  1. These two are almost identical twins. After watching both teams in person, I think Hampton is a littler more physical and not as predictable on the offense. Hampton I believe has the slight edge on defense. Bledsoe has the special team’s advantage. & might be just a tad more efficient on the offense and I believe it’s because they come out of the huddle and get to the line quickly and snap the ball before most defenses are ready. They like the counter play and will take a few deep shots when they pass a hand full of times If were a defensive coach, coaching against Bledsoe. I would load the box and blitz all night long. I would have one line backer about 4 to 5 yards off the line of scrimmage watching, reading & reacting to the QB. I have one safety back deep enough that when the QB drop back to pass (which will probably be less than hand full of times) keep the receiver in front at all times, never let the receiver get behind the safety. If they send two receivers then adjust accordingly by sending another db to cover; do not let the receivers get behind you. You gotta sell out to stop the run at all cost. If they’re gonna beat you then make them do it by passing/going deep with the long ball. If I were a defensive coach, coaching against Hampton it would be same game plan. Yeah, I know, I’m no coach and it’s easier said than done. SG was able to pass against both teams, but could not execute the run game effectively. Both Hampton and Bledsoe’s run game is outstanding and defensively stopping the run is up there as well. I think the team that is more balanced on offense is going to come out with the W. I’m picking Hampton. It’s going to be a tough challenge, but doable. Their coaching staff is some of the best in East Tennessee and they don’t get rattled to easily or panic when they’re faced with adversity.

  3. The light show and fireworks I couldn’t resist. Have blessed day.
  4. My apologies RD32. I stand corrected! I see that Grassroots published that he did in their article this week, but I wonder if that’s actually accurate on the break ?? and I’ll leave it at that. Either way, they do have a really great senior back up and with Radar & Buckner back it should open up a whole new wave of good things. Plus the addition of the freshman RB that’s stepped up. Bledsoe has a great team and SG will be playing with house money, but not sure if it will be enough yet.

  6. Not sure where your are getting that info from? But that is it true
  7. Yeah, both of those season Meigs clearly had 11 physical Tigers to SG’s 11 physical Coyotes. Same to you guys and Thank You .
  8. In 2019 & 2020 Meigs went on to play in the state title game. I attended both games. It wasn't a physicality issue the reason SG lost. SG played just as physical if not more in my opinion. SG did not have the same amount of talent/athletes/depth. Meigs clearly had more athletes/depth and the better coaching staff. In those 2 season Meigs was clearly better than SG as well as everyone else in 2A accept Peabody who beat them in the state title game back-to-back. In those 2 back-to-back seasons, Meigs & Peabody didn't lose one single season game or a playoff game. Both teams clearly on another level with overall talent/depth and great coaching staffs to boot. In 2021 SG lost 2 regular season games against Daniel Boone & Knox Catholic. In the 2ndRnd SG lost to Oneida and then Oneida lost to Hampton in the 3rdRnd. That year Hampton went onto play in the state title game against West View who won. SG beat Hampton that year at Hampton and during that game SG's Qb Myers was injured. If Myers hadn't gotten injured and another key player who knows what could've happened against Oneida. I will say this, in that 2ndRnd game against Oneida, SG played bad, but credit due to Onedia because they came in with a great game plan and was the better team on the field that particular night. If, if SG loses to Bledsoe, it will not be because of not playing physical. Talent/depth and coaches making good calls to put the kids in the best position goes a long way. Bledsoe in my opinion has the advantage at the Oline, but that doesn't mean SG will not be as physical. Bledsoe probably the better overall team with clearly the advantage of being at home, but we shall see. Have a blessed week.
  9. Yeap, I compared their schedules and we’ll after comparing them, it still didn’t help much. I kept leaning towards Oak, so I went with it.

