That's very much true but I am pulling for a current coach that's in their building. But if JG gets it then he as well is a good coach that works hard and real organized not so much success as a HC but we will see

True enough we are all just throwing out the things we have heard or speculate but this is what makes the whole process fun while we wait for the actual outcome... Other than the season I enjoy this part the most because it's a whole lot of debating on some stuff we can't control lol.. It would really be great if we could find out who is who and we all have a sit down and pick each other's brains about their quotes

The kids over there have loss faith in him. My neighbors nephew is on the team and he said they only care for the assistants that just got there this year. He said Gore is just a yeller and he constantly complain about them not being the size or other metro teams.

He is labeled the OC but Anderson has always called plays..All he does and tell Anderson what defense they are running and what subs are made. So you are in correct. Like you are also incorrect about head coaching. So the bowling head coach can head coach football??? heck no!!! you lose more credit the more you talk. Baseball Hc is nothing compared to football, different game, different responsibilities,more kids and more time consuming. I know he was a great player but he is not the best fit for the CATS. Campbell is even the players top choice

Morrison is a great assistant coach. That dont make him a great head coach. I wouldnt imagine him going for it with no experience of even being a coordinator.

Bleacher I agree Work- that is true UGO was the logical choice to run trot offense because their backup was a sophomore who seemed gun shy. I wish I could have saw #7 #8 and #3 inthe midline option series.. That would have been sweet... But hey it wasn't needed 42 kick and lead got it done!!!

I don't know Campbell personally but he is a heck of a coach. And from what I have seen his teams are hard nosed. Overton has had much success but loss a lot of talent due to their offensive scheme. They have had no use of wide receivers so they all choose to go to the surrounding schools. Campbell always has a receiver or two that gets the ball several times. And I personally know they Antioch principal and know that for a fact.

Anderson has had a great career and has been a great leader for his kids. The job is Campbell's as it should be. He was asked to apply for the Antioch job last spring but remained loyal to the Overton program. He was sucessful coach at HLs and they always competed and he brings a lot of support with him. He will bring new life to the program with a new offensive scheme but as well supply you with smash mouth football. HE is a great motivator as well as a great math teacher. Im pretty sure the principal wants to keep him in their program, so The job will be his

The truth hurts doesn't it.... I know... Wilson has two rings but didn't had anything to do with their success... He was more of a manager..... I have three buddy so I know the game. I know thrash when I see it and talent when I see it. Those kids are talented and their staff is trash

All I'm saying is that they have a big hype only because they haven't played anyone. Their coaching isn't great honestly. Wilson isn't a good coach at all their defense is good because of their talent. And it's not hard to win with Fitzgerald still feeding them all of smithson craighead KIDS, I mean really they get those kids every year and still come up short.. Why is that when you get all the good kids from the middle school powerhouse and go recruit the others every year???? COACHING!!!! That's why.... You can ride pearls coach tail if you want to, but they will get exposed soon enough as have the same ending coming up short!!!!! Kenwood whites creek FRA Stratford glencliff don't have 10 win all together, but PEARL COHN IS THE TEAM THIS YEAR LMAO!!!! Get the heck out of here!!! Maybe the weakest schedule in their district. With all that taken over the years they never fulfilled expectations so what's the best way to hide poor coaching ...... Create a cupcake schedule to save their job...

Let's be real now.... PC hasn't beat anybody worth a darn... Excuse my language but I'm being honest.... Their schedule is weak.... MBA was the only challenge.... East Nashville is not as good neither, they watered down their schedule too and station camp is probably next . So PC hasn't showed me anything. They are still one dimensional. And they will get exposed in the second round like always. Finally won a decent amount of games with everyone's kids from all over metro smh, they have been stacked over the past 5 years with all the top middle schoolers coming to their school and never show up, so I still say their coaching staff is horrible . Talent will get you this far with that schedule, let's see how it goes when you have to really coach .Maplewood has one of the hardest schedules in their district. I think Maplewood pulls this won off, 28 to 21

East will run past Westmoreland by halftime..... If you think they are fast as East you are nuts!!!!! The game wont be close!!! To much speed, to many athletes, and maybe the most disciplined Metro team

Mcgavock just won the 7 on 7 at Beech defeating Beech Trousdale county and Heritage!!!! Those guys are fast and well coached

There were some great games there yesterday, Stratford has a couple athletes and great team speed.. Clarksville Academy was very tough team and very discipline. Mcgavock looked great, they are full of athletes. Seems to me that they have a brand new coaching staff. They beat Kenwood in the championship. Overall it was a great tournament

All due respect, coaching football and track is no where near similar, honestly those kids could have won with anyone coaching. If you are fast you are fast, one kid got the 36 of the 64 points from the decathlon because he was a pure athlete that was rarely at practice. I understand he took the it under technicality but that's why the job should have been reopened. The kids don't like him at all and they don't want to play for the guy. Hearing they only have 12 kids out for spring is not making it any better.

6th- Whites Creek- has talent all in the building but the kids wont play until someone can change their mind on the program. They lost a lot of kids due to graduation, so there will be an uphill battle for coach Stewart and his staff to overcome. Its doesn't help any that they didn't have a freshmen team this past season, to make matters worse. 5th- Stratford- this will be a good class for them but they are inconsistent with their identity. In my opinion I hear their head coach is the reason for their down falls. I hear from an insider that the kids don't believe in him and they refuse to play for him. Their favorite coach and the guy they believe in Jamal Stewart has left to get better mentor ship from Bubba Spears and learn under his staff. Im told its unorganized and spring maybe cancelled but they have returning great athletes so maybe it can turn around. 4th David Lipscomb- Losing Coach Mc will be a great dent for their program,which was a great guy, but if the remaining staff stays intact then they will still have a solid staff. They as well will lose a lot due to graduation but they return a great FB and RB that I know of. I believe they will fight hard and have a decent season but only beat the previous teams in the district. 3rd Maplewood- They are only returning 3 starters on both sides of the ball, but this being their second year under the spread offense their QB Ladarius Wimberly will be a very big surprise and outstanding player to watch. Offensive Coordinator Fred Burnette is very good young coach and look to see their offense putting up some big numbers. coach Broome seems to always get his players motivated, and they always play hard for him.The question for Maplewood is how is their defense. Every year they seem to revamp with new kids that take them deep into the playoffs but this team will be very young. 2nd East Nashville- After a couple of years of taking their beatings I believe East will be one of the best teams in the district. They have a solid number of kids coming back on both sides of the ball one of the best QBs in the midstate Isiah Upton.. Coach Waite does a great job in preparing the kids for oppenents, look forward to these kids making some noise. 1st Pearl Cohn- By far the best athletes returning in this district, 120 kids they should make some noise. They return a decent amount on both sides of the ball and have great depth in all positions. The question is how is the Qb situation going to work out, and what offense will we see. Coaching will also be the most important part of their season as well, they dont have an outstanding athlete to take over the game like they are use to having so game planning is going to be key. Hopefully they wont continue to disappoint Guys feel free to add your inputs

HighLife I agree with you on your last two post. East may have the best two athletes in the district returning on their team. Isiah Upton is a great dual threat QB and Patrick Smith is one of the best WR in the state. This is going to be very exciting to see how it plays out this year

Rest in Peace Coach, learned alot from you from us sitting down talkin during film swaps... You are a great man and you will truly be missed... My prayers goes out to his family and LA community
