  1. I'd say this is probably him speaking huh? We're doing just fine. I'd say we have more people that can play to even worry about one person.
  2. if scrimmages counted we would have beaten sevier county three times in a row now. Greeneville 21 Mo west 17. Too good of coaching at Greeneville to let another loss go down two weeks in a row.
  3. Don't count us out yet.. Too early to tell what we can bring.. All I know is that the young Science Hill squad on Jv brought it to the indians tonight. Not that it matters but still.
  4. To schedule a 6A team. Im not saying we have to play just 6A schools in OOC games but we need to at least schedule one. We could still play Greeneville, but then add a 6A school or a really good 5A school in place for the Mo-West game, or vice versa.
  5. I think we should drop mo west and greeneville and add a team like Knox West or any big 6A school. Im not sure about dropping betsy though, too much tradition.
  6. Didnt y'all lose the chain gang last year? Those three huge linebackers/running backs.. See y'all soon..
  7. Not really sure who's worst, but I feel like science hill is trying to sell something every second they get at their games with their new jumbotron. I know it brings in money but lord play music or something, and not that lady gaga crap. But it's a city school, what can you expect.
  8. We scrimmaged Cherokee this summer and they looked bad. Like they didn't know what was going on. But you can't really predict from scrimmages, I say Boone wins this 21-14 in a very very rough physical game to see who's the tougher team.
  9. And as for Mcgue, it was just a calf cramp and he went back in later in the 4th. He was just too far away from the sidelines to hop off like the other players were so he stayed down. That would be a HUGE loss.
  10. Cramping has more to do with the athletes nutrition and the electrolytes they get before game time. Not very much with the coaches. I did talk to a few players about what he said to do about that, and they all said everyday of practice, he told the guys they better be drinking all day, both water and Gatorade. The humidity was pretty high during the game. And the 100 degree locker rooms they have at science hill doesn't help much either. But Science Hill wasn't slowing down. Coach put in 3rd string tailbacks and 2nd string receivers mid 4th quarter. Could have scored again if they wanted. Other than that, I say SH beats Elizabethton 42-10. Speed kills and our pass game this year is the real deal. Most important is that SH players better be mentally focused and not big-headed after beating the defending champs. Betsy will have a crowd there and it'll be crazy.
  11. I think we'll beat Betsy a little more than two touchdowns I'm hoping. I don't think they're better than Greenville.. But it's always a tough game played over there.
  12. I think Greenville and Mo West are always good games, and always learning experiences. Why go any tougher?
  13. What do y'all think? Science hill beat Greenville 49-21 and Betsy lost 7-14 to Boone in week 0.
  14. Science Hill wasn't undefeated last year going into the DB game, and the only reason people thought we had a chance last year is because we went on a little run mid season and were playing at home. Hopefully we give DB a better showing this year.
  15. Maybe that is true, the only thing that gets me is that, us science hill fans know that DB is the best in our area, but some DB fans continue to try and drill in our heads they are superior to us in football. I don't have a problem with DB fans, but it's getting to be rather annoying.
  16. Nice, have you all ran Clark out of Kingsport yet? Have to wait a long season just to get knocked out in the playoffs I hear...
  17. From what I saw, Greeneville never really started against us. I see major potential, and plus they were cut a week of practice. They lost the defense they've had, but saw flashes of it, and saw some great tackles from them. They should be awesome in 4A and should make it far, maybe even win again. Winners never lose their mentality. Just a bad night for them. As for Science Hill, this is the best team JC has seen in a VERY long time. Reed Hayes will be a major threat, if he stays healthy. Will Adams has been dominate since he was a Freshman and is getting even better.. Saw some running backs that have great potential, and also saw Tre' Fields out there (Science Hill's Basketball Star) making some great catches. Best of luck for Greeneville, hope things only get better from here.. I hope we can keep this exciting non-conference game going.
  18. No use in telling them, they have the mindset that in anything they do, they will dominate Science Hill. This is the best team Science Hill has had since who knows. Better hope it rains again when they play them, that way they won't have to worry about the pass much.
  19. From Science Hill, QB Reed Hayes, RB Will Adams, and Slot Malik Mcgue are all electric and all had great games this week vs Greenville.. And as much as I hate to say this, Devaun Swafford and Malik Foreman are the most impressive, and agile players Ive seen yet in the east region.
  20. haha wow, a new low. You have to make a post about science hill to bash them. I don't know what it is about you guys, but hey, those conference championships every year keep getting better. Till y'all even get to state, stay humble. But I sure hope you guys get fun out of running your mouths to Big 8 schools, hope sevier county doesn't fall along your playoff schedule.
  21. Of course the DB fans have to get in on this. Y'all need to be put back down to size real quick. Who cares about your 10-0 regular season wins every year, you can't finish. The only thing yall get off on is beating up on science hill, who hasn't had a "great" football team yet. This year is looking up for science hill, Reed Hayes is the best QB in conference. If he stays healthy, I think he'll give the mighty Big 8 Indians a tough time, along with one of the best defenses I've seen from Science Hill in a long time. But that's too far away to predict. On to Betsy.
  22. Okay you guys saying LC was the better team obviously are idiots. How many times does SH have to prove themselves? It doesn't matter if LC "almost" won, or you think they should have won, a win is a win. LC is at home and not in the championship game. Why is this thread even getting responses? LC couldn't have beat Clarksville.
  23. Losing shy was a big blow; however, I think this game would have turned out differently if she was in. She's a great player, but she shoots bad shots. Some of those 3's she threw up were horrible. I think she would have tried to take the shot rather than having Morgan knock down that three at the end. But this should still be a great game.
  24. Maybe you should learn how to use correct grammar? You sound like you are in middle school getting on here running your mouth. Last time I checked, whoever plays the better game usually wins. Bob Jones has a "week," (in your words) schedule? Defeating a top ten school in Hoover doesn't sound very weak to me. Sure, I'll give Clarksville the obvious advantage in the game due to their five D1 players, but hard work beats talent when talent isn't working hard, true? We will see today. Go Toppers!
