  1. I don't think I kicked anybody, but everyone has their dirty little tricks. When I am on top of somebody, yeah I lean into them, that's porbably what you saw, and yeah, I am guilty of that completely. Everyone does those little things, like when crease attackmen jab me in the ribs with the butt end of their stick when I am covering them. That kind of thing happens. I was not out to play cheap, in fact I didn't have a single penalty during the first half of play. I did lose it and run over two picks, which was dirty and uncalled for, and for that I apologize. I lost my head, no excuse.
  2. Although I did lose my temper, I did not say a single word the the officials. I am waiting until after the season to talk to them. I did lose my temper, and for that I am sorry. I do not appreciate biased refs, heck. one of the refs threw the flag at me when he was penalizing one of our coaches, then he called an unsportsmanlike conduct foul on me for the flag hitting me. Explain that one wavelax. MUS - CBHS state championship game sounds nice.....
  3. Absolutely the worst Lacrosse game I have ever been a part on. I think the refs need to take an Ethics class. I do not think that it is ethical to officiate a rivalry game like this one when your son is on the field or your son graduated from one of the teams in recent years. I dealt with the first two bs calls, but when the ref threw a flag on one of our coaches and the flag was thrown at me I lost it. I got my third penalty for holding my hand up to block the ref's "unintentional" toss. The next time the ball was at my end, I had had enough, and I apologize for running over those two guys, but I could not take it any longer. The third foul on me during that play was also bs, I hit Tony's stick right between his hands. I can't wait 'til the end of the season to give those refs a piece of my mind. Throughout the game, the refs would not let us touch any of their players, while Sam and Cooper were raped from behind on numerous plays and did not receive a call. In fact, Hopkins got pushed from behind by Schaeffer and he landed in the crease, and what do you know, Hopkins got called for being in the crease. However, in the last two minutes or so, CBHS could not get a call their way, which surprised me. -On another note, the Brothers played well against us like I thought they would, but I think they lost the game by not capitalizing on our 19 penalties. They only scored on one man up situation, and it was a two man advantage. I feel really bad for letting my team down by getting kicked out at the end of the third quarter. I am really happy for my teammates that stepped up to pull out the important victory. Chris, you played one heck of a game. And to all the other players for CBHS, good game. I hate that such a big rivalyry game could be ruined by poor officiating. Good luck to CBHS in the playoffs, I want to meet ya'll in the finals up in Chattanooga.
  4. Kappy, It was a great game from the start. When we started warming up before the game; however, we looked like we had gone through a long game the night before, which was true. Anyways, we kicked into gear once the game started. We scored the first goal in the first few minutes of the game. Then, Lassiter scored two unanswered goals over the course of the next few minutes. We began to trade goals throughout the first half. The score at half time was 5-4 Lassiter. Their offense was mainly a 2-3-1, looking for #4 on the crease. #4 was a good player, in fact, the best crease attackman I have ever played against. We started off slow in the third quarter, only scoring 2 goals to their 4. We started the 4th quarter down 6-9. At the beginning of the 4th quarter, Lassiter got a stick penalty, 3min non-releaseable. Instead of capitalizing on the penalty, we played more defense man up than offense. At this point, I had a lot of doubts about pulling the victory out, having watched our offense blow the biggest opportunity of the game. With about 6 minutes left, we began our run. We scored a goal. Then, they scored a goal by dodging against me( I should have beaten him, but i had just gotten back on the field due to major cramps) and beating Jimbo on a BS play. With about four minutes left, we were down 10-8. Our attack did not get impatient, instead we used plenty of clock, scoring two more goals to tie up the game with about a minute left. Our offense got the ball and we called a timeout with 22 seconds left. On a semi-busted play, Gibby took it himself to score the go-ahead goal with 15 seconds left. On the ensuing faceoff, the ball made it down to our defense. They copmleted a pass to a man on the crease, but he dropped the ball as he was shooting on a nearly open net. The ball went up and I took a swat at it and missed. Lassiter's #4 tried to put the ball in the goal, but it bounced off Jimbo's foot, coming to rest about 10 yards wide of the goal as the buzzer sounded. -Hope that was good enough Kappy
  5. Kaplan, don't ever insult our new jerseys again!! The game was incredible, it is hard to even put into words what I felt like after that game. I put so much into that game, it has been hard for me to get around today. Lassiter's Record 32-1
  6. What does everyone listen to before their lacrosse games??? I just made a cd to play during warm ups and I am kind of curious about everyone's favorites.

    MUS @ MBA

Does not look like there is an available date for a makeup game. Hopefully MUS and MBA will meet in the tournament.
  8. I don't know what game you were watching, but MUS controlled the ball and the pace of the entire game. The one shot, a very good shot, that ridgeway did have caught the keeper for MUS out of position. That was the only offense that Ridgeway had all game. MUS dominated the game, creating many shot opportunities that they were unfortunately unable to capitalize on. In all, MUS should have beaten Ridgeway into the ground Tuesday night, and I am looking forward to watching that matchup again. MUS LACROSSE
  9. I can't wait to play Lassiter. I wish we could play Westminster again. For some reason, every time we play Westminster, it is closer than it should be. TN lacrosse is better than GA lax. Bring 'em on.

    MUS Opener

To be honest, the Hun School did not impress me very much. However, two of the attackmen told me that they had only started practice a few days before they came down to FL due to heavy snowfall throughout the winter in NJ. So, we had a three week advantage on preparation. There were not any antheletes that impressed me, even the one player I was told was going to go to any program he wanted to next year was nothing special. Their offense didn't dodge or try to break down the defense, in fact, it was more boring than playing defense against McCallie. Their defense compromised of three heavy and slow defensemen that enjoy hitting more than I do. I think that the Big 3 are ranked as high as they are for a reason: showing this NJ team what TN lacrosse is all about really made my spring break.
  11. MUS and McCallie were both in NC last spring break. We both fared well. In fact, MUS beat the NC and TX state champions of 2004.

    MUS Opener

We beat the Hun School twice, both by double digits. Also, we beat the local FL team 17-2.
  13. Our SWIMMING TEAM just returned from their state championship. As I was listening to their chapel presentation, I began talking to a teammate, asking why swimming and bowling are TSSAA sports, but lacrosse is not. It is simply ridiculous, I have to sit and watch a lot of unathletic classmates participate in TSSAA sports while I do not. There must be a change soon.
