  1. Coaches/Parents, We are taking a team of freshman and sophomore boys to AAU National Duals in Des Moines, IA from April 4-7, and we are in need of wrestlers at the following weight classes: 100, 177, 192, and 217. We currently have a team made up of state qualifiers and placers, and need a few more hammers to round out the team. We'll be traveling through Knoxville and Nashville on 4/7 (Thursday evening) and could pick kids up there. If you have a wrestler that is in 9th or 10th grade and would like to go on the trip, please have them reach out to me at rameyc@jcschools.org. Clark Ramey Assistant Coach, Science Hill High School
  2. We handed out invitations on Saturday night to the champions, and then followed up today with their coaches. We should know in the next couple of days who is committing to attend. When weight classes start to fill up, I’ll add them here so that everyone knows who will be wrestling in each weight class. Based on initial responses, it looks like it’s going to be an event to remember!
  3. 5. I wouldn't bet on Robertson for next year. Good chance he doesn't wrestle his senior year; instead he will probably focus on getting ready for VU football. Similar situation happened with Barrett Gauger in 2012 after his scholarship to Vandy.
  6. You might want to check out what happened in Region 4. I guess Higgins and Grindstaff are both going to be looking for jobs.
  7. I need a t-shirt guy for a tournament. Any names?
  8. But: If you contact Cliff Keen, they may send you a device that holds the two straps together and is NFHS approved. Search "Cliff Keen Signature Headgear Two-Slot Strap Holder".
  9. All of that just says that if Schay didn't win his region, being a past state champion doesn't come into play for seeding.

  11. It's going to be tough for Jack Finnegan to place at state; he didn't wrestle at regionals.
  12. 3rd Jashon Robertson (MBA) pinned Glenn Rochholt (Indy) Clarksville Heavyweight pinned and MBA Heavyweight pinned #5 Independence Heavyweight. Robertson beat Rockholt in triple overtime, not a pin.