  11. Great game. 2 strong opponents! GreenE conquered the trenches. It all starts up front and GreenE did what they needed to do. The 48 yarder was nice as well. Good win, but GreenE not finished yet. Have a blessed week everyone.
  12. Congrats Pujo, maybe next time Dawgs should handle PC. I heard the dawgs capitalized on an INT from the that silly dump pass SG did over the middle. They did the same thing against Grainger last week, but Grainger didn’t capitalize. I heard there was a backwards pass/fumble and it was a scoop&score by the dawgs. It’s very possible these 2 will meet again in the SecRnd. Hearing SG’s 2 key players should be back for Rnd1. Bledsoe is a very good football team and a great challenge; having back some help will be a welcomed addition. I’m out for a few days or so. Have blessed day and blessed new week.
  13. You gentlemen may already be aware, but there is a game on Utube between Sequatchie County and Bledsoe from earlier in the season.
  14. I’ve not heard that, but did read it on here (CT). Yes as far as I know both and another good one. Could that change by tomorrow, yes, but I don’t see it happening. I’ve Been wrong plenty of times before and I hope this is one of those times I am. Not going to make much of a difference to keep it close. If they’re back, then maybe it will not be dawgs by fiddy and only by 30.
  15. Let me clarify some things. I watched the Eagelton game in person, and my opinion there's 2 sides. I know on 1 of the personal fouls called in that game against SG; it shouldn't have been called. The kid was just making a play on defense. No need to go into details. Once a team (whomever the team is) has a personal foul called for the no nonsense stuff, it can raise a red flag to the refs. And after the target is on the back, the refs are more apt to call more things, and rightfully so in my opinion to try and keep things in their correct perspective. Sometimes we as spectators we see or hear things that may not always be 100% accurate. There're some great kids at SG, and the coaches are good people. I know things have been addressed and sometimes things need to run their route and hoping a valuable lesson is learned. A victory over the respected Dawgs would be awesome, but more importantly a lifelong lesson learned is the goal. A lot of schools will have some kids that get a little more rattled or fired up more than others. Some handle their business better than others. I don't have an issue with kids being fired up and playing with intensity or a purpose/goal to win as long as the motive is in is right perspective and done in an honorable way. If anything, SG recently has lacked the intensity as team in my opinion. Why, do I not know? Is it because they've been shorthanded, and adversity has called their number? Again, I do not know why. They are 14–18-year-old kids and the team as a whole is more heavily on the younger side and it looks to me like some growing pains. Almost every team will face growing pains and adversity and the team(s) that weather the learning experiences sooner, typically rise to the occasion at hand earlier. Being transparent. At the beginning of the season, I knew what SG would be bringing to the table from a talent standpoint, but I knew that they're young. Before things got rolling the thought process for was, they'd be O.K. However, they've exceeded some expectations due to the earlier success. Before the season started, they lost a great teammate, friend, brother and I think that brought them together. They played with their hair on fire. I'm hoping the recent adversity will trend them upwards, but it may take more time than one may hope. Hampton is playing on another level, and it will be hard for any team in the east to compete with them. I think a lot of us on CT know what Hampton is and brings to the table. They're just a solid strong team and have minimum hiccups. It's hard to beat a team like that.
  16. And did, against Happy Valley. Probably not over yet.
  17. A few newbies and small upfront. Honestly, the Dawgs have the advantage, edge, what it takes. Some of us have seen recently what both have been putting on the field (performing) and it’s no even close. Friday should be good for you and possibly the rest of Carter county the way it’s looking. I hope the best for SG & GC. More importantly all teams/everyone come out healthy.
  18. 2 key players Radar & Buckner will be out as of today…not sure about the other one?? I do not think that’s going to change before Friday, but if it does, then that’s good for SG because they gonna need a miracle and all the help they can get. Dawgs by fiddy and I’m not kidding.
  19. The dogs preparation will be top notch for sure. I love ya my neighbor, but I’m not buying it . Kind words much appreciated. SG does have several young athletes, but it’s gonna take a miracle. They’ll have to play at a premium and dogs will have to have their worst game and then it might be close.
  20. Reality! Home field advantage would be awesome for SG, but losing this game might instill a sense of urgency in them? Hope the best for them.
  21. Both have solid defenses. The team that has less penalties and less turnovers makes the pathway a little lighter, but the victor will be the team who conquerors in the trenches. That’s my 2 cents.
  22. Let me save a lot of you the chatter. The Dogs will be way more up for this game. I believe SG had 3 key players out against Grainger, and at least 2 of them, maybe all 3 have a high percentage of not playing this Friday night. I hate it for the kids and the coaching staff and I hope the best for them. Big Ones is way off on this one. SG has no chance! Hampton 100%! The Dogs have the wagon loaded and some good coaches leading the way. Have blessed week.
  23. I wouldn’t be concerned about SG. Hampton going to bulldoze them. Here’s how I see R1 playing out. 1 seed Hampton and advances Happy Valley has to travel to West Greene for their regular season last game. Happy Valley in my opinion is the better team, but with this being at WG and their playoff hopes on the line or potentially knowing it could be their last game? I think WG will play like they have nothing to lose and win. However, I don’t see WG getting in. Why? Because I think Eagleton beats Cumberland Gap and Eagleton beat WG head to head. Therefore, Eagleton will be the 4th seed. 2 seed SG goes into basketball 3 seed HV possible sleeper 4 seed EA goes into basketball Hampton VS York in the semi at Hampton. Hampton advances to state. I agree with Pujo on EA. They’ll probably be a contender next year or at least the following. Nice establishment they have. If you build it, they will come. We’ll, it’s built
  24. It will not be close and over in the 1st qtr. The only way it will be close for half is if that same team that was alive in the 1st 4 games show up. The Dogs will chew them up and spit-’em out and never look back.
