Any news on this hire? Gallatin has been one of the premier programs in the state. If they wanted to atract the best coaches they should open it up to coaches of all levels. You might be surprised but there are plenty of quality JV and middle school coaches, if given the right chance would do great things at the high school level.

Not sure I follow your question? Was that sarcasm? My allegiance are with Riverdale and as I said most of my players end up at Riverdale. Some go to Oakland, some go to Blackman, etc. Some get stolen by the private schools which I have no love lost for. What gives?

WingT can work in grade school, high school and college. I coach middle school football and we run the WingT and believe me it works. Most of the kids we coach go to Riverdale, some go to Oakland, some get stolen by private schools...so they should know how to run the Wing T. I prefer more if a hybrid that what Coach A runs. Its a little different style of Wing T, yes he probably runs it more, but it can be effective. Let's be honest the talent pool at Riverdale is not what it once was in the 90's. I think that has more to do with Riverdale's struggles than Coach A running the wing T.

Warriors got off to a promising start last night. I still think we need to get away from the wing t, despite some proponents of it on this thread. But we looked good last night. It’s clear there isn’t a whole lot of faith in the passing game, but we are strong and fast. Defense looks strong and to Bacillum’s point we will have more productive tackling going forward. Special teams will be great this year. Glad we’ve got a strong leg at kicker. Tougher next week but we’ll be even better than last night.

I must second this post. Rankin is a clear winner. Multiple state championships with more than one team. This is more than a run of good luck. This guy has talent and leads his players across the finish line.

Why waste Davenport on special teams during a pre-season scrimmage? Prevent re-injury to his hamstring and train the bench so we continue to have depth on this team. I'm with Adeylott on this.

Someone needs to step up and be the next Alvin Duke or Ralph King.

Coach Adeylott could do some good things this year, but he needs to get away from the wing t offense.

Adam will pick it up as the season progresses. I have confidence in his abilities for this season and think he will be a real asset for the Warriors. Don't know much about the upcoming juniors. Anyone have any insight?

Riverdale will be a strong contender this season. Some valuable juniors and seniors returning and with that experience we should be ready for some good match ups.
