Dresden is part of the Weakley County School system which consists of 4 schools, Dresden, Gleason, Greenfield and Westview. As far as I know, no one has transferred in to play football although we have had 2 transfer out to play at the other schools.

Tonight Dresden won against TWO teams...Riverside and the Refs. The refs tried as hard as they could to walk the ball into the endzone for the Panthers. But our boys never gave up. They played a great game. Just be warned, if you push or knock one of our guys in the head, they will come back and play that much harder.

The Lion Posse is wild, crazy and loud that is for sure. We may not have the horns or bells but we are there with our voices and shouts. The majority are right in there with the team. I certainly don't think we act like we're at a funeral and I'm tired of hearing that.

I can see it now...ten years down the road you'll still be talking about how you beat that little West TN team in the championship game. Find something better to do with your time rather than trashing us!

Hevy, I am a definite Lion fan and I hope to see a repeat of last year (except for the Championship game of course). But please don't place the gold ball in our trophy case before the season starts. Remember all the bragging last year by a certain team.

You said " We CAN give scholarships to non-athletic students, but to my knowledge we do not." Does this mean you only give scholarships to ATHLETIC students? If so, in my way of thnking, you are "recruiting" student athletes by offering financial aid, via scholarships to these young people.

"over-rated, over-achieving"? Did you even MAKE it to the state championship? It may not have been our most shining moment, but we DID get there nonetheless. It was certainly better then being #3, #4, or #5.

If you watch the expression on his face after each of these "bull in a china shop" fouls, you will see that the fouls was indeed intentional. He does NOT belong on the basketball court.
