Fairview High School - 2023 (4/5), 2022 (4/8), 2021 (1/4), 2020, (2/2), 2019 (E8/7), 2018 (3/7) Not sure we are top 20 but wanted to give the kids some recognition for the hard work and consistency over the last 11 years, at what is not a traditional wrestling school. But we are trying to change that.

The Williamson County team Fairview is the closest to the Memphis teams.

Hunter did an awesome job. Also congrats to the Oline and the FB, nice to have Charlie back. Caldwell also place 1st in the Freshman City wrestling Tournament at 170lbs.

Lewis and Fairview are in the west as it relates to the quads in playoffs and they both play in a Dist. with Camden.

I think you can Josh Ortiz-Derrick (Fairview) to the 9th grade newcomers list.

Good luck with the rest of your season LC. When you guys continue to slander a good Man in our community instead of talking football it is time to move on. I just wanted to defend our coaching staff first.

It was a heated contest between to good teams.

You are disrespecting Coach Hughes ,you are accusing the man of teaching them to comment dangerous and illegal penalties. And putting those egregious acts above winning and the team. Unless you have been to a practice and seen are heard him instructing kids in that manning you should not make those allegations.

We can banter back and forth and you can say what you want about FV , but there is no quit in them. Say what you will I will still be pulling for LC they do represent 11aa.

Yes but going forward you have to admit you can not be giving up 514 yds and that is with us helping with the flags. We just have to cleanup the flags and turnovers to compete with the CPA's and East Nash's to have a shot at Alcoa. We are not just trying to improve on our playoff streak. I did like the way you came out throwing. I would continue flooding the flats and throwing the ball with the option to have your QB run I thought 15 ran well when he tucked it.

I keep hearing how Fairview's kid's are dirty mean bullies. And how our 165lb lineman picked on your 290lb weight lifting champs. And one poster said there were players punching others thur their face mask. To hear you LC fans cry on hear you would think that you guy lost you game. If the game was that bad with dirty play that crew of zebras would have thrown a flag. If there was a punch thrown and connected that group of LC grads dresses as zebras would have thrown them out of the game. I think it was 13 flags to 4 and only one was for unsportsmanlike it was for taunting. Of course we did not get the late hit on Fairview sidelines. You act as if you are rising choir boys in LC , it was going both ways with alittle chippy stuff it is tackle football. I am not going to sit by and let Grown men call our boys dirty. Our kids play hard if you do not like it you may want to head back over to the soccer field or pick up a basketball. And you did not take it from us. FV rushing 306 ,avg 9.5 LC 201 avg 4.1 . 514 yds total for FV and 308 for LC . We give the ball to you on a short field 3 times. And every time we made a play the LC Class of 1976 was there to throw a flag. So I would not beat my chest to hard you may want to get back to work. Your fullback was your leading rusher. Your Mr Graham turned out to be avg. at best (57yds). So in stead of whining about being picked on by FV you may want to get back to work. Oh and LCP I discovered this week the feeling is mutual I don't like you or your town either. And no you guys do not have class. I have read your posts , it is more like a horses --- well I think I will stop there.

Only threat in quad 4 would be Westview. The west is weak this year.

Hats off to LC and good luck on your way to the playoffs you should do well in quad 4. Would like to catch you guys again in the playoffs but there looks to be a lot of work to do in quad 3. Going forward this game will help us prepare for what is coming. Good game

I am aware of that , the name of the thread is Gerry's 2013 3A playoff look. I was being a smarty pants because I was having to wade Thur all the 4A talk. It was hi jacked after Gerry said he would start a 4A later. No big deal , but I do want to thank Gerry for all the hard work. Can not wait for the update after this Fri. games. It makes for some fun reading.

Well it has translated into wins in Fairview , can not speak for East. You have been on here long enough to know the talk in EH that is why you made the comment. It also translates on the other end when you are not excelling , but you know that don't you. A lot of adults and kids have been putting in a lot of hard work over the years. To hear LC talk we had a couple talented kids for a couple years and now we will just fade away. Fairview does respect your program and you may win but you will have to take it. It will not be given away. It will be a great game.

Yes the past does matter. In the past 4 years this senior group at Fairview is 36 and 8 and have learned how to win. This same group also won championships in middle school. As well as the middle school kids that are presently playing for a championship today of a league that Lewis is in and has not showed in a while. Also saw where there was a game early in the week where Fairview sent 23 freshman to Lewis and yes the 23 freshman beat the 40 plus Lewis team. It looks as if the future also matters. Sounds like more than a year or two. Your problem with the past theory is our kids do not remember not winning. So I believe the culture of winning and good football in Fairview is here to stay. Defense wins ball games FV is giving up 9.5 a game LC giving up 17.6. The two speed guys Fairview lost to Graduation last year where offensive weapons not defense. Their defense is still there and they replaced their speed with speed.

Fairview had the key players out last , Wall (MLB) with a back injury and Jack Rainey (QB) shoulder. Heck Fairview won last year with backups. I hope for LC sake those Backups are not playing this year.
