I would like that. He is a heck of a coach. More importantly he is a good man. He is also a wonderful teacher.

Amen Sweet, tell it like it is. I have been saying that we have the talent, but the coaching is not good. Wrong offense, wrong players at the wrong position. The secondary is not very good, #32 saved us a lot before he got hurt. We have one corner in particular that gets burned consistently, and yet he is still out there. I know the players play hard, no doubt, but we have the wrong schemes on defense and bad play calling on offense. We gave up a lot of yards early in the year to DB, Farragut and AC. Then came the weak schedule which really hurts us every year. I do hope they can turn it around, but I am not very confident. By the way RWK, Blade has two state championships in 9 years, and quite possibly 3 after this year.

It is not going to be good next week. We are not coached well and the team has no chemistry. And we should not play freshman when there are better players that are older and have more experience at their position. Period.

Folks, we have players in the wrong place. We played a freshman at outside linebacker? Over sophomores and juniors. Our players better have a meeting, because they will have to when despite our coaching. Johnny is a good player but he is not a QB. 34 years and 1 state championship and that one only because they players were not going to be denied. Hopefully, for the players sake, they can get it together and win next week despite the coaching!!

I've been told that we are practicing from the gun on offense. maybe a little spread. That will be interesting to see. I believe that is what we should have been doing all along.

It is my understanding that we are implementing a new offense, or at least making some changes. currently we are benefiting from a weak district, no doubt. SS I will stay east as well. I guess the goal at OR is no longer state titles, just win the district and lose in the first or second round is good enough. Yay another 10 - 2 or 11-1 season!!!@

I am with you RWF. I miss state titles as well. Hard to go into Maryville and see that list of state titles and we are still stuck on 91.

I know he wanted to be closer to family, can't blame him there. But you are right, his teams would flat out hit. I firmly believe that if he had this talent that we would have a legit shot at a title. But with this offense, we don't stand a chance. The boys play hard but the coaching is sub par. Just telling it like it is.

To late for that RWF. Turns out we should have kept him or brought in Rankin when he was interested in coming here. We have wasted a lot of talent over the years.

Excuses, excuses, excuses!!!! We were out coached, out played and out tackled. Sweet, you had it right, we are not that good, just like I said in another thread. Our coaches do not sub they do not coach up our younger players to contribute on Friday nights. We will not go far in the playoffs, no discipline, no toughness and that falls on the coaches!!! But please quit making excuses. Al the talent in the world still needs to be properly coached.

Someone better watch the clock on the coaching staff. Horrible first half.

Guys. We are not very good. We were playing a 4 3 defense tonight. That was a good thing. But I do not think that we can compete with the best in the state. Our remaining schedule is relatively weak. I am just not impressed. Again, State Championships is what we are all about here, I do not see that happening this year.
