Anyone have a roster and when they play?

If you don't mind me asking, where did he sign?

Exciting game. Scott's hill won 1-0 by way of a past ball. Great sportsmanship on both sides and some fantastic defense on both sides as well. UC pitcher gave up 2 hits while Scott's hill guy only gave up 5 hits. I know it was tuff on uc to lose that game ,but I really enjoyed watching a quality game like that as a neutral spectator. Kudos to both teams and good luck to scotts hill next week.

Union City may be a dark horse to some but they do have great pitching pretty deep in their lineup. The Treece kid sports a 0.21 era and is 10-0. They have another one that lost one game at the start of the season and is unbeaten since. The left handed center fielder comes in as a closer and is lights out. Parker is his name. The other kid struggled some early but has come on strong the last half including a no no in district tournament. Not saying they will win it all but having four really good pitchers in a tournament is usually a good thing. They do have to get by Scott's hill first though.

Reg 7..... Union City won 7-2 over Huntinton.

They held a pretty good hitting McKenzie team to 0 runs monday night with great pitching and some top notch dafensive plays. They have definately gelled as a team this year. Good luck to those young men and congratulations on a great season so far.

Union City won again tonight putting them in the championship game tomorrow. They beat Halls. Trenton peabody came from behind in the 7th to win and knock Greenfield out. Trenton and Halls play tomorrow for their chance at the championship game against Union City. Good luck to those teams.

Clay Treece from Union City. Unbeaten.....6 shut outs.......113 strikeouts.......0.23 era......two(2) earned runs all season against him. 1 unearned run. These are really unbelievable numbers but I saw him pitch against us a few weeks ago and he had 20 Ks that night. He is a three pitch pitcher and can hit his spots really well. I am glad he is graduating this year because he completely dominated every team in our district this season. He shut greenfield out last night 7-0 with 13 Ks in tournament play. Oh, I got his numbers from game changer io.com.

Does anyone know the times and places for the games on thursday or where you can see a tournament schedule? An address for the gps would be great as I am from Greenfield and know little about Murphysborro (sp) .Thanks for any info.

Well the Jackets have lost 2 now after last night vs. Union City. The Treece kid from UC pitched a complete game giving up one earned run with 13 K's against a very good hitting Greenfield team. One of the guys at the game said he was unbeaten this year.All I could do was tip my hat to this kid for a standout performance.BUT we got it back tonight with a win against UC. With that said I think the Jackets have a great shot at sub state again but who knows after that.

man you don't read before you run that trap do you? as i said earlier, i am not even from uc nor a fan. my son played against them in the opening regional game if it really matters. i was just responding to your cocky post. good luck to all the state teams....even you pantherfan.

my point is this .......go crawl in a hole and stay there......you are better,we are better,any team can be beat at any time. all these young men work their tails off to get to the big match up, why degrade the ones who don't win it all? i'd say they are all pretty dang tough to make it to the sub state.

so what? sounds like you guys need to get out of the box a little more instead of beatin up on the same ole poor teams. you know i am not even from union city but you riverside folks need to get over yourselves. congrats that you have a great team but the shots on the other teams are pretty classless. they are still kids. you can tell when a kid gets on here and run runs his mouth, but come on, i think it is safe to say that alot of this crap comes fron the adults. pulling for your team is great but why not leave the cheap shots where they belong. i'm willing to bet there is not many folks running that mouth like they do on here when they are at the ball park.

Clay Treece and Drake Parker (rhp and lhp)will definately be a very strong 1-2 punch on the mound for Union City. The Treece kid has some of the best pitching mechanics I have seen. These two guys will be tough on hitters over the next couple of years.I definately hate it for our kids!

can anyone tell me about the pitcher for Union City ....he is number 3 and has red hair.....he pitched against Adamsville fri night and beat them 11-1. he gave up only 2 or 3 hits and went the whole game.this kid seemed to have an array of pitches and stayed around the zone all night....he only walked one i believe.....seemed to be very difficult to hit.supposed to be a freshman or soph. haven't heard much about the union city team , but this kid looked real solid, and if he is a freshman , he will be one to watch out for in the future for sure! anyone know his name?
