  5. explained on first page of thread... icoachdefense, on 02 Nov 2015 - 1:43 PM, said: Northpoint Christian used to be SBEC, which was originally in Memphis, Tn. New location is literally a mile from the state line. Mississippi has no private school organization that is recognized by the NFHS. MHSAA (public school association) does not have a Division 2, Mississippi has MAIS, which is an independent organization and not recognized by NFHS, If SBEC had been a member of the MAIS, because of the size of their school, their closest league game would have been in Jackson, Ms (180 miles). If they were a member of MHSAA, because of the multiplier, they would be classified as a 3A or 4A school, closest district game of 45 miles. TSSAA is not a "state organization" is is also an independent organization, but an organization that is recognized by the NFHS. TSSAA could in fact let anyone into their association, as long as they pay the membership fee. In other associations, there are multiple precedence's of bordering school playing in the neighboring states association. SBEC/Northpoint has been a member of TSSAA since the schools inception and when they began interscholastic athletics. The school is smaller than Harding, ECS, St. George, Lausanne, USJ, and FACS in the west region.
  6. Man, i put an APB on you and glad you have returned... How is the UC?

Harding has to get over the hump of beating SGIS but i think both Harding and SGIS will be the last two standing and playing on the first Saturday in March
  8. glad this was not tiwtter... there would have been 25 posts to get all this in... and in reverse order
  9. 2 questions... 1. is it intentional grounding when the QB throws the ball over the head of the receiver and out of bounds on a screen pass? 2. is it pass interference when the ball is 20 yards overthrown and no possible way for the catch to be made? thanks
  10. thank You... was always curious as to why players would not just tackle them when they are rugby style kicking
  11. for ECS, never count out Coach Tippett. And if the game gets into the 40's then it has been a bad game for them. Have plenty of popcorn hot because it will most likely be a slow game.
  12. actually looking at the numbers from the West Region school's CoachT page, only Harding (396) and ECS (515) have more students. NCS 280; FACS 224 SGIS 212 Lausanne 206. Dont forget about the other schools in the West. Tipton-Rosemark 160; Memphis Catholic 135; Rossville 125; USJ, Fayette Academy and Sacred Heart Of Jesus (Jackson TN) do not list their enrollment
  13. sorry about that. I need to "remind" the workers to tell everyone about that. Come see me next time you are there and I'll see what i can do...
  14. @ Bob77 how are things looking JC way? UCSportsFan, how are you doing my friend? you have been quite lately...
  15. not sure about the hugging emoji.
  16. nothing stung me with your counter and personal attack. nothing is stopping my ability to compare times. i see the times and the public schools played with less rest time. if it is not a "shot-over-the-bow", stir the pot, excuse, then why bring it up. And some would say that you and your wittier minded friends do the same as you accuse others of doing. You do it in a way that is humorous and we all laugh. And I must say, you do have a wit and humor that i do like, even in this case when it is pointed at me. And thank you for enunciating my name.
  17. woooo. Slow your horses.. Obviously, you never eaten a burger from Harding... #HalfPounder
  18. yes you are correct. the TSSAA is all about cheating to keep D1 public schools from getting the much need 3 extra hours of rest. Oh wait... ND is not a public school so it must be about TSSAA cheating to make sure private schools in the public division do not win. Just saying.
  19. i think if you check from last year, the times were reversed. DII played early matches on "short" rest. And they will again next year.
  20. probably doesn't matter but Germantown will have a new coach this year. He is now at Lausanne.
  21. so basically, directly behind the center is the safe zone for punters, unless he muffs or fumbles the snap?
