Sorry to jump on you, but there are a lot of people who post on here that like to stir the pot and post negativity about WB losing players. There have been a lot of rumors and most of them aren't true. Last year people on here made it out like the sky was falling, everyone was leaving, and we wouldn't even be able to field a team. Well, we just had our best team in over a decade last year. I just don't understand why so many people from schools like Maryville, Alcoa, and Greenback want to see WB fail and enjoy the negativity. It is just very bizarre to me. People should be grateful for all your success and the good times and stay humble. Nothing good lasts forever.

Does it hurt losing good players every year? Of course it does. It would hurt any team. Was that a sincere question or are you just stirring the pot?

I'm hearing good things out of WB. I'm told that they had a good freshman turnout this year and the team is feeling more confident after making the playoffs.

This is all very funny and stupid because I have never heard Irish or Scandinavian people complain about logos. I am Irish myself and like the traditional Fighting Irish logo. What the h*// is wrong with people?

The basketball Govs played a heck of a game tonight at Oak Ridge. They had a chance to tie it up at the end but missed and lost 70-67. They overachieved this year.

Why not just call it Eagleton High?

William Blount and Heritage are getting the new training facilities after all. I'm happy for the county kids

They honored the Carpenters Middle boy's basketball team at a WB game recently. They were county champs, they had a 20-8 record, and ended up being a top 15 team in the state. I guess Maryville or Alcoa will have a really good boy's basketball team in the next few years.

C.J. Shores, a longtime WB supporter, passed away this morning. I personally met him about 11 years ago, but he had been connected to WB since it opened. He hardly ever missed a football game. It will be odd going to games next year and not seeing him in the stands. It just won't be the same. R.I.P. buddy.

But what about academics? You didn't even mention that.

It is almost like you want WB to fail. Are you the SID for one of those schools?

I heard Oakland fans complaining about the refs. Lol They benefited from two personal foul penalties on their best drive and still couldn't score.

Not complaining. I just find it strange that a Maryville fan would complain about another team getting transfers when Maryville has had a lot of good players transfer in over the years. And two that I know of that were getting their names called a lot last night.

I heard the names of kids from Heritage and WB being called by Judkins a lot last night. Just saying
