  1. Does anybody have a link to the game to watch live? Unfortunately not all alumni can make it to the big game this afternoon, but we will all be there in spirit. CAK 38 Milan 24
  2. I finally get to see the team play for the first time this year. For how much I've heard about how this year's CAK squad, I am preparing for a game that may be competitive for about two quarters. I really hope CAK shows up Friday night to put on a good show for homecoming. Good luck Warriors!
  3. Good win tonight CAK. It's too bad that this had to happen when CAK and Alcoa didn't have some of their best teams in the recent past. Alcoa has four losses on the season, and CAK lost two games one of which was to 1A GCA. This could have been an instant classic, but the fact that both of these teams are definitely down this year takes away from the greatness of this event.
  4. Just curious, but do you believe this CAK team deserves a #1 ranking?
  5. What is this #1 ranking you are talking about?
  6. I've been trying to keep up with my warriors through CoachT, but nobody is helping me out. Week after week there is very little "friendly" conversation between opponents like there was in the old days. Occasional trash talk never hurt anybody. What happened to that fire that used to ignite this flame? Are the warriors just not as rowdy as we used to be? All I can say is that I'm proud these guys are showing up out on the field. I wish I could keep up with everybody more. But nobody is helping me out here. Go Warrriors!
  7. I completely agree. CAK's lack of experience on Defense will show more in this game than in the previous 3. CAK is going to struggle throughout the game, especially on D. But, CAK offense is too much for the rams. CAK 42 GCA 31.
  8. For the most part I agree with what you have to say, but everybody knows there will be a more defenses that put the CAK offense in some tight spots. CAK might as well say goodbye to a 3 man rush for the rest of the season if the opponent is any good. I want to see how this team handles the adversity of playing against 2-3 kids who get after the qb. High has had 2 outstanding performances in his carreer, but I think my old, frail body could have thrown a couple TD's for how much time he had in the pocket. I will wait to give my assessment of this offense when they face a legitimate pass rushing threat. Who knows when that will be? But I guarantee you one thing, the Big Boi's from Alcoa are going to get after High, and I'm curious if he can handle the pressure.
  9. CAK had an astounding offense last night, but whats new? Everybody knew Rusty would have the O firing on all cylinders. WHY ARENT YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT THE DEFENSE? They had one returning starter, and I think I speak for everybody when I said we weren't expecting very much out of them. But my goodness, they had something like 5 take-aways and only gave up 21 points against a well established AC offense. Sure you could say it was rust on the part of AC, but the bottom line is that CAK took it away when they needed to and they kept AC out of the endzone. Now before everybody starts jumping on the CAK-is-going-to-bea-Alcoa bandwagon remember this, hardly any of these kids have played against a team like that. There was close to no pass rush in last nights game, and everybody knows that Alcoa knows how to get to the qb. The CAK defense played well last night, but they need have to improve a lot before the 10th game in order to win. Alcoa minimizes mistakes which means they don't turn the ball over. Anyways, CAK had an impressive start to the season last night. Keep it up Warriors!
  10. It's too bad I may miss this one tonight. Its going to be a great matchup with the possibility of a lot of points. If I do miss the game, can't wait to see what everybody says after CAK wins
  11. My bad. And can we stop with the Moms, please? I simply forgot that Franklin had a broken collarbone. I talked to Bradley a couple of days ago about the injury. But, the offense still has enough fire power to put up a lot of points tomorrow night.
  12. Our program has been around for about 10 years and we have not won a state championship yet. But, this coaching staff hs only been in place for 4 years. And the last two years CAK has only lost to one oponent who has won 7 consecutive state championships.
  13. Coaching Edge? Is a CAK staff full of national champoinships and a head coach who has a been a proven winner not enough?
  14. I don't know of any injuries going into this game, but some AC DB's may have some broken ankles after Howell, Smith, and Murchison get a hold of 'em.
  15. I didn't say anything about that concerning my mother. I was simply telling APB to watch what he said about the moms that attend our games. My mother is a happily married woman, and you wouldn't want father coming after you if he heard you talking about his wife like that.
  16. APB lets watch what we say here...may I remind you that my mother was one of those CAK moms that you're talkin' about.
  17. Folks are expecting this to be a close game with lots of passing. From what I've heard there may be less passing than initially expected for this game. And from my opinion it will not be close. CAK has too many offensive weapons for AC to stop: a talented group of recievers, a quarterback ready to show what he's got, and an o-line anchored by the future all-star Willy-G.
  18. I have somewhat recently graduated from CAK and I couldn't have loved my experience there more. All sports at the school are amazing. And as far as commuting everyday, one of my best friends atually lives in blount county and had a pretty long drive. You have to make some sacrifices, but from my experience as well as some of friends' experiences it is well worth it...and you may want to make sure you attend the alcoa game again this year. UPSET ALERT!
  19. Charlie High is going to be a great player one day, but he has only played one varsity football game. I can't agree with him being one of the two best qb's when he has virtually never played before.
  20. Let me start by saying that this team has some BIG shoes to fill from last years seniors. They have only lost to one team in the past two years. And from the words of several alcoa players I have encountered in the past several months last year's team should have beat 'em. Enough of that...Cak is going to compete in their district like they do every year. Beat most of the teams without much trouble. Loudon may be a bump in the road as both teams always bring their "A Game" for this match-up. Then come the big boys from alcoa. I expect the trend to stay true. Cak loses to alcoa again during the regular season. Cak's young defense is going to have to grow up a lot before they reach the 10th game on the schedule. But, that is still to be determined. Overall, I expect a pretty solid team this year. Very strong offense as usual that will have to bail the defense out of several situations.
  21. You may have a very fine defense at AC, but believe it or not CAK has a very potent offense that not too many defenses are able to stop on a year to year basis.
