Well Well Well I see a lot of people are eating some crow this.morning! How about those Dresden Lions! You know my son is one of those boys and this team has more heart than any I have seen in a long time. Last night was the perfect example as a fan from Trenton told us he thinks our boys will go all the way because he has never seen a team of boys play with heart like ours! Another fan from Trenton said our boys were the best team they have seen all year and hopes they win it all! I am so proud of my boys!!

Congrats Coach Hodge! I can't wait for the season to begin! I know that great things are in the future. Work'em hard!!

You took the words right out of my mouth! They are hungry and ALL are home grown! I have a feeling our boys are going to whip out a surprise on our opponents and sneak in like a lion often does before pouncing on our prey! GOTTA LOVE ME SUM LIONS!! DLU! ALL THE WAY!! I just want to say that the coaches have been doing a great job keeping the boys laughing and being serious all at the same time! Way to go coaches on your performances as coaches and leaders! You all should be very proud of what you have accomplished this year!

I have been so busy that I haven't had one chance to post anything on here! I love my Lions and they have more heart than any team I have seen this year by far! I am not sure how the game will go but I hope that it will be physical but injury free! Our boys have played some tough teams, big teams, and fast teams but in the end of the four rounds in the Playoffs we are still standing and our scores show that nothing was handed to us! In fact, in most of the games we had to play the opposing team and the refs and still came out on top. Our boys will be more focused than ever before as they enter the field to watch our other West TN teams play and then when they step on the field to rumble and roar through the most important game of the season. There will definitely be no slacking and there will be some hard hitting, from all our boys! Our fans are just as passionate as our players and you will see that when we come rolling into the stadium on Saturday, as well! I hope that your team is preparing because they will need the extra energy to get up from some of our hard hitters! I know that it will be a good close game but in the end I am predicting our Lions will bring home the "W"! Our boys are coming for the gold ball and wanting to make history for our small town! Our boys stick together and it is not just a one or two person show, they make plays as a team and celebrate each play as a team! It is all about the team effort! To My Boys...if you are reading this...Remember to always hold your head high with every play that comes along, play hard from the very first play to the very last, and most important be heart strong!! Let them hear you roar from the time you enter the stadium until we leave! I know you have this! Stay Focused! DLU!!! DRESDEN LIONS ALL THE WAY BABY!!!

IT WAS AAAWWWWEEEEESSSSOOOOMMMMMEEEEE!!!! If I must say so myself. #14 threw it and everyone couldn't take their eyes off the ball and #86 jumped up and grabbed it!! It was the best game. I am so very proud of our Lions!! They play with more heart every time I watch them play! They can do this!!

YOu are so right! They all have given up a heck of a lot to show their dedicated to the game and the team. If it wasn't for the support of the families showing our boys that being at practice any and every time is most important for them as an individual and as a team, their dedication would not be what it is today. We have a great group of boys who show their passion for football on the field and their dedication off the field. I am very proud of our kids!! This is will be full of expectations for them during practice and it will be tough, but worth it!! GO LIONS...ALL THE WAY!!!!

There is a chance that the game could be played in Dresden because Westwood doesn't have a field and if they come here they get half of the gate. I hope this game will be on our home field. I am so very proud of our guys, coaches, and fans. The game last night proves that you never underestimate the power of what the heart can do for one person or a team who wants it!!!! I can't wait to see our boys playing in the Friday Night Lights again!!! I hope that all of Weakley County and more will come and show their support if this game is played on our home turf. Work Hard Lions! Remember that Evey Practice should be played as if it were a game! I think we will pull off another win. I loved the fact that our crowd seems to grow a little every time! I agree with you on this one! Win one for the "CRAZY"!!! Can "CRAZY" be at the game, anywhere, or not? Well, I know we will have the crazy people and insane posse there from our town but didn't know for sure how the other worked. He is what keeps these guys worked up for the most part. The boys will be playing their hearts out more than ever in this game for more than one reason! I hope it will be an injury free game and both team play hard and fair! Can't wait for Friday Night Lights!! The boys have been working hard on the field and even those on the side are praciting harder to get all our guys prepared for the upcoming show! I wonder why you are always trying to show up and say something on our threads when you know that no one really cares what you think. But it is ok, if you want to feel like what you say matters, you can stay on here. We enjoy a laugh every now and then.

Excuse me!!! He is a great coach!! He gets our boys worked up like they need to be before a game. He is far from being a problem!! Everyone makes mistakes and I am sure he understands everything about what he did or didn't do that was right or not right at the game. No matter what happened at that game...he is a great asset to our team and the guys love him for his enthusiasm and his spirit. I have heard from MANY different people about what a great person, individual and coach he is. I have also heard from some people that he is awesome for a softball coach as well. Get off his back and jump on a different bandwagon there will ya! He is good for our team. Go complain somewhere else!!

Very excited about the game tonight! It is going to be a great game between these two. I hate that this is only the first round and one team will be done after tonight. Gat is a great player and the Dresden team as a whole has improved tremendously! Friday night will be a whole different ballgame than the last time. Our boys are well prepared and errors should be low. The rebels are definitely going to have to play better than they did the last time to beat us Friday Night. You really are a trash talker aren't you. We are not going to get smoked but I am glad you feel that confident. It is good to know that we can always knock someone with their head so far up in the sky down a few notches so they are back to reality!

