Coach Gomer (Gomes), glad to see you chiming in on a non-district game for you......I figured since you got fired from Dresden, you'd have a Gibson County Pioneer moniker now....if you have a bye week, just come watch the Stangs pound your Lions again. I still remember all the trash you talked (last year) and so does everyone else. I am pulling for Mckenzie in this one...don't do it much, but even though it is a "real" rivalry game for us--they are better than there record shows...how's your team doing with your brilliance on board??

Call me crazy or something, but I was talking to one of my old college buddies from Dresden, and he said there is a suspension coming for a player----but it was put off until next week?? what's up with that?? Didn't want to sit him against the "view", but are waiting until you play Gibson County...any truth to this??

We must take 1 game at a time and not take anyone for granted. We should win this one, but we must control that line and hold on to the ball. Turn the monster loose and let's get em. Some of my buddies from R say they can't hang with us, never trust them---they don't always show their cards in the jamborees and like to play "possum". See y'all at the game!! woo hoo

I now know where the kids get it from...must be their family or parents. We watched a lot of film on you guys last year preparing for you, and I think Westview should be a little touchy from last year's game. I'm not a Westview homer, but I can call it like it is. All the years we played them, they do show a lot of sportmanship on the field and off. We've been going head to head with you guys only a few years, and you guys talk more crap than anybody else we play---even the Rebels (our real rivals) and they can actually back it up. I hope you guys have the "butt" to back up last years "antics". Who's going to be ripping the helmets off this year, or hitting players in the n***----there are a lot of teams wanting a piece of y'all. I hope your coaching change made a difference in your style of play. Generally, I pull for our district-----except the Rebs..not this time. On film, u should be embarrassed by that kind of stuff. Get ready....the Class 2A runner ups better strap them up. On all of our great runs and championships, we never disprespected anyone or any team. It'll be a close game, but a violent one....I predict Westview by 3.

I think they will win, but not by that much. Dresden was probably the dirtiest team we played last year. On film, you can see a lot of low shots and hits to the head. I hope that has changed with their new coach, but doubt it. I can't wait for our team to play them this year. I wished we were still on the schedule, but year in and year out---it's a tough game for us with the numbers. I know you guys have "revenge" on the mind for last year....I've been hearing all about it at work. Good luck Westview and hope 'everybody' comes out healthy. We'll be there on your side!!

Good luck to both teams. JB by 14. I was hoping the PC could pull this one out, we have something for them if they get to us. They like to run the chops about their abilities. IF PC pulls off the upset, they may need to go get some transfers before they show up here. We will put 45 on them if they get to us.

Better athletes, better coaches, better attitude and better program----Rebels by 14. At this time of year, we pull for the other team --------. Like my son said before our game with dresden, very over rated----stop the QB and WR--they have a weak defense and no other options on offense. Go Rebels. I will be on your side for this night. Looking forward to the post game handshake......maybe?

thanks...if I remember correctly from the last time we played there--the food and bathrooms are over there anyways. For this game, I wish the fan bases could just swap sides. Not to be disrespectful, but I think we may have a few more fans than usual. I was told that Mckenzie and some other Weakley County teams are coming to support us anyway, it'll be interesting tomorrow night how these people really feel about the Lions. My son said your team has developed an "image" of being the bad boy on the block---but "image" doesn't win many games. Unfornately, this will be my last regular season game as a football dad---but I will definitely be there next year to see and follow how this "awesome and great" football program continues to develop. I will definitely make 3 of your games next year against the established programs, I want my money's worth and want to see how your dominance continues. In a sportsmanship manner and all seriousness, I do hope for a non-eventful and clean game tomorrow night---but that will be up to your team on how that part of it goes. Good luck and bring an umbrella and video camera....you may want to remember this game for future historical value.

Medically enhanced lineman??? Are you accusing us of steroid use?? For your info, we actually have a year round program with some dedicated leaders on that team that push each other. A lot of us Carroll Countians came to the Week 0 game for you when Dresden played Westview. They took us to the woodshed last year (2010), but were not showboaters or unclassy. Our team thought your team was playing like cheapshotting punks. Your team refused to shake hands with a Mckenzie team after they beat you, as in a traditional game with even your most upfront enemy. We absolutely can't stand Mckenzie, but we respect them and shake their hands after they have beaten us. They don't showboat or play dirty. I hope that our coach turns our guys loose on your team. Without the QB that you have (and he actually seems to be an upstanding young man), your team isn't really anything special. One of the assistants even said you guys had about 3 or 4 punks on that team or at least how they were playing that night in Week 0 and then the display of non-sportsmanship on your loss to the rebels. I'll be there and so will our fans, I hope next year when you lose Canal, McPeak and Hatcher---you are still on here with your attitude. The reputation for this team was set from the first year you entered this district. I understand that your principal made the deciding vote to move you over here, but we don't play that crap over here. The first year all we ever heard was how great a school this was and the level of sports. Outside of maybe a girl's district title, you haven't done anything except run your mouths and play dirty in football. I ask your coach to please really turn his guys loose and let them play that style of ball. We ain't Mckenzie or Westview, our guys will throw down with you in a legal (physical) way and you will lose that battle too. I don't know what's going on over there, but I can gurantee you this---next year when you lose the very few good players you have---there are 3 teams I know that are going to put a big ole A## whooping on your guys and if I were you, I would be concerned for their welfare after what they have done all season this year. We'll be there to see your "self proclaimed" state title contender and we don't give a rat's behind if you walk out on the field and shake our hands---expect to lose by 40. See you at the beating---I'll be standing on the fence (opposite) of your fans in a gold shirt. And for the record, my son is on this Huntingdon team and I'll make sure he sends our regards in the first quarter. .....one more thing, I know precious Dresden is a small 2A school---but you are still bigger than us little 1A school. Don't start making excuses before the tail kicking that's coming.
