AJ is for sure a highlight but we already got one ring without him and the 2012 final may have been one of his worse games and we got that one also. IF TC wins it will be won in the trench.

Your problem is that you are basing the quality of the coach merely on the win/loss record. When FC got shut out earlier that season McNeal made adjustments and look what happened. TC was so focused on playing Boyd Buchanan the next week and didn't take little 'ol FC seriously and there you have it. You know TC should have never lost 11.11.11. Outcoached and started playing basketball. And FC did win state that year easily and the following year with scores of 34-0 and 44-7.

Hilarious. A'ville nearly makes the State Final in 2011 and got embarrassed by Dresden (who ended up not even hardly showing up the following week.). You guys come back with an incredible season blowing all these teams away. You get humiliated in the Championship game and have to come up with some excuse so here comes all the "best team money can buy" garbage. A'ville is a class act and I would expect a movie will be made about your program someday BUT there is always someone like you that has to take the childish "it's not fair routine". You lost. You got beat by a better team. Your own coach said at halftime on TV "We are playing the defending champions, we had better show up". You didn't. Man up and accept it and come back this year and win the whole thing.

I know Watertown well and my predication is that they will post a 2-8 season this year so I say Oneida will run away with this one and be resting their starters midway through the third.

FC has completely humiliated TC the last 2 games. Who could ever forget 11.11.11 when FC pulled off the big playoff upset. Then last seasons 31-0 shutout. Without Long, could be questionable but don't think TC is as good as their schedule shows. Also, FC just last week set a club rushing record at 442 yards in one game. Even w/o Long, we can still rack up points.

How many starters did you lose to graduation?

Webb is 0-2 and faces a CAK team coming off back to back titles and only losing 3 games in the last two years and very nearly beating Powell last week. They will face FC the following week also coming off back to back titles and losing only one game last year. Is this the end of a great run for Webb????

Someone mark the time and date because history is about to be made BUT (here it comes) I agree with Slim! (Man that hurts). H20 will get beat. Not sure how bad but they always start their season like 6-0 then when they play legit teams completely fall apart. This year they are already behind the 8 ball at 0-2. . At least they won state last year in basketball (no......wait, they blew that to).

FCS is coming off a 9-1 season and back to back State Championships. Harding is coming off a 9-3 season and their 9 wins I wouldn't even call "games" with the looks of the scores. Discuss!

Long is absolutely on that level. Problem is, it takes a whole team on that level to beat Webb.

Some of you know the FC player names, some do not. All this talk about "no 3-peat". After the 2011 ring nearly everyone said "they are done for now-too many seniors" yet we had a better season in 2012 and "no" it wasn't solely because of AJ Long. What good would he have been with no line???Also, ever heard of Steven Hollis? (Now called "the rocket" and "the fastest white man on earth"). I don't think he even played in the 2011 ship yet was offensive MVP and also walked all over Boyd's huge D-line the week before (he was only a Sophomore last year by the way). True you look at the common denominator in both ships and you see these massive guys that are gone now (Dunn, Martin, Isbell, etc) but I personally know a rising Junior that, like Hollis his Freshman year, hasn't played much that will now be starting and will be a force to be "wreck"-end with! Webb will be tough and prob will wipe us off the map in the season BUT if you don't think FC can step it up in the playoffs, ask Trousdale, "Hey-what happened on 11/11/11?" Or type "Friendship Christian vs Trousdale" in YouTube. We were more of an underdog in that game than we will be WHEN we face Webb in the playoffs!

Now that FC is out of the division I can pull for the Bucs. Let's see you guys take it home this year!

Have heard so many say that FC QB AJ Long better get ready to run for his life this year with so many of the line having graduated BUT they had a lot of talent sitting the bench last year so I guess we will see how it turns out but don't look for FC to be a push over. They know that "back to back championships" mean absolutely zero come August 23 season kick off. I think that is the main reason that they won again in 2012. They put the 2011 ring behind them.

BGA is not on the FC schedule. Thought they were but it doesn't show.

Does a team like Knox Webb go in cycles like every other school in the world? Or are they strong every year and graduation doesn't really impact them much?

I think the '12/'13 FC team could have beaten Webb. Not sure about this team. Could be rough.

The FC Commanders won back to back state championships in DI-2A and dominated most of their opponents with complete lopsided victories. They have lost one game since September 29th........of 2011! Their line got mostly wiped out due to graduation and they are now in somewhat uncharted territory with the move to D2-AA. Not much challenge from MJCA, Ezell Harding, Kings Academy, etc. When it comes to Knox Webb, etc.....do they have a chance at going for a "3-peat" of championships?

Zach Anderson left to go to Lebanon Public and Anthony Williams is transferring to Brentwood Academy.

The day after FC won the State Championship in 2012 I said, "He won't be at FC much longer". Was actually surprised that he stayed last season. Happy for him. Ensworth is a great fit for him. He could have rebuilt towards another championship. Two of his up and coming players (rising Juniors) left after this past season. Wonder if that factored in at all. Wish you well Coach Cleve.
