I have to say that undoubtably the best shooting performance I've seen so far in this tournament was from Lewis County's #1 fan. Batman cape and all, he hit nine, yes I said 9, underhanded baskets from half court the other night in the halftime of the Boy's game at Lewis County. Got a chance to talk to him for a little bit. What a great guy who loves his Panthers and loves to entertain the crowd. He was on fire Wednesday night!

Awful proud of Fairview's performance against a really good Camden team. The big fella had another great game playing through the loss of his Grandfather and a nagging foot injury. Hope to see a great game against Creek Wood this evening. Good luck to all.

Saw a call earlier in the year where one ref called charge and one called block. After a lengthy discussion, they charged the both with the foul. Last night, two guys on the same team were rolling around on the floor battling each other for the ball. (Did you hear me say THE SAME TEAM?) The coach, fearing a walking call, called for a timeout just as the ref was calling jump ball. The entire gym went silent in utter amazement. It just doesn't get any better than that!

So it was the Wavo girl's coach or the boy's coach? Three counts of assaulting a police officer? Ouch!

Two starters out hurt tonight. The most obvious block in the history of basketball for Fairview to win in the last seconds, and a charge is called. Tough tough place to get a call in Trueville. Just can't leave it in a ref's hand at Lewis. Ever. Even the Panther fans knew the got a gift. A couple of them even felt guilty and apologized for the call. Opposing fans! lol That's life. Looking forward to the tournament.

"If" Montgomery Central and Fairview were both to finish 10-6 in the district, and they split their two meetings in the season, what is the tie breaker?

It looks like if Vick doesn't make it back, the tournament could be anyone's to win.

Betheard (who lives right across from the high school) was recruited all the way from Virginia to play football in little ole Fairview? I guess you could say we've made it then. lol I hope Vick makes it back before the end of the season. Hate to see any kid end their season or HS career with an injury. Nothing but respect for that guy in Fairview.

Anybody know where the District Tournament is this year?

This promises to be one really great event. Glad to see it put together. Should be a fun night for football fans!

Fairview's 2017 schedule is set. Non conference games are.... Waverly Greenbrier WH Heritage Ravenwood Things just got interesting.

Two guys in 11AA. Hunter Vick from Camden & Coulter Dotson from Creek Wood.

Summit has a 6'9" Sophomore (I think) who has a ton of potential. He'll be a name folks recognize in the next couple of years.

Camden flat shot the lights out in Fairview on Tuesday night. I have to admit, it was pretty impressive. They couldn't miss.

Dang! I'll be honest. I didn't even know Waverly was still playing football until I just saw the highlights from last night. Let me send my congratulations from Fairview to the Tigers. Obviously a heck of a season!

May I also add that the FHS ROTC put on the most mesmerizing military tribute to our Veterans that I have ever had the honor and privilege to witness. That place was packed and you could have heard a pin drop throughout the ceremony. A very moving Halftime it was!

Congratulations to the Cougars and their fans. It was every bit the war we anticipated. Best of luck to you guys moving on. What an unbelievable year for our Yellow Jackets. So proud of this football team!

For the record, the Tennessean is incorrect. Fairview's only other undefeated season was 1979.
