  1. I agree, but some of those early round matches are more like pre game warm ups IMO. Most of those top dual teams are stacked from top to bottom and the added pressure of winning for your team can be tough too.
  2. I just took what Stars did and gave it a 2.0 upgrade. Doesn't hurt having two legends giving their endorsements either!
  3. I'll be available at MS state if you want the Cliff notes edition!
  4. Congratulations to former Rebel and current Science Hill HS coach Jimmy Miller. His first year coaching was as an assistant my Freshman year at Maryville and 25 years later he's runner up in one of the toughest AAA fields in a long time. #KingJoppa
  5. Maybe I'll give you guys my StarsNBars recruiting playbook, a good trash service always does a program good!
  6. Y'all have 2 heavies ranked in the top 6 off that team. In the times we have matched up at individuals in other weight classes we've split wins pretty evenly. I can't remember a time when Bradley has had that many good big'uns on their team though.
  7. Yeah, let them hate though. We've lived with hating for years and it gets to be kinda silly. I wish we could have got you guys this year on the MS level though. Would have been a close one for sure.
  8. I'll vouch for RW, she's definitely not your typical lady. She may not know much about wrestling, but I promise you that her football knowledge is up to par.
  9. Yeah, I don't get the hate on that Region's teams because they've earned their props over the span of a few decades. Other teams are catching up though, don't be surprised if a team outside of that region doesn't sneak away with a title in a few years.
  10. There will be a lot of good ones, but sometimes I feel the duals are tougher on kids especially if you're on one of the better teams. The chance of wrestling multiple tough matches in one day as opposed to the individual tournament where it's possible to catch a break with an upset affecting the bracket can be harder IMO.
  11. So what, I can say the same thing. You're like the Barry Horowitz of CoachT with all that back-patting you manage give yourself.
  12. Really? We know you didn't play in that game and your own teammates told me you didn't play in many of the others. Not to mention I challenged you years ago to a match and yet you continue to run and hide behind your screen. I'm even easier to find these days though Fat Albert.
  13. He was bench riding Twofdr, probably the best bench rider in East TN in those days.
  14. This post makes me smile, thanks Twofdr!
  15. Price's group was pretty good this year too. They're going to have a long run of success even after this year for sure.
  16. Considering Science Hill is coached by a former Rebel (Jimmy Miller) I'm pulling for them. #RebelsFirst
  17. Apologies getting this out as promised, Hamm and I have been unable to connect but once we do I'm sure he will get these posted on Pin-TN.com. Some of you will notice more than a few ranked kids jumping classes after the Top 100 in Memphis. A lot of west TN kids showed up and preformed well against many of their counterparts from middle and east TN. At the conclusion of the Region tournaments I will try to update them as fast as I can, but I would assume this list changes drastically over the next 2 weeks as each Region tournament is completed. I'm sure there will be a lot of interest across the state as to which weight class some of these kids decide to stick with going in to Franklin. No doubt this weekend's results from Region 2 will have a great impact on how things play out statewide. 70 pounds 1. Bentley Ellison (Higher Calling WC) 2. Bryson Terrell (Pride Wrestling) 3. 18. I'm not sure where you came to that conclusion, but seeing how they're only ranking TSSAA kids I'd say CF wouldn't qualify.
  19. Yes it is. TNAAU has done a great job building the talent base for the high school teams around the state.
  20. If he's a Junior then they are all out of this poll. If I included Juniors on this list then you would see it change drastically especially around the lower weights. Honestly he and a few other Juniors could possibly beat their Middle School aged counterpart but I chose to keep it MS only.
  21. Not much has changed from last week other than the 2 kids who were accidentally in multiple weight classes have been placed in just one and the team affiliations have been corrected on the others who were incorrectly listed. One addition I somehow missed the 1st go around was adding Benjamin Stigamier from Jackets Youth Wrestling in at 120. That team has more than a few kids ranked as it stands already, but I apologize for leaving him out initially as he has earned a place in the top 6 with his performance. Also, there will be an update after this weekend's tournaments with an emphasis on results from the Top 100 in Cordova. I will track the other state wide tournaments looking for head to head match ups or other results relative to affecting a possible rankings change. The last poll will come out after the last Region tournament has been completed in mid February. Obviously these rankings won't affect what happens before or during the TNAAU State championships but I hope it gives you all something to talk about. Good luck to this weekend's competitors and let me know if you have any questions. http://www.pin-tn.com/?page_id=883
  22. Got it. There's also a few kids on 2 weight classes. More changes will come after this last Top 100 in Memphis.
  23. Kage Williams advances to the 12u finals with a 7-1 win in the semis.
  24. Kage Williams will be heading to the semis tomorrow morning with a 10-4 win over a Nebraska state champ.
  25. http://www.pin-tn.com/?page_id=883 As promised. Coaches, parents, fans, etc let me know if you spot any weight class or team affiliation errors.
