  1. cascade wins by +14 points unless they turn over the ball alot, big night running the ball for the champions...book it here
  2. Well, i will say this, warren county does have better athletes as a whole than they have placed on the field in a long time. I hope sincerely that coach johnson turns things around and gets everything going in the right direction. I will say this though, if they do go to hire another coach after this year they should not hire a middle school coach, coaching high school and middle school are in many ways worlds apart and i do know for a fact that they did interview several very experienced head coaches with state championships and decided to go the way they went. It is what it is. Many years ago i played against a football from wc that had womack on it, he was quite a player and the team was tough as nails...if it was that way once it can be that way again. You need a winner, and you had several interview. you went with a guy that played on a national championship team, for the jacksonville jags and coached and arena league team and on top of that is a fine, christian man. None of which has really made him prepared for the nature of high school football.
  3. i hate to tell you but shelbyville has one of the most athletic teams i have seen them have in some years....their skill players are incredible, they throw and catch very well, do not know the strength of their o and dline but this will be be the best skill wc will probably see this year, the spread could be 35-42 points depending on how much wc can run the ball and control the clock
  4. prayers to the hurd family and the beech family also, horrible news...good luck and a speedy recovery!
  5. it is a shame, warren county has had a better run of talent over the last 4 years than they normally have, I know that they have had many assistants leave but they have changed offenses multiple times and that kills your team. Coach Johnson seems to be a great guy and it is good that they are giving him time to establish a program. Hopefully the system will yield him some wins this year.
  6. You hate to hear that anyone gets injured but the risner kid was a great football player on both sides of the ball. Coach Statom will get the ship righted and the Trojans will bounce back. Maybe risner can get back before the end of the season.
  7. I think that anyone who saw the raiders play last night know that they have a tremendous amount of work to do to be competitive week in and week out. Cornersville will be a tough test because of their excellent passing game and no huddle attack. If the raiders play with the same flatness and lack of emotion it will be a tough game. as always go raiders!
  8. it just really depends on which MC team shows up tonight. Riddled with concussions, knee injuries and sickness could have a real affect on the outcome of the game. Some have called their "toughness" into question, how will they handle adversity.......
  9. Just wanted a shout out to Davy Crockett high school and their head coach Jeremy Bosken. Great opening of the season and great job by coach Bosken, players. parents and staff for getting the community excited about football. Keep up the hard work guys!
  10. Is the Hammlett kid going to be ok?
  11. JP Evans was all region and MVP of region 9-a and the lakeway player of the year. Great leader and very talented. Dillion Davis will be filling the role of quarterback for the 2013 season. Davis is very atlhletic and has been running the same offense for what is now his fourth year. He played alot as a back up and was the team's leading receiver last year. The raiders have every bit of belief that he will step up and be the same type of leader and football player that JP was.
  12. who was injured at Richland in the jamboree, glad he is ok, from what i have seen about coach busby's team they are scrapers for sure?
  13. coach frost has made his team better each year,he and his staff does a great job and they are fun to watch on offense....good luck friday night
  14. Moore county is dealing with quite a bit of adversity right now. At times up to 25% of the team has been dealing with injuries. Also discipline issues have contributed to suspensions for the upcoming game Friday night. It will be a great time for a gut check from the men in blue. Richland has a new head coach and i am sure they will be fired up for their home opener with the raiders. I would say that their could be up to 5 starters out Friday night. good luck to both teams and stay as healthy as possible
  15. i have seen both play 7 v 7 and dekalb is and I am not trying to put down the pioneers but dekalb skill wise is a ton better, do not know how the lines match up but they will be hard pressed to stop the passing game of dekalb...biggest thing for warren county is that they are a senior laden team but seem to change offensive systems to much, when you do that you take seniors and make them play like a freshmen...good luck to both schools
  16. Roy, that is a great idea, nice soft grass, nice straight lines and real paid officials, plus if you come early a tour of the jack daniels facilities, of course serving lemonade only...lol
  17. Moore County does in fact need a scrimmage opponent for Friday, August 9th. The team scheduled has decided not to play.
  18. We do have an opening for this Friday night, the team we were supposed to scrimmage has backed out.
  19. Due to a very short cancellation the Moore County Raiders are looking to fill a scrimmage date this Friday, August 9th? The field is painted and the officials are paid, for that reason we would love to host a scrimmage at our place. Anyone interested please contact coach scott smith at scott.smith@moorecountyschools.net or text or call 615-210-9707. Thanks!

  21. Due to a possible cancelation, Moore County is seeking a possible home scrimmage for Friday, August 9th. Officials are already paid for and the field is painted and ready to go. 22. i apologize to coach brown, the school has wond 8 games twice and overall has a 46-49 record since starting as a school, three below, not bad, i hope this is a white house heritage thread not white house, they are and have been a super program for many years, personally one of the best places to watch a football game anywhere, esp white house vs. portland in the hey day
  23. at some point to get different results you will have to try another formula, i know that is not always popular but sometimes it is needed
  24. coach mote will do fine. Now that goodpasture is away from Alcoa, you could probably add 2 or 3 more state championships if they had been, As long as he is surrounded by good assistants he is going to have a superb group of players that will have not only size and strength but also speed. You probably will not really know what you have until you get to the second or third level of the playoffs. Many times a coaches record is reflected by talent or lack thereof. Coach Martin was and is a good man. He will be very hard to replace. Lots of very solid coaches applied for the job but i would think the pond for candidates was narrowed to many church of christ coaches which is very few, take the few that have won and it gets even smaller. I think Goodpasture is at a tipping point in many things of how they are going to proceed in many things, just not limited to athletics. Barring a ton of injuries or a mass exodus the cougars should minimum win 7 or 8 games each year...good luck cougars, you lost a great one, replaced him with a medicore one, we all like comeback stories and i wish coach mote luck in the years ahead. he will never walk into an opportunity like this again, make the most of the chance and prove that you have learned from your mistakes and gotten better at your craft, it is what hopefully we all learn as we get older and hopefully wiser
  25. Collinwood has a very solid team, the quarterback is very solid and they have a solid running back. They have good size on the line but not a lot of numbers. Coach Statom lost his longtime defensive coordinator and is calling both the offense and the defense. They are a team that if avoiding key injuries, the quarterback and starting running back will be much better at the end of the season than they are right now. Coach Statom is a great coach and will have them peaking at the right time.