I know! I do not know why anyone,especially a grown person, would want to point out a kid by name or number unless they are just a bully. I will be glad when this game is over too! I do not understand why everyone is knocking Dresden and trying to say we are unsportsman like and take cheap shots all the time. Our guys will always take care of each other on and off the field. It is crazy how peopel try to bash others. I understand that trash talking MAY work to a certain extent but you don't make it personal by using kids names and numbers. I can't wait for game time! I just want to give a shout out to all our Seniors tonight! This is your night Lions! I am very proud of the Lion seniors and the way they step up and take control and keep the rest held together and pumped up. Just hoping for a good physical game with no injuries. I think that you just like to hear yourself talk! You are so full of it, but you can keep the remarks coming because you are only building our guys up a little more each time. I know this will be a very good game and both teams will be ready to play. I do sincerely hope it is an injury free game and that it is just a well player, full of heart game! I still think that everyone is overlooking the potential that the Lions have and the heart to win. I have been watching them practice and with each day the aggressiveness is more and more, even with the guys that do not play in most of the varsity games. I know. I remember that day all too well and my thoughts and prayers was with everyone during that time too. I did not know her personally, but I did know some of her friends. It was very sad and I am sure it played a huge role in the game and the players mindset. It is so hard to try and focus on something else no matter what it is when a tragedy like that happens. Our County does have some good teams and for the most part play hard from beginning to end. Just wish people would give our boys the credit they so well deserve. They have worked very hard the past couple of years and their accomplishments are definitely showing. It will be a big game Thursday night. Wishing our guys the best!

I really don't understand why all these Mustang fans keep bringing up their game against McKenzie. I mean really, one of their classmates was killed in a car accident and you want to sound like the mustangs gave them a beating! You all are just wrong in so many ways. It was not even a game where the boys could have tried to keep their minds in the game. It is ridiculous how you talk about how good your boys are and then you compare our game to the one against McKenzie! Dresden should have beat McKenzie and would have if we would not have made errors and gave the game to them. Leave the game with y'all against McKenzie out of it because it has not justice in any standing. Dresden in a great team and come Thursday night it will definitely be an eye opener for many! Go Lions! We know you can do it! Nothing is impossible! We know that from last year with Riverside! Keep up the hard work Lions because it shows more and more every week that goes by!

I so agree with you! Our guys are great players and no one ever gives our boys credit for the accomplishments they are making or for their abilities that show game after game. But, you are correct...there will be some very shocked people come Friday morning. These Stangs are probably taking it easy this week because they think their is no competition but they will be badly mistaken when they arrive Thursday night! I will be there cheering on ALL MY BOYS! You are correct hogheaven. No team is unbeatable. Everyone needs to remember that we traveled to Riverside last year and come away with a win! They were undefeated as well. Something they sure didn't expect. Our players will be ready and fired up when next Friday gets here. Dresden is definitely a team that does not need to be overlooked! They want it too bad. It will be a really good game and I am assuming our crowd will be full of supporters. Our boys have worked very hard this year and deserve the recognition by the community. If only the community understood the importance of their support and being their to cheer them on. Hopefully, we will have a great number of Dresden supporters show up AND CHEER for the Dresden Lions. They are definitely a team that will play anybody at anytime. Go Lions!!

Whatever!! We now know why toiletbowls is part of your username. We (Dresden) have a very good team this year with a good group of young men that play with heart. They have shown that by pulling together and winning almost all the games they have played. The funny thing is, if you don't think they are all that great, they made plenty of mistakes in some of the games they played and STILL came out on top! That has more to do with than just a QB wouldn't you think! That is called team work and using what works. It will be a good game Friday and I can't wait for it to get here! I hope we have many fans to show up and supports our boys! Our boys know they have talent! GO LIONS!!!!!!

This will be a great game! It is Homecoming week for the Lions and they will be pumped for the game Friday night. I hope they will keep their heads focused on what is ahead and work hard every day as if they were playing a game. This is the only way they can improve! I have heard that riverside has lost a number of players due to graduation last year, but that doesn't mean they won't coming in fighting. Our boys are going to have to practice hard every day and they all need to practice hard to show the coaches who really does want to play in the game homecoming night! Good Luck Lions! This game will go to the team that wants it the mmost so Lions need to be prepared and come out hungry from the beginning!!

Jordan was an amazing Kid. Never a time did I see him when he wasn't smiling. I just can't even begin to imagine what his parents are going through. I heard last night from Davis that Scott started physical therapy yesterday and doing as well as can be expected. So glad that the boys were ok in the wreck Sunday. Also, please keep in mind to pray for Maggie Lewis. She is a Junior at Dresden High School. She was in a terrible wreck yesterday morning and airlifted out to the Med. She has two broken collar bones and high level of enzymes in liver but not sure what else is wrong last I heard. She is in stable condition as of now. Thanks again to everyone praying for those in my town that are in need. Every little bit counts!!
