  2. No matter what way you spin this it's bad for BOTH teams, Smyrna and Riverdale. BOTH teams were involved in trying to lose at some point during the game, and BOTH teams deserve an equal amount of scrutiny. Anyone singling out Riverdale is wrong, BOTH teams participated equally in this mockery, and BOTH should be held accountable. The thing that makes me shake my head is ultimately you have to beat Blackman along the way anyhow, so why does losing on purpose to avoid them in the second round benefit you? Hoping someone else can knock them off for you? The likelihood of that is slim to none. Not that I would agree with blatantly losing like this, but atleast I could see the "STRATEGY" argument, if by losing you could avoid Blackman until the State Tournament, but you can't, can you??? Lastly, I wonder what the administrations of BOTH schools think of all this. In my experience, most schools administrations (even up to the college level), care less about winning and more about image. Since this has become very public at this point, I'm sure administrators at both schools will be discussing it.
  3. Trevor Goodson takes a look at some of the best unsigned and uncommitted players in KY and TN, that he has seen in the past month. The last month and a half we have covered several events throughout Kentucky and Tennessee. These events include but are not limited to, the Raatz Fence Classic, Louisville Invitational Tournament, All “A†Classic, District 7AAA (TN) tournament, District 9A (TN) tournament and several high school games. We will be filling you in on several uncommitted players that we have seen since January. First we will highlight the 2015 & 2016 prospects. For the complete article - CLICK HERE
  4. That's done for college basketball, I believe it's a website called pollspeak and it shows each voters votes.
  5. No one should disparage anyone on the list, all are great players, but there are definitely some players who did not make it who should have.
  6. The stats have been posted in this thread multiple times. It's by far the biggest snub this year....Double double average. Led an unknown team to a 27-0 record....what more could she have done???
  7. My take on some of this year's biggest snubs! https://scoutingjohnmcgraw.wordpress.com/2015/02/13/tennessee-miss-basketball-finalist/
  8. Dangerfield is a slam dunk. I think GC's point is that, Jackson while a phenomenal talent and a great player, was not quite as outstanding over the full course of the season. Dangerfield was more consistently dominant on a night in night out basis. No knock on Jackson....GC please correct me if I misread your earlier post on this. And to second GC's post....Madison Heckert leading her team to an undefeated record while consistently post double-doubles (and sometimes triple-doubles), should be a slam dunk in single A. If there is another player in single A that has led their team to an undefeated season...and put up double doubles almost every single game (and averaged a double-double), please speak up, Bouldin withstanding (team has lost 4 games, twice to Jackson Co but double digits, but still a very good record).
  9. When are Miss Basketball finalist being announced?
  10. Aaron Holland takes a look at the future of Murfreesboro Basketball for John McGraw Scouting Recap of the Rutherford Co. Middle School Tournament.
  11. No major changes at the top in TN 1. Blackman 2. Elizabethtown (KY) 3. Dyer Co 4. Ridgeway 5. Mt. Juliet 6. Oakland 7. Butler (KY) 8. Henderson Co. (KY) 9. Riverdale 10. Elizabethton For the rest of the poll...click here
  12. I would second a number of players listed here including - A - Madison Heckert - probably the most double double in the state. Not sure if this stat is available but my guess is she has recorded a double double in 20+ games. AA - Myah Taylor - Others listed credentials I would also like to add Raven Fair Single A Union City - She is currently the single A leading scorer at 21.8 PPG on a team where she is constantly double teamed. She is 3rd overall in the state in scoring and MANY of the Union City games have been against AA and AAA competition. Raven is also averaging 8.5 rebounds per game and 3.8 steals per game. Finally she led her team to the single A state title game in her Soph and junior seasons.
  13. Just for the record the article on Anastasia (the correct spelling I believe), is on our free site and all of the content in that article is free. Here's the link to the article which Chronicles 5 prolific scorers in TN/KY who are uncommitted - again I admitted we probably should have included her the POY poll. We didn't leave anyone out intentionally....actually we included as many kids as we could come with hence the fact that there is 25+ kids in the poll, when the reality to me is there are probably 2 truly deserving candidates. And no sense beating a dead horse we will have to agree to disagree on what merits of players can be posted and what can not. s I previously stated they are both very good...no slight there.
