  1. Actually, no. Can you repeat it in English?
  2. I think I saw that play on film. Didn't a 5'5" 320lb defensive lineman run your running back down from behind at the 5 yard line?
  3. Coach A has a state championship, just not at R'Dale. Would have more if it wasnt for that pesky Maryville, back when Hillsboro was a great 4A program.
  4. And the award fot the longest CoachT screen name goes to...
  5. Go Stars! Come out sharp and get the Bears on their heels. It almost worked for Oakland, now take it to the next level and come away with the win.
  6. Its 1 AND done, dummy. Whitehaven has enough experience with it to know what the saying actually is. Just saying...
  7. Now take 3 of your 11 and send them to a new school that just opened and take your top 1 of the eleven and watch them go to a private, then fill in those spots with what you have left and still be a top ranked team. Thats 7aaa football. You guys have no idea what 7aaa fights through and is still the toughest district in the state and playing for championships almost every year.
  8. Heritage is crazy if they don't hire him. How long has he been at AC?
  9. Your numbers prove my point,. Which of these schools are opened zoned and which charge a very low tuition for out of district students and whats the power house privates nearby they recruit top players away?
  10. How many new high schools have opened up in your county/city school district in the last 10 years? Rutherfords growth has led to new high schools being opened in the county. That spreads the talent out dramatically. If Rutherford was a 3 or 4 high school county, I dont think Maryville would even be discussed. The best football overall is in Rutherford county. Period. No discussion of hs football happens without them being discussed. Even with more and more schools spreading the wealth of athletes around, Rutherford is always in the hunt. Alcoa and Maryville are too, but they are realistically the only game in town. Any of about 5 teams are capable of a state championship from Rutherford.
  11. Smyrna has 2 state championships at the highest level possible for the years they won it (5A), there was no 6A those years. Maryville has one at the highest level possible. Next.
  12. ok, so you are talking about someone who has been a head coach, but is now an assistant in Williamson...
  13. I hope the post season jitters don't get ahold of Centennial. I would love to see them win. Great coach and staff, great developing program that has surprised all the nay-sayers.
  14. Where is he coaching currently? I lost track of him when he went to Georgia.
  15. Wasnt it Hammontree that started the modern dynasty of Maryville? Wasnt he the coach that started the string of championships that Maryville is still enjoying?
  16. Since coming to 6A, Maryville has done great and is 1 for 2 in state championships. We can say you are half dominant, lol. Seriously, it would be fun to see how Maryville would do in the district. Arriving at the end of the regular season at full strength would be fun for all 7aaa teams to see.
  17. Smyrna is known for great hard nosed football. Franklin is know for playing tough and dirty. This is definitely going to be a good matchup and very interesting game. I'm still picking Smyrna in this one. +7
  18. Didnt Hillsboro beat Maryville in 08 and White Station in 09? Don't get me wrong, Maryville is the top program and team to beat, but my point is they are beatable and playing in a district as tough as 7aaa would make it harder for them to win state championship simply because of such a tough grind and almost every Friday night being a rival and grudge match.
  19. Sorry, was typing too fast. Franklin doesnt know how to BEAT a good 6A team is what I meant to say. I left out a couple of letters. But the other sentence works pretty good to. Beating a slew of 5A schools is probably not a great way to prep for the 6A playoffs.
  20. Maryville would not run the table in 7aaa. They would still have great runs in the playoffs, and some state titles, but not at the pace they have had the past 15 years. There is a reason 7aaa was ranked the 6th toughest distict in the NATION(I think that is what I read a little while back, cant remember source). Survive 7aaa undefeated and win a state championship and you have a case for a top national ranking, even after one season. Maryville's ranking comes from multiple years of winning, not from a punishing single season with a state championship at the end.
