when was the last time the men had a better record than the women? i think the guy's are playing well but they have to learn to play with the lead. never should have gone to overtime tonight. but i am proud of them for sticking with it and holding on. good job guy's. i like coach Allen and think he will do good things at MJ
I noticed Van Atta didn't get in the game until 5:00 left. Is Fryer sending a message after her poor outing against Smyrna, or was she still hurting from hitting her head against the wall? Also Gibson didn't play. Good job Lady Bears!!!
hasell is only there for one year unless she moves to wc's zone. something about a class she wanted to take that they don't offer at labanon. sounds kinda fishy to me.
as alway's one of the toughest district's in the state(if not the toughest) in my opinion the top four will be in no particular order, mj, wc, smyrna, h'ville. am looking forward to some great games
i have been watching mj football for years(even played it) i am disgusted at how far down it has gone. i know the split hurt, but this team seems to be soft. nothing against the kids, it's just the way they are coached. i guess we'll just have to wait for girl's b-ball.
ha ha seems like i remember that too. as to the game, it was a well played game by both teams, well disciplined hard-hitting football, the way it should be. good luck to both teams, looking for a rematch
Well I'm old school (or maybe just old). I had the pleasure of watching all of these ladies play. Finley and Sheila Jo had similar games, perhaps because of the six on six play. Both were prolific scorers but didn't have to worry about defense or rebounding. Clark is by far the most dominant player I have seen at MJ. One little nugget: Sheila Jo 1977 State Tournament MVP- 35 pts. in final game. Congrats Alysha on winning AAA Miss Basketball and to you and the rest of the Lady Bears for going all the way! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you play the past three years. Thank you and good luck!!!
Sadly I heard on the news that this is true. It seems Amy was killed in a one-car accident on I-840. The entire Mt. Juliet community would like to express our sincere condolences. Our prayers go out to her family.
