial, if they continue the high number of turnovers, they cannot over come and will lose. As far as Centennials losses, they have lost to the two teams that are leading their respective districts. The only team that Indy played of any consequence and talent, Indy lost. This will be a good, close game and should be fun to watch. Brentwood is weaker than they have been in decades, Page is Page, Linclon County hasnt been much in 15 years.
  13. Ever see several hundred students storm the field to celebrate a victory? Thats no big deal, and expected, right? Even seen several hundred students storm the field, not even pause midfield for their team celebration, and run to the opposing team's stands to taunt, cuss, and flip off the visitors? I havent seen that, or even heard of it until last Friday night. Most classless thing I have ever seen. The winning team students were even taunting the losing team's players. How does a non athletic kid taunt someone who has put the energy and effort to be on the football team, regradless of the outcome? Include in the picture the pregame activites where the host team smoke bombed and water ballooned the visiting team's student tailgate party, as well as the host team students throwing paint on the visiting teams cheerleaders and mascot, and you get a picture of a completely classless and out of control situation. This is an embarassment to the entire county.
  14. On a different note, there is a heck of a story waiting to be written about the horrendous behavior of a particular student body at a recent game. I saw you there and you even witnessed some of the worst show of sportmanship that anyone ever witnessed run right past you at the end of the game. The amazing part is how well the other side handled it all.
  15. I suggest all the Centennial supporters keep it positive in replying on this thread. As I said in another thread, this message board and threads like this usually fall to the lowest common denominator, ignorance. Let others go there, but not get involved in it. Good luck to both teams. Hopefully both will play clean and injury free.
  16. So anyone the says anything positive about Centennial is Taco, right? There are lots of tacos out there then. Keep it positive people, this is about high school football with young men working hard. The lowest common denominator on this message board usually becomes ignorance, and it looks to be coming from the adults. Can that be avoided for a little while?
  17. good grief Taco has everyone all torn up. He's an idiot but I like his posts.
  18. Taco is an idiot, but is usually more dead on than those that try to fight with him. At least he is a full supporter of Centennial. Lets cut some slack here on a program that everyone knows has huge uphill battles to face before they can experience a complete turn around. They've played one game. Get a grip. The mean spiritedness of so many that post here against Centennial shows a complete lack of personal character. Those posters reveal much more about themselves than they could possibly reveal about Centennial football, since it is obvious they don't know much at all about it.
  19. funny but sounds like someone's kid couldn cut it
  20. You dont have a clue. This team is miles ahead the teams from the past two years. Discipline wise, they are ahead of every other chs team. Give it a little time. The discipline will pay off. Anyone that thinks one game after one summer with a new coach can determine the season is an idiot. Keep working hard, CHS. It will pay off. Your time is coming. Franklin lost their opening game too, to a very mid to low level Rutherford County school. CHS lost to a top metro team. Yeah, yeah, I know, its metro. That argument wont fly. Overton is a quality team with a better history than Franklin. Turnovers killed CHS. A phantom pass interference that got called sent the game in a completely different direction. CHS is going to get their wins. Next week against Franklin? I dont know. If they do, it wont be the huge upset you seem to think it will be. These boys can play and will be getting better every day. They have no pressure this week. They are not supposed to win, so they can relax and lay it all on the line. All the pressure is on Franklin.
  21. Taco irritates me as well, but you can look at retiredtothebleachers posts and see that he posts almost exclusivly in the private threads. And he did hand you your backside in your little debate with him. And I am not Taco either. And I want Franklin to win against H'ville as well. And they should. The Commandos lost a huge chunk of their state finals team.
  22. Thats not really true. If you have a change of address and "move in" at another address with another family member, you have to live there a year to be eligible. TSSAA has ended the days of "moving" to grandma's house to use an address to get into another school zone, at least to the point that it costs a year of eligibility.
