Here is how I see the possible Loudon vs Catholic match up Tuesday. Catholic has already had to use 2 pitchers on Saturday. One more against Stone Monday makes 3. Then they will have to beat Loudon twice on Tuesday. Thats probably their top 5 pitchers and would have to throw a tired arm for the championship if they should somehow beat Loudon twice. Loudon still has 2 good pitchers left. In the other bracket, CAK will most likely throw Kolinski. They will have to get the win to have a shot at AC. After him, they really dont have much depth as I have noticed. With all of this said, I am looking for it to be a Loudon vs AC match up for the championship for the 3rd year in a row. Does anyone know where the championship will be if this is the case? I would figure AC with the new format since they were the #1 seed, but they've had to play at CAK.

And what did AC do to get to region? Oh yeah thats right, they beat Catholic 3 times (twice in regular season, once in district). You can talk about a sweep all you want, because I agree thats what it should have been. Its just the other way around. Catholic hadnt made plays like they did that night all season. Guess it was everyone's birthday obviously. One inning in that game killed AC. Other than that, AC pretty much out played Catholic. If you disagree with that, maybe you should find out what out played really means. Im sure the people from Catholic have a different definition for that word as they seem to do with everything else, as in the ground rule double call. He did touch 1st, the ball was throw to 1st for the tag out. Until he touches 1st, the bag is still a force. Maybe their rule book is in a different language??

Who pitched for both teams?

No so sure about the out pitched part of what you said. Pitching does not concern how many hits you give up. If thats the case then Catholic did out pitch AC. But it is also how you perform with runners on base. AC put the ball in play when they needed to. In the first game, I will admit the kid did pitch well. He hit his spots nicely. But if it wasnt for a few diving plays, it would have been a totally different story. As for the Lindsey thing, it sounds to me like you could be the one carrying his jock around talkin about him so highly.

Not sure, but pretty sure this is a post about Powell beating Farragut in their dream world? Powell needs to worry about beating AA teams right now. Looks like Gibbs handed them a pretty nice loss last night, according to the scoreboard. Maybe you should think about beating smaller teams before you talk trash to the best team in the state so far. Yeah, the man definitely needs a rule book. Just curious, how can you protest something that is stated in black and white in the rule book? Maybe he was too worried about how AC would respond and forgot how to read. I would be too if i had to play AC the night after probably one of the worst games they had played all year. Monday night, Catholic played the best that they could, AC played their worst and still only lost by 3. 6 errors are you kidding me? Thats not gonna get you too far in the post-season. Good thing Lindsey is a quarterback and not a reciever after watching that last night. Nice job Mavericks. Looks like you found the rocks that has been talked about all season.

No sweep, no problem. Im pretty sure AC is a lil ticked or should i say P.O after last night. Catholic made a few plays that kept AC from scoring. That is about it. One bad inning killed AC, not to mention the strike zone magically got a little tight when AC was in the field. Im sure there will be a different outcome in round 2.

That would be correct. AC is comin off a couple of bad games that they have played, but were good enough to stick with their opponents. The whole AC team is just a little bit ticked about the way they've been playin. I'd be lookin for some explosion from this team in the last couple weeks of the season heading into the post-season. The AC-Catholic series always gets the boys from Anderson County heated. It is definitely a bitter rivalry. I wouldnt be surprised if AC gets really hot during the last couple weeks of the season and makes a run of the ring at the end of the season. They play Volunteer in an in-school game Friday. This should be the start of a long run by the Mavericks.

From what I have heard, they were both good games. Loudon was just able to pull out a couple, including facing being down 5-2 and coming back. Coach Thompson knows how to win, plain and simple. He knows how to pull out big games even if the talent level is down. Not saying that it is, just saying thats how good of a coach he is.

Why should they worry about Powell? Powell is a AAA school, AC is AA. I might point out that AC did beat Powell at Oak Ridge earlier in the year. When you did beat AC, you scored 7 in the first 2 and 1/3 innings. You were shut down after that. AC had an off game. It happens to everyone. It looks to me like they are clicking now with their last 3 games.

Just wanted to point out some scores posted on Anderson County's schedule. AC has only played Oak Ridge one time and that was a win 3-2. The Baylor game was not offical due to rain so it does not effect their record. They are 10-4 as it is posted on the TBCA website.

Deserve to be there? If you're inputting that Seymour should be there and AC shouldnt, then u need to get some stuff straight. We beat yall in both games this year. We made it to the regional championship, yall didnt. We beat the team that put you out. So you tell me why we dont deserve to be there now. We've beaten everybody we've had to to get there.

Hey, goodluck tomorrow. I play for AC and we have had some troubles with yall in the past and these last few games, but when it comes down to it, we have respect for yall. The game was 1 of the best i have ever seen. Yall brought in Thompson, which is a heck of a good pitcher, and for him to throw like he did on 1 day rest was just like wow. I think everybody on our side last night called that walk out shot, ik all of ours players did. But yeah, good luck against Pigeon Forge. GO MAVS!!! 'We run this ######'

Maybe not. Look at USJ, almost didnt make it to regionals. And yet, most people still have them winning state. Hate to break it to ya, but AA post-season is a lot different than A.

Maybe I did, but if you look at other schools for once, instead of the ones that you know about, you would know that Anderson County is ranked 1st in state in the polls. Its amazing how people still have Loudon to win AA when we have beat them 3 of 4 times this year. It doesnt make any sense if you think about it.
