Indian In a boys game a couple of weeks ago, tight game in the third quarter-player makes the steal, he is bumped hard at halfcourt as the other team looks like they don't want to give up a lay-up..no call; he is hit hard on the lay-up, enough to make the shot miss...no call, another player who has hustled down nearly gets the offensive rebound but he is mauled and loses the ball, no call..then that player reaches around and grabs the arm, frustrated yes but nothing intentional and he gets called for a flagrant foul. That was clear bias, four things go against one team in maybe 10 seconds time. Indian, do you care to mention the Bradley vs Blackmon Substate game last year? State tournament berth on the line and a ref calls a technical on a player from 30 feet away in a gym that you could not hear the person next to you talk for cussing????/ yeah thats right with 1 second on the clock in a TIED up ball game. The WORST call with those kind of implications on the game to date.

I truly believe the winner of the Cleveland McMinn game goes on to win the district and the loser wins out...which would put Bradley 3rd, at best, depending on how they handle business this Friday. You're opinion is just that yours, I am just pointing out that when it comes to Bradley High Football the players who work and make plays in practice get a opportunity too play period. If you knew any kids in the program you could ask them, a common theme for Bradley players is that the coaching staff is very fair. You are negative alot on your post just gets old. Almost all guys that mention politics that much typically did not get to play and cite that as the reason. Every coach wants to win and plays the kids that give them the best chance.

anotherback Owls are capable of winning the rest of thier games. As is McMinn and Cleveland. I don't think Bradley can beat McMinn and might lose to all 3. It's coming down to Cleveland and McMinn. Just don't think Bradley will win more than one of those games. Probably will come down to politics right?

'alt1958' A Rhea County squad that lays down would an unusual experience for me. I am used to them playing hard no matter how their situation may be. And I will expect it again Friday. If the coach did that then there will be some repercussions. That would make it even tougher. Bradley has enough injuries for us to be a little worried about that situation as well. I know how it is to have those tough seasons as well. Hang in there. Agreed Alt... The Rhea County teams I played were tough as nails. We won and lost 2 close ones and was blown out in the 3rd game. Never saw any Bill Horton coached team quit that is for sure.

='Sommers The Trojan's Great One must be remembered... Steve Henry has produced Solid teams since the 80's with several dominate seasons over the past 15 years. What grabs my attention has been his regular inclusion of Any team on a Soddy schedule Including Baylor, Brandon, Collins Hill and the harder than even the Tn State Championships... McCallie invitational and Cleveland duals. He coached his teams to win, not necessarily with control, I.e., crab/leg rides or edge of the mat techniques in neutral position, but with aggressive Offense against the Best competition. My Hats Off!! You gotta love Steve Logsdon for his many solid- may "bend- but never break" bc teams, which consistently won within D1 competition and I applaud that, but you always felt that feeling of Wonder. With all that said... Logsdon is without question worthy of the Hall of Fame here and elsewhere. Yeah I was always wondering how he could get his kids to win State titles OVER & OVER & OVER ... Amazing motivator

'CheckerboardEndzone] I'm taking Blackman here. Not because I'm hatin' on Bradley (Achilles) but because Bradley is dinged-up and Blackman is hungry. I think that combination puts the 'boro team over the local boys again. Pulling for the Bears, actually. This would be a good win for them. Checkerboard : Obviously any Cleveland fan or former player/graduate is going to pull for Cleveland and probably not pull for Bradley. Where it gets tacky or ignornant in my opinion is getting on forums under code names and dogging other teams or putting them down. Bradley/Cleveland game goes way before most of the young people that get on here and talk smack. Bradley beating Cleveland the last 2 out of 3 years is something that Cleveland does not like. It actually helped a man lose a job. Respect is earned not given and that is up to the young men that play on Fridays. We will see in the upcoming weeks who earns it. Understand this, when any Bradley or WV fans get on Cleveland forum to talk down about your team there are several that take offense to it. And Statechamp you are correct that is the way we are raised however there are several former players from the 2 schools that are great friends and respect is there typically even if there is no friendship. Rivalry is when 2 teams have success against each other not when only 1 team has success. "Talkin smack never won a game but definately inspired the opposition".
