Richland has a current assistant coach by the name of Robert Phillips that would be a great head football coach for the Raiders. Coach Phillips is a high-character man with a vast understanding of today's offensive schemes. Coach Phillips is also known for his rapport with student-athletes. Great fit for the Raiders IMO! Good luck to Richland in their pursuit of a head football coach.

Eric Hatley would be a GREAT hire! He is a student of the game, a great X and O guy, has great rapport with his players, and grew up in and played for McEwen. The kids walking the halls would be begging to come out and play for this guy!

Wasn't coach Busby from Loretto? I'm still a little "fuzzy" on why coach Busby was let go. Could anyone enlighten me on the ACTUAL reasons for his dismissal? Where is he going to be in the fall? I wish the new coach and staff the best of luck.

So, your coach asks for his players to work hard and be accountable for his actions on and off the field. Some players didn't want to agree to this "old school" manner of coaching and elected not to play. And you have a problem with that, correct? I guess "quality" football programs do not ask for such nonsnese.

What kind of offense and defense does heritage run these days.

Above all other things taught at the middle school level the most important is how to block and tackle another player CORRECTLY. It would be a HUGE benefit, to high schools, for the middle schools to run the same "bread and butter" plays and formations (while using the same terminology for blocking assignments and plays)as the high school teams. This should not limit the middle school coaches from putting in theier own plays. Defensively, a middle school team may not be able to run the same scheme as the high school team. But ALL football players need to know how to block and tackle. How do high school spread offense teams coordinate with their middle schools? Do the middle schools try and run the same scheme?

They will be better than last year. Didn't a coach from Crockett Co. take over as the head coach at Bolivar last year? Either way, they will be fast!

I could care less about record predictions. Last year Camden had a good squad. The year before wasn't bad either. This year they will be even better.
