  1. You're arguing for wrestling titles in a football thread? Really? While you're at it, ask me where the world champ came from?? While she does compete for a Bradley County school, her and her family (who are great folks BTW) came from Rutherford County which last I checked was in Middle Tennessee.
  2. Either one is fine by me, but sticking to football I would say Mid Tennessee has long been the hotbed of football talent and fielded the best teams in the state.
  3. You're going to have to find me, not sure I know the man behind the screen name. If I do, then I apologize.
  4. Not sure what you mean about injuries, but I don't charge people to park for games. If someone wants a free spot off South Magnolia, they can contact me anytime.
  5. Wrestling awards 2 state titles (dual and traditional) and since when do we start lumping individual champions from other sports into football team title conversations? If you want to bring up wrestling, we can do that but you definitely won't win a wrestling debate with me. Wrestling has 2 team titles up for grabs every year (dual and traditional). As much as I like and respect both programs, most of their titles came post split and when you're winning/competing for 2 per year the odds of stacking them up increase.
  6. Barney decided to take his red & black tinted glasses off and see things for how they really are. The problem isn't with the school board, it's the non Maryville folks making un Maryville like decisions.
  7. Exactly... Brentwood Academy has more titles than all of the Bradley County schools combined.
  8. Yet their best team in years couldn't beat the worst Maryville team in the last 30 years. What I meant was BC's coach retiring after this year, we'll see...
  9. Maryville doesn't have a problem with the school board, but if I were you I'd be more worried if my coach was coming back or not....
  10. I've was an Adidas kid growing up mostly, the only time I wore Nike was when I was in Red & Black or most recently Orange & White when they went from Adidas to Nike. Back to the rankings, I wonder how good Halls must be at 138 because they have 2 kids in the top 6 there... Am I the only one who noticed???
  11. Quality over quantity my friend and without the high maintenance believe it or not. I'm quickly turning into a @cbg type of guy where I'm all about the private school model more than I'm not... The most difficult part though has been changing out the wardrobe from Nike brand red & black to Adidas brand green & gold.
  12. Love it, although I've never been divorced it feels like I went through one and upgraded from a 9 to a 10.
  13. And the results end up being the same. You all should repeat for both the boys and girls without any real challengers.
  14. I'll be happy to help you out, if possible you can message & let me know how to connect with you.
  15. Could be Pete Billingsley, they may have misspelled his name. He was secondary coach at Maryville during that time and one of my favorite coaches ever. Unfortunately he passed away a few years back, but I know a few people who'd be able to help get that ring back to his family.
  16. You're right more than you know. I will say that things are "under review" from the top down, whether that leads to any change remains to be seen. Thankfully the board is made up of some true Maryville folks who are at least listening.
  17. You're good BS, some people don't like the truth.
  18. No, getting a top 6 is hard enough and since there are only 6 spots on the podium we'll stick with that.
  19. Thanks for the pub, WG We put together a pretty good group of coaches this season for Pin-TN. We're using a points based system the same most polls use with emphasis on the top 6 scoring points (i.e. 1st place = 6pts, 6th place = 1 pt) and 1st place votes are in parentheses (max of 8) next to the wrestler's name. As the season moves along we'll highlight head to head matches, weight class changes, etc as Pin-TN has done every year. Good luck to all of the wrestlers this season and thanks again for the post.
  20. I knew a few weeks ago and happy for him and the family. Dad was a Wolverine himself on the ice.
  21. I put that on the head coach, you know the one who said he was ashamed of his lunch tray at MHS.
