Heres where Cosby has to keep their head. Cosby is playing for state title & Coalfield, well they'll be there. If I was Cosby coach, as soon as I had any kind of lead, I'd pull my starters because Coalfield will intentionally foul at any time. Cosby has to think about safety & no retaliating on "cheap shots". Cosby is class act, so it should be okay, but when I guy takes you out & gets up celebrating with his teammates it would be real easy to lose. The State should have stepped in after Coalfields last game to try regain control. I am just afraid the actions will carry over & hurt Cosby.

I thought the alignment on the benchs for last nights game, was in bad taste for Oneida (the host). They put Cosby's bench right in front of the Oneida student section. I would have to think Cosby's coach would have been upset about this. In most cases, the host school will still be the "home" team for this very reason. Was this even addresseds before the tournament? OZ fans, where is everyone staying in the Boro? I'd like to go ahead & make reservations?

AC may have been upset this year, but wait to next year. AC is a lock.

This will be a great game. A defensive battle all trhe way to the end. But I give the edge to Oz. I say OZ by 23. Christopher will have 30+. Great year for the Indians though. Most were perdicting Oneida to maybe win 10 games overall, so I say they really had a great year. What hotel is most OZ fans staying at in Mboro?

Congratulations Oneida on the upset. That is a huge win, but OS is in a very bad mood over how they were cheated the last time you 2 met. So savor the victory, because it might be your last.

I know I'll get beat down for this, but I look for a District 4 sweep. Catholic is a lock. Fulton is at home & theirs no way their going to let the home team get put out the first round. Also, I think AC has decided this year they want the Region tourney & thats the reason the district tourney loss was no big deal. In past years they only focused on the district tourney instead of region & this year look for AC to win another Region title. The only game that's up in the air is the Kingston game, but look for a slow pace and a Kingston win with final score in the mid 20's.

I always go over and go up through Virginia, but that may very depending where you're starting point. But its a really long trip.

What do you feel is reason behind the FAR-East Tennessee teams having such great regular season records, but have trouble making it to state? Most people I talk with think its bad officiating & even jealousy from the rest of the state, but I'd like to hear some other responces.

Catholic is a private school, but so what? The only thing that means is they have a "wild card" in their corner, and by "Wild Card", I mean "the almighty dollar". And how the heck is Loudon going to beat them? I mean how many distict games in a row do you have to win before Catholic is going to get the credit they deserved. They had one close game in both the reg season & tourney and that was Scott County (which now most people are saying a fluke). Catholic is 4 real.

With the loss of Clint White 3 years ago, Midway has been on a downward spiral ever since, but Wartburg on the other hand has had a great season, even with the transfer loss of one of the best guards in the state, Wartburg dominated the disrict regular season and tournament. Wartburg's only fault this season was the region loses during the regular season. In the past, both Wartburg boys & girls have struggled at the Oneida gym or recently renamed "The OHS Arena". Look for a tight game, with Wartburg always keeping a 6 to 10 point advantage, until the fourth quater where they take a 20 point lead to victory. Good luck both teams.

Morgan County has 4 (or 5, depending on who you talk to) single A schools, which include Wartburg, Oakdate, Sunbright & Coalfield. And depending where you live add Oliver Springs to that list.

Going by scores I give Catholic the edge with Fulton. Fulton beat AC by 2 in overtime. I'm not sure, but I think Catholic is undefeated in district play, so that gives them 3 wins over AC & I think they were all more than 2 points. So that leaves Alcoa & AE. Are their any scores or tie ins to compare Catholic, Alcoa & AE?

Well, I already got my tickets to the Boro, so I still Mavs to state. The Mavs have tradition & history when it comes to the state. Look for another region champioship.

I saw a team play earlier this year & they flopped everytime the opponent caught inside. Well I knew one of of the players so I asked him what the deal was & he told me his coach taught them & would have them practice taking fake charges. To me this is as bad as recruiting or breaking any rule. This is teaching kids to cheat & to me this horrible. Plus its really dangerous, with 4 or 5 players going for a rebound & then you got a guy who flopped on a charge laying in the lane. I think if a player flopped & was laying in the lane & someone fell over him & I was the ref, I'd call an intension foul.

Yeah, but the game was at Loudon. How fair is that?

Don't get me wrong, I love the "K-town Bad Boys". I love watching them, its like watching a high school version of the old Detroit Pistons. The thing I love most, is Catholic can do something "dirty" & no one gets mad, its like well thats Catholic for you. I personally think Catholic will make state, but I think why the Prepxtra snubbed the Irish was because the 2nd place team in your district (even though they played the toughest schedule in AA) had a record of like 10-20 (something like that). I know that should not play a part, but this maybe the reason.
