Dresden is part of the Weakley County School system which consists of 4 schools, Dresden, Gleason, Greenfield and Westview. As far as I know, no one has transferred in to play football although we have had 2 transfer out to play at the other schools.

Tonight Dresden won against TWO teams...Riverside and the Refs. The refs tried as hard as they could to walk the ball into the endzone for the Panthers. But our boys never gave up. They played a great game. Just be warned, if you push or knock one of our guys in the head, they will come back and play that much harder.

The Lion Posse is wild, crazy and loud that is for sure. We may not have the horns or bells but we are there with our voices and shouts. The majority are right in there with the team. I certainly don't think we act like we're at a funeral and I'm tired of hearing that.

I can see it now...ten years down the road you'll still be talking about how you beat that little West TN team in the championship game. Find something better to do with your time rather than trashing us!

Hevy, I am a definite Lion fan and I hope to see a repeat of last year (except for the Championship game of course). But please don't place the gold ball in our trophy case before the season starts. Remember all the bragging last year by a certain team.

You said " We CAN give scholarships to non-athletic students, but to my knowledge we do not." Does this mean you only give scholarships to ATHLETIC students? If so, in my way of thnking, you are "recruiting" student athletes by offering financial aid, via scholarships to these young people.

"over-rated, over-achieving"? Did you even MAKE it to the state championship? It may not have been our most shining moment, but we DID get there nonetheless. It was certainly better then being #3, #4, or #5.

If you watch the expression on his face after each of these "bull in a china shop" fouls, you will see that the fouls was indeed intentional. He does NOT belong on the basketball court.

Gleason has a freshman girl who is shooting 4 or 5 3's everytime she is put in. I don't understand why he's not playing her on a regular basis especially since right now they don't seem to be doing much. Not the usual Gleason girls at all.

Thank you Duckman. I am so tired of hearing how weak West Tn teams are and how everyone else can whoop us. I believe Henry County in still in the West and they brought home a gold ball. We had a great season and came in second. I, for one think that's pretty good. Good luck to all the West Tn teams next year.

If you mean class by pushing and shoving our players after the play was over, then yes you definitely had class. I have to say, if we had been given a touchdown we didn't deserve, we would have taken it too. But, it would have not have had the same satisfaction as getting to the championship game by deserving each and every touchdown. Now that is all I am going to say on this topic. The game is over. We cannot replay it on the internet.

No, we did not win the state championship but we DID win our way there, so we had the same right to be there as you did. Why must you and your "friends" continue to say disaparaging things about Dresden. If it makes you feel better, be my guest. I did offer my congratulations to you in an earlier post. You played well and we didn't. It's as simple as that. We are nonetheless proud of our Lions for their accomplishments this year and hope to continue in years to come.

The game is over. You won, we lost. Can we not just leave it on the field and move on...we probably won't face each other again in our lifetimes.

Clint, first off the moderator should know that you have definately said an innaccurate statement because Dresden has never had a player hit a referee. Number two, Dresden's Coach was tring to prevent a fight between his team and Mckenzie because they were stomping on the D in the middle of dresdens field. They were even talking to the dresden fans who were running the sticks telling them they were going to whoop them. Real classy huh? Jealousy isnt gonna get you anywhere bud. You come on up to cokville and watch us play and take note at the class we have and take the note back to the rebels of Mckenzie. FCA dont worr about this Jealous fan. Dresden players play with just as much class as the next team so dont believe that at all. Lastly about the supposed kid who got hit in the back of the head- i dont remember that happning at all and i watchedevery single play. But even if he was knocked out of the game, I have never seen one player beat 11 in my whole life. Dresden beat Adamsville fairly and even Adamsville fans will admit that. I am so tired of your trash talk about Dresden. Clint, you are the the who is undisciplined and trash. Go back to Topix with the rest of them. Maybe you can find some of your "friends" on there. WE really don't need you. Obviously, you are not from Adamsville. They showed how classy they are. Their #22 even came out after the game and hand shaking to congratulate our players individually.

Amazing!!!! That you should talk about how trashy and undisciplined the Dresden football team is when Adamsville was the classiest, most gracious team we have played against this year. No where on the Dresden/Adamsville thread was a word said by Adamsville about our players intentionally hurting one of their players. Yes, we are a physical team but NEVER go into a game with the intent of injuring an opponent. It is football, sometimes someone will be hurt. That is the nature of the game. Maybe tackle football should be banned and we can start playing flag football instead.

I think you might change your mind about that when our regular team is back.
