  1. The question nobody has asked is: Will this be the last game of this wonderful past six years worth of game, many twice a year? Lots of good games played by these two teams and I really hate to see it end! Goodbye private's and public open zone school's may you compete again someday!
  2. So Cak had Charlie High, Howell, and Josh Smith. They went to Cak for k-12. Kendrick sat a year as he transferred from grace, and the running back was a transfer from Maryville. So who's schooling was paid for? Maybe you should know something before running your flapper
  3. How do the numbers look? 4-2-5 might work well for the Warriors on D! I heard the O was going to be some spread but will eventually go away. Really QB not a spread QB more of a pro style. Can't wait to see blocking sleds and tackling drills
  4. I take the blame for the grace game. Reece Duncan (R.I.P) missed an extra point just before so when they scored I put my hands up for two and Rusty went with it. That Alcoa goaline play I'll never forget either. Alcoa brings in a DT and FB behind him then the TB. Everyone knew who was getting the ball and for once Cak stuffed it. Cak was also very lucky that year against Betsy as Charlie High could have had plenty maybe three picks that day they dropped. If Cak had any kind of defense they would have easily taken those two years. It also helped they got Maryville's fifth string running back Corey Rathbones who turned out to be a really good player. I think he's still at Tenn Tech. I'm not sure what the offense will hold, but I hope the defense will be much stronger. With hat being said they might drop down a little and peak right at playoff time like two years ago?
  5. The best news is Cak finally has a coach that ordered a blocking sled and a tackling sled. Maybe they can tackle better now something they never worked on, and maybe just maybe we can see a little lineman with hand in the dirt!
  6. . Corey Rathbones dad was a Maryville High alumni and played drums in the band
  7. . Tommy Pharr left Farragut for Cak dayna carter left Seymour for Cak they have Tony Cosey an Olympian coaching track, I think they have the money And will spend it
  8. Cak doesn't need to hire a pro style or I formation type coach! That system won't work at Cak with limited athletes and size, they need to stick with a coach who can spread the ball out. I wonder also if the new coach will keep the same RB type stuff and try not to play starters both ways. That's tough with limited bodies I know! I would actually incorporate some spread "run" after Cole graduates. I don't think Wittens brother leaves his hometown and school. I wonder if the AD will hire his son who is already in as coach of the lacrosse team! I'm affaird with the last few hires I'm not real confident in a good hire. Just my two cents
  9. I'll take a leftover Corey Rathbone Anyday...Keep sending your third string west... The Alcoa kid at Cak isn't bad either this year! Why do you think Alcoa and Maryville are so good and Willy B and Heritage are not? Same county
  10. Packer sports went to pilot with a plan. With his Thursday night games looking grim because schools are losing gate, Packer pitched the idea with hopes it would help continue his production. Easy write off for Pilot, this is more about Packer sports. Read the Knox news article and you will figure the slimness out. I am glad though all the schools are getting taken care off. Hope all the mid field logos aren't so bland as the few I've seen.
  11. I think when the split happens the Private schools with form a new (TSSAA) association
  12. I'm just saying winning a state title you would think some athletes will want to go play for the Irish. I didn't see this happen at another school down the road, but Catholic a different machine.
  13. #23 was fast, and I think much better than Devron Young could ever be.
  14. How many Offense and Defensive players you losing? I am hearing word cak coach might leaving for the college level?
  15. Two dirtiest private schools in Knoxville. Grace calling catholic bad? what a joke...lol
  16. I'm guessing 100 stud football players find Knox Catholic next year somehow.... Kinda like how they went from Average to pretty dang good with kids I've never seen at catholic all of a sudden on the team when the new coach arrived.
  17. Alcoa has this game! Great adjustments at half tornadoes!
  18. Please spread it out gary, that first series had promiss.
  19. A AA AAA like the old days! that is all..
  20. Rankin gets in this play calling rut, they started soo good!. Uh oh the big bad Alcoa got beat in zone.....
  21. Alcoa needs to keep it spread out like that first series. Those CPA linebackers are coming every play. Cpa needs to run and keep using those screens to soften up that Alcoa great Dline.
  22. Alcoa And Maryville both charge Tuition, that means they accept kids from out of zone. Now we know they never "Waive' that for Athletes Wink wink so I was told that is what makes them different for a private school.
  23. Honestly if Alcoa loses Rankin will blow his Private head up! Although his daughter attended Cak for a year, he dislikes the privates big time. I guess it started when Rusty called gary to tell him Catholic was illegally practing. I hope the F-5 bring it home, but the the best F5 offense is that defense. Another low scoring game.
  24. Alcoa has a Great front Let's just say four and a backer the Other Mcclurg twin but the offense is very little to be desired for. They scored on a trick pass play good call with three backs lined up in the backfield, then on a long run which was stopped for lose but did a good job getting loose and scoring. I think if you can get that defense off balance see Maryville's first half then you can do some damage. I will research some ND then come back with a score.
