Coach I will tell you what I think. First off, I have run into a lot of coaches who DO NOT and WILL NOT allow girls to wrestle boys. Some just think it's an abomination of God himself to allow that to happen. I personally agree with you in full. But all I can tell you is good luck with that. I don't know what they do in other states, but I do feel a change is needed. If our state's girls program was better than it is, then I wouldn't complain. If we could offer more opportunity, more interest, and more matches for the girls then all this would be a moot point. But it's not. My advice would be to start a petition on http://www.change.org/ Gage the interest across the state and see what you come up with. Use the coaches email list to promote it and go from there. Other than that, I got nothing.

I am starting a youth program and am looking for tournaments local to the I-24 & I-75 region of TN between Clarksville over to Knoxville and down into GA and Alabama. I've checked AAU and themat.com and have not found anything for the months of October-January. If you know of any tournaments fitting the description, please post and let me know. Thank you.

When is the spring game or any scrimmages?

Word on the street is the following. 1. Former UT coach Bruce Pearl is looking to get back into coaching and has expressed interest 2. Whitt Taylor, Don Embry and Bill P. are going to take over the program 3. They will proceed with out a coach and play a street ball AAU style of basketball

I don't have a horse in the race. But I will say this. Should Central have backed out? Probably not. Does it hurt the sport? Probably so. But I am more upset with the fact that WV is complaining of professionalism, but is using the T to bash another program. What does it gain? When I wrestled I learned that you win and loose the same way. Things haven't gone some people's way at both schools and that's unfortunate. If and when I feel slighted in life and in the coaching profession. I don't broadcast it, I take account of it and keep moving forward. Bashing another team for whatever reason, justified or not is foolish. Waller with the pigs and everyone gets dirty, but the pig likes it.

Why is it that Coffee County did not get a home playoff game? I thought that 1 & 2 in the districts would get home game? Are there other teams that have come out like this? Or is it just the catch 22 of the system as Coffee County was the 32nd team in? .

To imply, suggest or insinuate that a player is 19 years of age during his junior year of high school is absolutely incendiary! This is just another example of the "Tullahoma Elite" trying to drag down the hard working, blue collar people of Shelbyville. Perhaps I should mention that a certain Tullahoma running back is using steroids, or that there may be an offensive line man from another county that hasn't moved into the school zone or maybe I should go over the top and ask Tullahoma to open the books on how the jumbotron was paid for? I've seen Lavergne play. I don't think it's going to be the blow out everyone thinks it is. Just because it's "Rutherford County Football" doesn't mean its gonna be a cake walk for Rutherford County's worst team. Make your predictions now. Check back when it's in the books.

Mathers will get his yards because Siegel' D is horrible. But the Siegel offense isn't about to slow down and it will be a shoot out. The group of kids they have over there are winners and they are the most athletic bunch they've ever had.
