Does anyone know if the schedule for Division 1 "Small School" state will be the same as "Big School" state? The TSSAA online calendar shows Div 1 beginning on Thursday, 2/13 and Div 2 beginning 2/14. But since A/AA will only be a 12-man bracket will it follow the Div 2 schedule?

After losing a close dual to VA yesterday, UTC comes back and goes 3-0 on the day to take 5th place in the tournament. Dawson Peck (285) is undefeated on the weekend with a pin in the final match. A great mid-season addition for the Mocs!

My son transferred to Lookout Valley High School this year. They have not had a program in 3 years so I volunteered to be the non-faculty coach. I expected to just be coaching my son, but decided to have an interest meeting yesterday to see if anyone else wanted to wrestle. 22 guys showed up! 16 expressed a strong interest in wrestling with most of them having wrestled in middle school. Obviously knowing the high attrition rate, I expect that number to drop to 8-10 but I still consider this significant since no program has existed there for some time. I've made a preliminary schedule but will need to add some dates for dual meets (I'm set on tournaments). Let me know if you'd be willing to add us to a dual/tri-meet you already have scheduled.
