This thread started out ok and has quickly spiraled out of control. Learn from others mistakes. "The Decision"

Well, not that it matters but Walker Valleys whole staff is from Bradley. There is only so many coaches and teaching positions that a school can offer to keep people in house. So Coach Rains leaving is not really a surprise because of the change of position but will be different seeing him cheering on the mustangs. Walker Valley is a good school and continues to improve every year.

This looks like a thread started to take a jab at Coach Rains for leaving Bradley to goto Walker Valley. Because this thread really makes no sense with the title of the topic and the posts you made.

He was a great coach. I keep thinking Brett Favre for some reason. Ha

1. Cleveland 2. Soddy 3. Ravenwood 4. Science Hill 5. Houston 6. Bradley 7. Clarksville 8. Ooltewah 9. Franklin 10. Walker Valley

Houston should be very competitive this next season. Don't be surprised if they finish in the top 5 next season. Coach Peck at Ravenwood has done a great job. I think I would put Ravenwood to finish 3rd next season. Ravenwood is a team when you step on the mat you know your going to wrestle a quality guy. They are very impressive and seem to compete at a high level every year. Might be a surprise to others but I think Walker Valley could finish in the top 10 next season. Usually over looked because #1 and #2 are all in the same county, had possibly the youngest team in the state this year. Chatt Central should be tough next season. The team won the small school state and seemed to tank it after that. I think Chatt Centrals coaches will have them back in the the hunt for the small school state title and will have the team prepared for success and carry it over to the traditional tourn in 2012

Before I make a prediction, I need to know who the officials are for each match.

I think you can get me to agree with you on every point except if Logston gets out. If the head man is gone this will affect the Bradley Wrestling program.

From what I have been told the depth of this bradley team was not deep. Middle school team was one of the worst it has had and I also heard the best coach in the State maybe getting out. This is all hear say, but what I have heard through the grapevine.

Da Bears leaving out the other local school Walker Valley. Allen does a great job and Ill add Tommy from Dickson Co.

I thought if a wrestler did not make weight, that his team would lose all its points that the wrestler has earned and is no longer part of the tourny.

I'm surprised mikescott has not made the assumption that Mr. Jones paid off Freeman from Ravenwood to not make weight. Everyone received points for a fall that was supposed to face him including Cleveland.

From what I was told every coach in the state voted for the split except for 5 coaches so this will happen. The part I'm more curious about seeing is how the small schools will vote with having the option to go small school or large school,

One has 4 and possibly 5 Cleveland guys either placing too high or they won't place at all.

Why do you have to be a region champ just to prove that placing in the state the year before means something. Sometimes the top 2 guys are in the same region? If you place you should be reconized as a medalist. There are to many good kids wrestling state championship caliber matches in the first round or two and easier matches after that

I hate to hear this. East TN teams starting to feel some of the problems middle and west TN teams went through. I hope someone can help these kids out.

Great post daisy. And your right BC has been the only team to continue to do what they do, and that's win. But I do think B C run is about to end after this year.

And that's pretty much why we have the split. DII did not want to follow orders so they decided to do their own thing. And that leads us back to why Bradley won't wrestle baylor or mccallie

To cover the cost of the room? So Tssaa does not pay a penny for this place and "the willamson co schools " had to pay for the room in this building to provide for officials and coaches?

Did the coaches not pay for this service every year? It has never cost TSSAA any money has it? Seemed like I remember SD made good money off of the hospitality room. So why would TSSAA get involved with this? Why would Williamson Co give this up?

Soddy was warming up to wrestle. So mutual agreement for SD to be declared the Region Champ? Not that the match had anything to gain except another great match all in one night! These 2 will see each other in the State Finals and that is the goal!
